  1. Thanks, really appreciate all the kind words, and they sound great. Now I'm looking for other projects to tide me over the winter, don't think I'll come upon another deal like that for a while, but, as I say to my wife when we drive by a garage or estate sale...you never know.....
  2. Well, I had the same thoughts regarding a used pair at first, but decided not to jump on that train right away with my welcome...but, now the cat's out of the bag as they say.... Yes, Craig, you might seriously consider a pair of Heresy I's or II's, first of all because they would probably be easier to find to give a listen, secondly to purchase a really nice pair would cost a bunch less than a new pair of Heresy III's, and an older pair will hold their purchased value better than the III's which will suffer from the "drive it off the lot" syndrome....And by the way, yes, a 15x25 space is a nice size, and could accommodate an even larger cabinet model which would give you a greater bass response, unless you had planned on matching the Heresy's with a sub. Just a thought.
  3. Actually I think you should make this your avatar.
  4. They've been for sale elsewhere for a looooonnnnnggggg time.
  5. Hi, and welcome to the forum. Wondering what your decision process was for choosing the Heresy III, considering you've not heard them? Great speaker no doubt, but it may/may not actually fit your listening environment/music tastes.....There is a huge amount of experience here and lots of folks willing to help. Have fun with the journey...
  6. Looking at installing a pair of one or the other....(I know, I know...install both and see which ones you like...), but my question is I suppose, from a "technical" or "desirable" perspective, which of the two carries more rarity/worth/sound quality/etc, etc, etc. Any difference in freq. response? K-33-P is square magnet, K-34E is round magnet. Thanks for your input.
  7. Well, hey, good response already....great! A week or two in Burgundy? Well, lah de dah!! Just kidding, that's cool. So are you partial to red or white burgundy? or both? Let's keep this thread active. Would love to hear of some everyday drinking recommendations, as well as some special occasion items. Recommendation for wine shops in your locales would be cool too. I'm always looking for a nice shop wherever I travel. Thanks again for your responses. Jim BTW, I have recently been using Charles Shaw cab to clean my tools, seriously, it's that bad....
  8. Have been enjoying, drinking and collecting wine for about 35 years....Nowadays, have a small cellar mostly with cab and Bordeaux blends. Have some great Washington State wines most folks have never heard of. I have a feeling there are a few wine lovers here....Perhaps we could start an ongoing thread here, like the "Scotch and Cigars" thread? To get it started, had a bottle of 2009 Figgins Walla Walla Valley Red Blend tonight with a marinated skirt steak on the grill. Figgins is the family name of the same folks that produce Leonetti wines in Washington State. Fantastic Bordeaux blend. Really, really great stuff and I believe there are still openings on the mailing (purchasing) list. Leonetti is long closed..... http://www.figginswine.com/
  9. Paint? Really? Who would do that? I thought maybe those were coded LS WP....
