  1. Feeling real happy about my new truck (GMC Sierra Denali). But it has Blose sound in it. Could have been a flawless purchase, but no. Off to the hifi shop for a upgrade. Roy
  2. Rudy, I am a fan of the flase corners, if you lack them in the room. There are MANY posts on the subject, just run a search. The most interesting that I have saw lately were by Tigerwoodkhon (I think). They were a real nice design and would leave the speaker portable (realitive term with khorn) and were not real intrusive to the room. Roy
  3. I would lean to the older units. Freshen them up, and you know what you have. Mac today is a name only. The company is now japanese owned. IMHO the quality is still good, but NO LONGER the great AMERICAN powerhouse. A perfect example of that is the car stereo line. Made by Clarion and a Mac name printed on it. Roy

Didn't know they made sound systems, too. ---------------- LOL, they most likely sound better than the BLOSE lfiestyle series.
  5. Bob, Congrats..... If it makes it thru the week end trade that sucker on monday. Roy
  6. Bill, Just wait till your components are "taken on loan". Have to feed all those. Roy

(1) Set into prpoer corners. (they still have a soundstage that is huge, just drop a little on the bottom end). (2) Fed with quality components (garbage in = garbage out) (3)A good recording. That being said, your rather bold trashing of the great horn is rare. PWK had a button that would be perfect for such a baseless statement. ---------------- Fyi.. the last set of Khorns I've heard were powered by McIntosh Gear (Amp/pre-amd/CD-Player) and were placed in adjacent corners.... we played several CD's.... My statement isn't baseless - in fact I worked in the audio industry before and have been involved as a fan of audio since I was 12yrs old (I'm 34 now)... Turning it back on you, have you ever heard a pair of RF7's on good gear/source etc? ---------------- Yes, I have heard RF-7's. They are a nice product. But they are not in the same league a most of the Heritage line.
  8. Huck, Good luck in your search. Can be a hassle, but can be real fun too....
  9. I bet he listens to a "lifestyle" system also..........
  10. Welome to the Brotherhood. It's a slippery slope from here on, they MULTIPLY..... enoy and congrats

Of course.... Can image well? hell no... Khorns are also some of the most innfacturate-sounding speakers I've heard... They're best used for small concerts or dance halls where you need tons of volume and SPL... I can't comment on belles or corns as I haven't heard them... having owned Forte's before I can say that they have TONS of midrange, but it's not near as smooth as the RF7's... ---------------- WOW...... All of those speakers rock - but none have been able to match the sonic clarity and imaging of the RF7's IMO.. ---------------- It's JUST YOU........
  15. Godspeed to those who were taken by these animals. May those that are injured recover. We as Americans feel your pain. Roy
  16. Joe, Any news????? To bad he is not in NE WI, a visit in the patrol car would be in order. Roy
  17. Bob did a pair of AA for my khorns, work great. Honest guy easy to deal with. I have DeanG nets in my scallas also a great product and good guy to work with. Roy
  18. Hey Joe, I also had something like this happen. In the end the guy was aken into custody, given the either refund or have theft by deception filed. Several months later from a pay phone i called the gas company, electric company, phone and cable asking that my (his) services be disconnected as i had sold the house and moving. The termination date i requested was the friday before Labor day. NO ELECT ect till Tuesday. Hope the jag off had a freezer full of meat. Petty and not becoming a officer, but sure made me feel a hell of a lot better. Roy

This seller has sold some real nice corns in the past 6 months also. Roy
  20. I will have to admit. She's the only thing from FRANCE that I have found interesting in quite some time.

James Bongiorno is probably the most anti-HT hi-fi designer out there. His trinaural circuit is ALL ANALOG. Before you mouth off, do your homework. I was never saying that a summed channel does not work, just there are now more sophisticated approaches ... read the original like I posted above. There is life beyond Hope. ---------------- What are you trying to say? That "Dope From Hope " is wrong, somehow less advanced than Bongiorno? You are on a KLIPSCH ownned site and have the bad manners to inmply that the DFH is somehow less......? Makes me wish I hasd the BS button artwork to post. I stand by my comments. The fact is that the afore mentioned DFH is as I stated. That is what I know. That is why I referenced the sorce. You on the other hand chose to dull out opinion as if it were fact. As far as doing MY homework I have trired both of the process's mentioned. I find that the DFH design works best for Khorns with a scalla center (that is what i run) in my room. YOU my wish to list a system in your profile, that way maybe us dullards can grasp where your experience is comming from.

Let's put it this way, there are purists who have moved on to more sophisticated approaches than just a summed channel. I can see the logic with Klipschorns, that are wide apart in a room, to avoid a hole in the middle effect. ---------------- HOG WASH........ Read Dope from Hope vol 15, no. 6 760061 and YOU will have the blueprint for a supurb 3 channel stereo. There are many of us here that run such a system. And I can not imagine returning to a 2 speaker system. No, most of us DO NOT use the gadetry of todays ht set ups, rateher prefer the "bridged" center. I third the motion to do a search of the topic. You will find much here on the subject.
  24. Who else will be checking it out. there are number of performances that should be interesting....
