  1. Well I guess for me it started as a kid. Really never had been around anything else. Dad had short horns until 77 when he bought new khorns, 2 uncles had korns, dads pals had scallas. There was a dealer in Villa Park, Il called Hifi Hucth. Walked in there 05,30,1982. walked out with Corns, nak dragon tape deck, denon TT with dp 103 cart, denon int amp...... thought that i had gone to hifi heaven. Hauled all this back to my studio apt, which was a stero syst, and a california king water bed. AHHHHHHHH the simpler days. So it was only right for me to continue the chain. Now had dads horns, scallas, kg 3.5, kg 2.5, rsw 15 x 2, promedia. And if car adio was offered wold switch from my Oz Audio.
  2. weeeelllll...... As far as current vixens go. Gwen is a hot little thing... even though I am a old fart now.....lol She could holler for me anytime.
  3. we have Roadrunner and love it. The speed (can watch movies as you down load them). It is always on, just click IE icon on desktop (no waiting to connect). And we pay $30.00 per month. It is one of the few things we send payment out each month for, that we don't mind.

Ah, as you have obviously not read not understood anything regarding EW or MCACC, you can't EQ non-minimum phase signals, and per Pioneer, they attempt to do so by analyzing the reverberant field in a small room! And the response being "ignore what Pioneer writes and trust that the 'scientists' are doing incredible magical things in the back room", isn't quite sufficient! Oh, and per a little agency called the US Secret Service, a situation that cannot be resolved in 3 rounds is OUT OF CONTROL! >1000 rounds! Yep, the problem is that you don't have sufficient semi-auto weaponry! And I don't recall having you called in when we were addressing the CSX railway incident 1.5 years ago either! But I guess you don't know what I am talking about! But we're lucky to have someone doing dog rounds. ---------------- 1.5 years ago, you were not even a member of the forumthen......... Bable all you wish your colors show quite clearly....... Buy the way do you even own any Klipsh gear????????

I am just a proponent of doing things the old fashioned way I suppose, and not let a receiver judge how my system should sound in my room. ---------------- Just the MONTH.......... I installed several sets of double-stacked K-Horns and LaScala's in discos, way back when. We used to use 8 LaScala's on a side (16 total) with Crown amps to do PA work for bands at universities and concerts. We also had the first pair of MCM1900's. What a treat it was when Paul W. came to visit on many occasions. I guess the nut doesn't fall far from the tree. ---------------- When you say double stacked. Are you taliking bottom sitting on top, or top to top. Just wondering, never thought about it, but it's intersting. My wife my not be happy. lol

Do I believe that bernie could have played it a bit better, sure I would add that besides Tony George, the city of Indianapolis and race fans in general being innocent victims, the six drivers that DID have the courage to participate in the race were all victims as well...especially considering the jestures AND crap that the fans threw at them . . . pretty ironic since those six were the only real heros of the day. ---------------- Petrol, I was not there. But I would think that the fans were throwing junk onto the track, to show disapointment with the event. Not displeasure with those that decided to do there job.

That makes everything else seem rather small sounding. You have to be proud that he is a Klipsch fan. I am a second generatin fan, and yes, it was dads fault. Enjoy, Roy

And in 1976 and 1977 we had discussions with Paul, et. al., regarding sound reinforcement systems and he maintained that the aluminum horn was not signifcantly resonant either. Of course they were experimenting with fiberglass horns (which also rang for days!) then too! I suspect he knew all to well! Neither resonance nor diffraction were a secret. And there was significant dissention among the ranks over this issue! So let's keep the 'worship' within proper perspectives! ---------------- And let me guess, you are the guy to tell us what "Proper perspectives" is. Do even own khorns, or any of the heritage line? As someone who spends a great deal of time listening to them, I can tell you that the proper amount of "worship" is rarely displayed IMHO. You pontificate on subjects ranging from, law, room acoustics, politics, religion, and many more, now you want to police "the proper amount of worship". Here is a news flash for you. You are on a KLIPSCH owned site. There is bound to be a staggering amount of "worship" as you say. The PWK design and build makes me happy every day. Maybe I did not see that YOU were appointed the "worship" police.

Thanks for holding these Cornwalls for Rick 3dzapper, and now me. I plan on refurbishing/veneering them when I get into my Cornwall project and probably use for a separate 2 ch system. The living room is looking crowded, so the Cornwall theatre will probably be moved to the basement with the Coaster recliner 4-pack. I just got my old Yamaha HT receiver (prologic only) repaired, so it'll probably power these for the time being. If I ever sell anything, you'll be at top of the list, okay? Thanks again to everyone in the transportation department. Michael ---------------- Michael, I bought Mike Spaaz scallas. Going to use them in a cottage system. They had dean G networks, I am going to send them back to dean for a change, guess they were set up for real high spl levels? Roy
  21. I have the 1977 oiled walnut horns that my dad bought new in 1977. At the same time my uncle bought a pair of "D" decor horns. They were designed to be built into new listening rooms and remodels. He intergrated them into the corners, finished them (enclosed fronts ect)with dry wall. All you saw was grill cloth and trim for the tweeter/squaker and two slots of grill cloth for the bass opening. He sold the house 2 years ago, and the family that bought it, said the listening room (turned combo ht room) was a major reason they bought the home. Anyone doing a remod or new build these would be a great buy. Roy
