  1. Yeah, it's kinda far out. There can be a front that affects it that hasn't even formed yet. There's a lot of science to it, but anything farther than 5 days out is really anyones guess. My ears don't perk up till they hit the Gulf. They're interesting to track though. My area has been hit pretty good lately so I went back and looked at projected paths vs actual storm tracks for the ones that have hit here. It seems that the projected landfall isn't really very accurate outside of 36 hours. From 36 hours pre-landfall you can see the projected path and be fairly certain that you're seeing what's going to happen. Normally if my area is in the center of the "cone of death" when the storm is 5 days out, I can be pretty confident that it's not coming here.
  2. There's another "area of intrest" right behind Ana that will most likely end up larger than Ana.

  4. Welcome to the forum. Let's hear the story behind your username.
  5. So sorry to hear this news. My condolences. Carl
  6. I suppose it's possible, but would be receiver dependant. You'd have to check your owners manual to see if it has that feature. I'm sure it could be done in the receiver if the manufacturers firmware sets the receiver up to have that feature as an option. I've never looked for that option however.
  7. It just means I've spent a lot of money[]
  8. To have the surround effects come out of your L and R ft speakers, you would have to have a way to combine the surround channels with your LF and RF channels. You would most likely have to do it in the analog realm. Possibly use two 2 into 1 RCA's to combine the outputs and then feed the summed signal to an outboard amp and then to the speakers.
  9. The reason I asked was to see if there were any forum members close to you to help you with your audio calibration. If you were closer, I'd be happy to try to get your audio lined out.
  10. My cabinets had no damping as they were a rebuild from the ground up. I knew that I needed material on at least one of every two parallel surfaces to reduce standing waves inside the cabinets. I could have gotten by with less material inside the cabinet but covered all sides while I had it apart. The foam was recomended to me by an ex-Klipsch employee (Colterphoto) They sound great to my ears.
  11. I took allergy shots for 4 years. They really work. I was basically allergic to anything green. Grasses and trees were the worst. The difference in what I could tolerate before and after taking shots was miraculous.
  12. He called me on my cell phone a few weeks ago out of the clear blue. He said he wanted to be sure I was still happy with the Heresy cabinets he veneered for me. It doesn't seem he left the forum strictly from a "too busy" standpoint but he had nothing negative to say either. It was a strange call. He was going to build me a pair of riseres, but apparantly they're way on the back burner now. Don't read anything negative into this post please, I like the heck out of Groomie. Carl
  13. I hope that grill is not galvanized[+o(].
  14. I'm glad to see that someone is posting hurricane info since Groomie left the forum, Thanks. Carl
  15. Here's some pics of my H III kit. http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/109693.aspx?PageIndex=14
  16. Not a problem. He DID say he's using a cheater plug. I thought that the referenced thread might help him get rid of his cheater (for safety reasons), but we won't bring up THAT debate. Carl
  17. Actually, he's not suspended till game 6. The Commish has untill game 6 to determine his fate. To me it seems like a 6 game probation. In addition, the Commish can lift any and all restrictions before game 6 if he's so inclined. That's why so many teams are reluctant to pick him up, they really don't know the extent of his punishment with the league.
