  1. I like the sound of the Altec A-7's also. Moded 902B drivers on 511B horns, with 416A woofers. This current setup is all active 3-way. 300B Electra-Print amps on the 511's and SS on the mid-bas and subs.
  2. Hey Jordan, I never received anything from you. I checked my mail and PM's right up until the time I left. I even looked for your phone number from some previous conversations but could not find it. Yeah I went right through Atwater. I couldn't help but think you were so close by but oh so far away at the same time. LOL! Charlie
  3. No I was just giving a heads up to a member who may want these.
  4. I saw these looking around on Craigslist! Price seems right. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/ele/189981276.html
  5. I've been wanting cabs but you guys are so far away. Any west coast cabs around? Charlie
  6. I'd like to think between 1 and 2 but more like 2 and 3. I must say I laughed hard for minutes at this one. Thank you. Charlie
  7. It means your ready to spend more money. With DTV for example a HD box around 200 and HD programming for around an extra 10 bucks a month. I love HD though and almost cannot watch anything non-HD. When you get the 360 it should plug right in and be ready to go.
  8. What is the cutoff x-over point for the woofer in the Chorus. It's the K-48.
  9. Im not sure what happenend as it was not there the other day and now it is. I have replied. Thanks.
  10. Hello anyone there? I never heard anything on the screen. Bump!
  11. Yeah I spun my wall of records around 180 from the rear of the room to the front after adding the 3rd shelf wich was my goal all along. Sadly the Khorns are gone as well as the Cornwalls. You have a good memory. On the bright side I hope this summer like i said to start a custom project based on some altec 511b's and some sort of bass bins and it all will be bi-amped with tubes.[]
  12. LAST cleaning soulution. Great stuff. Also LAST #5 stylus cleaner.
  13. Looks good Michael. The reasons I like the IKEA are cost, strength, and the fact that every 13" or so there is a break. In other words there is not hundreds of records per shelve leaning on each other possibly wearing on the covers.
  14. Shawn, I am very interested in the screen maybe you can PM me or email a shipping quote to 93647? Thank you. Charlie
  15. Come on down Bob. Travis those are the Expidit. I was going to have them shipped but shipping was 200 bucks for 2 shelves. The shelves were 300 for 2 and I did not want to pay 200 to ship them. They are heavy. No bowing whatsoever. They are very strong. Charlie
  16. Anytime Jordan. Yes those are the big IKEA racks, and yes those are Chorus I's. Right now the are the only speakers in the room. I aquried a spare room 12x14 and all my extra and vintage gear and speakers went in there as well as a 1,500 more records a workbench for my electronics, and a spare computer. My listening room is really clean and more friendly with a nice couch instead of a single chair as well as some abstract paintings to color things up a bit.
  17. Are you kidding Greg? LOL! Michaels wall of Klipsch looks like a Van Halen concert setup. Minus all the hot groupies!
  18. Thanks, but I've seen some of the other peoples setups here and theres a lot of nice setups on the forum. But thanks. It is a fun place to retreat to and fire up the tubes and listen!
  19. Well I finally got most of my records in order this last weekend and part of this week. My gear is off to the left hand side now. I also put a couch in the room. I have been trying different placement with the sound panels also. The wall of records has made a natural diffusion wall it seems. I seem to have much more detail in the midrange area but had to turn up my sub levels. The room is sounding pretty damn good. Now I will concentrate on saving some money this summer to get started on a custom speaker project will include Altec 511b horns and either La Scala bass bins or Cornwalls. BTW. The wall of records is 6ft high and 20ft. wide.
  20. Damn Greg, I swore you had a TT finally, until I saw the no shipping! Charlie
