  1. I was out of town this weekend and sipped on some Jim Beam Black, Weller Special, and Town Branch Straight. When I got home I drank a little EH Taylor Small batch on some ice. There is no question that the EH Taylor is notably sweeter than the others.
  2. Conor McGregor is behind the Proper 12 Irish wiskey. Did yall see the video of him last week punching a guy for turning down his wiskey?
  3. Woodford pretty good. I found myself putting a lime wedge in it. A sin. Im down in Florida. One liquor store had one Town Branch straight bourbon on the shelf. Silver medal at North American wiskey competition. They didnt have the Malt version which won double gold. Still lookin.
  4. Is that old stock? Or u just found new released at store?
  5. I would agree that bourbons with advertised flavor such as "apple" is for occasional novelty I rarely drink them......no different than occasionally blueberry or blackberry local wines. I wouldnt say they suck.....but not something I look forward too after a stressful day at work. So Im gonna look into this cranky rye $hit and give it an honest try. Anyone found the 1910 Forrester yet. Should I try Whistlepig?
  6. Those flavored whiskeys with fruit are a novelty that do taste good....but get old quick too. The Jim Beam Apple taste good. I have some that I will hit on once in a blue moon. Got whiskey or bourbon laying around that nobody drinks? Make some cherry Bounce out of it. Google it.
  7. These? https://chattanoogawhiskey.com/1816-series/
  8. They are for sale in the garage section
  9. Need pic without the grill
  10. How weird. I read that article last night just before going to bed. The internet knows what you want to read.......scary.
  11. That $hit is rough around the edges...just like you🤣😁
  12. It does...not by a mile or anything. Not sure if I would like over Weller 12. Regardless.....great value. One cube of ice.....very good. Can taste the hint of caramel or butterscotch. Cant tell which one. EH Taylor....now chalked up as a fav. Jc
  13. O I've already tried Weller 12 year. It's very good is just hard to find. Anyone here ever tried Four roses small batch?
  14. Just picked up EH Taylor Small Batch and Weller Special. Will do a taste off. There is a list at the store for Weller 12. Once there is enough folks on the list....they will order.
  15. The single Malt Scotch used to be my go to. I was the 12 or 18 year Glenlivet or Glenfiddich all the time. For some reason, I didn't care for the 15 years. Macallan I didn't like as much for some reason. The Balvenie 12 is great but gets me in trouble. Back to Bourbons.....the Bulleit line is not to my liking but multiple of my family members are a fan. My wife and I are Beam fans. My Mom and Step Dad always drink Makers Mark or Makers 46. My Dad and brother in law always drink Blended Scotches....which I only drink if I had too.
  16. My God fellas. How in the hell are you able to hold onto this stuff. After frustrating weeks at work,..... come friday night.......those bottles would be callin' my name. Only ones that last here are the ones I don't particularly care for but save them for guests that may like them. If I like or love them....THEY WILL BE GONE!
  17. Here is a good start for Bourbon/Whiskey bucket list.... http://www.whiskeycomp.com/assets/nabw_2019_awards_medal.pdf
  18. Nice stash My wife drinks Jim Beam and Jim Beam only. Their Black Extra Aged is the best bang for the buck.... I drank the single Barrel last night.... quite good. I'm a fan of the Weller Bourbons. Hard to find around here....... They are pricey. They don't get talked about much. I was at a rich guys house and we were talking deals and took me down to his bar that was loaded with all the expensive bourbons. The Wellers were my fav. https://www.maxliquor.com/category-s/1962.htm?msclkid=e08cc05c8d591dd84a9f9d3d32e57f63
  19. Sorry, I was out of town. I will keep this brief. I had all the JMA products. Version 1 and 2s. The Super Merlin was great. I would say that preamp was quiet but not near as quiet in the background as the Encore. The JMA has a nice midbass and palpable sound that was very appealing. Never harsh and drove the bass very well. What it didn't have that the Encore has, is my descriptions above....3D, Spatial, etc.....that does something that makes you love the music. I won't go more into details really. It is different than the JMA sound. jc
