  1. Welcome to the forum. That is a very NICE system, I dont know if it classifies as a "starter" sytem though. Hopefully somebody will chime-in regarding your set-up questions since I am not too familiar with setting up the KA1000 and KW-120. I'm sure you will be grinning ear to ear once everything is set and calibrated.[]
  2. Have you ever seen a sign that you thought was rather odd? Well post them here. On a recent trip down to Knoxville, my girl and I was walking along a boardwalk and spotted this. Read all the fine points and you will see what I'm talking about.
  3. I have a hard time believing that the RSX-5 will be enough in a RF83 based system.
  4. Gee... I never felt like a loose woman So many variations could be made of this statement but I will let it slide. Amy probably wouldnt approve. [6]
  5. Talk with your dealer. Try these guys and see if the software is included. http://www.surfremotecontrol.com/
  6. 80hz is a good starting block, but what speakers do you have?
  7. Played hookie one day and went to see the wife while she was in court. A young man (defendant) steps up and the state presents their case of drug possession and intent to distribute. The defendant pleads guilty to a lesser charge (plea deal by state due to defendant having no priors). The judge asks the young man if he knew about or had been offered first offender....... Here in Georgia, first offender basically means that if you stay clean (i.e. don't get caught doing ANYTHING wrong) for 5 years there will be no felony record and you do no jail time. That's the upside. The downside is that the police have the right to search/stop you at any time, day or night, without any warning during that 5 year period. Plus the usual check in requirements with your probabtion officer. Any violations during the 5 year period means that you automatically go to jail at the maximum sentence prescibed by law for the offense with no allowance for time already served on probabtion. Defendant: "Yes yer Honor, I know about first offender and yes sir, they (the state) offered it to me." Judge: "So would you like to accept it?" Defendant: "No sir." Judge: "No? Really?? May I ask why?" Defendant: "Well yer honor, anybody can get into trouble in 5 years. I mean, it's hard sometimes to not do something stupid. I bet everyone here in this courtroom, no offense yer Honor, probably does something wrong at least once a year and I ain't much different except I'm more apt to get caught." Judge: "Well, at least he's honest." Tom I have heard it is similar here in KY. Maybe 5 yrs after probation ends. No bail bondsman either. Almost any drug charge requires drug testing or drug court for duration of probation. Testing is done on a phase system. Phase 3 tests 3x a week, Phase2 2x, and Phase1 once a week. You never know what day you are going to have to test. You call each day and see what phase is testing that day. Any violation and you spend time behind bars. The judges do not play around with that.
  8. Well you know how these lists are. Many people think that Dark Knight was over the top.
  9. Maybe this guy should just hire the lawyer that represented NFL player Donte Stallworth. For those that have not followed the story, this is the player that was DUI and killed a pedestrian. He was given 30 days in jail, which is really 24 with time served, 1000 hours community service, and 10 YEARS probation. I guess at first glance the 30 days really sticks out. Upon further reasoning, the 10 years of probation is probably what will get this character in trouble. People rarely think of the ramifications of these "plea" deals because their whole purpose is to avoid jail time. Most likely with the probation will come drug testing in some form. These are generally set up to get the "perp" to violate the terms of probation and generate cash flow for the city. I think this is where he will see more jail time, on a probation violation. Think good and long before agreeing to a "plea".
  10. Here is another one of those subjective lists. I have not seen a couple of these movies but may have to check them out and see what the hype is all about. http://tech.msn.com/products/slideshowspecialsav.aspx?cp-documentid=19911797
  11. I have a URC MX-900 with the MRF-350 and love it. It was nice to put away the 5 or 6 remotes and just use the 1. URC does not release the software to the consumer so be sure and find a GOOD programmer. Some people have had luck getting their dealer to release the software to them, but be aware it does not come with the remote. This is true for the professional line and I am not sure about the consumer line. For a nice review see the link below. http://www.remotecentral.com/mx900/index.html
  12. If a police officer stops a speeder and notices that he's "completely trashed", how and why would he ignore that? Freedom of movement is a great right, but if a person puts himself and others at great risk in the course of exercising that right, he should no longer use that means of movement and instead take a bus or taxi, where he's less of a danger to himself and others. Thursday night he was coming home from a downtown at 1:00 in the morning and was stopped for speeding. Blew a .013 on the breathalizer. Completely trashed. As well, at that time of night, there are lots of people trying to make it home from bars in varying states of drunkenness and the police are likely looking for any signs of impairment. This guy was speeding. We don't know if that was the only thing about his driving that drew the officer's attention. As someone pointed out already the number is probably .13 because you are not trashed at a .013. By way of reference the "legal" limt is .08 in every state now. A .013 is a blip on the radar. Even if the number is .13 it does not mean he was "trashed." There is probably a video of him doing the field soberity tests so that is going to be one way to know. The number from the Intoxilyzer means NOTHING. It is a machine, purchased by the govt. One of the questions I ask of potential juror's is finish this sentence: If theGovt. bought it, it has to be "blank", now fill in the blank. It is not specific for alcohol (think about that for a minute), it's has technology less advanced then your microwave (eprom chip), having a fever, or naturaly high body temprature will cause it to read high, chewing on white bread and blowing into it, without any alcohol in your system will cause it to read positive for alcohol, if you are a painter you should never blow because you are going to read positive all day every day, etc., etc. etc. Don't ever take a number the Govt gives you and assume it is accurate. Travis Which is probably one of the worst defenses to go on IMO. Any good prosecutor will come to the table with necessary documentation ie maintenance, and validation records to disprove faulty equipment. I am sure this angle is tested at every trial and would assume is mostly debunked.
  13. How about "Guys who are really obsessed with their Klipsch audio products and get together in this one spot 10-15 times a day to discuss it".[]
  14. How many totties had been consumed prior to this pic? LOL
  15. I took a look at the Standout Designs website, nice products, and got a better idea of what your looking at. Based on that, my pic wouldnt have help you anyway. That is a bummer when you find something you want and then find out the dimensions are off a1/4 inch.
  16. [*-)] Pic didnt load.
  17. Something like this?
  18. With my profession, field service medical, drinking is a big no no for fear of the DWI. I hope this guy learns his lesson. I could not imagine what I would do if in his shoes.
  19. Small. The RC62 only digs down to around ~60hz.
  20. Yes I was fine with groupies as well. Maybe there are too many "sensitive" easily offended on here. I dont think it really reflects on you as a person whatever Klipsch decides to call it.
  21. Not in yours, but some others have. If there are odd things in photos, JB will find them and point them out. Including a half naked man if my memory serves me right.[]
  22. One of my favs is 98.9 The Rock out of Kansas City. http://www.989therock.com/
  23. I got Chickenfoot also and like the album. To me the recording was not very good quality. Yep also picked up the Chickenfoot CD yesterday. On initial listen I downloaded the CD to my vehicle audio system( I have a Chrysler 300 that has a 30GB HDD) and on playback the system did not display artist name or track name like all the other CD's I have downloaded. It just listed it as a generic MP3 download. I think there have definately been corners cut to produce this CD. I have not had a chance to listen to it on the home system yet. All in all I thought the songs were pretty good. Not talking of audio qaulity here. Chad Smith-drummer is definately overlooked in this group, I thought he was pretty tight.
