  1. The RC62 is made with a threaded hole in the front and the rear to facilitate uptilt and downtilt. Yes, remove the adjustment bolt in the rear and put it in the front hole to tilt the speaker up. You said that there was putty in one of the holes, so hopefully the previous owner didnt putty the wrong hole. As far as the matching issue, I think it will be fine. The reciever will level match your speakers when you do the auto setup with the Denon mic. Most people go for bigger centers, since so much movie information is in the center channel. I am running a RC7 with my RF3's. If you have already heard the RC62 and then downgraded to the RC52, I think you would regret the decision.
  2. Facebook isnt the only thing that "polls" our whereabouts and contacts. Recently I have been searching online for cutlery (J.A. Henckels, Wustoff) and now everytime I go to a site like Yahoo, I see a Henckels or Wustoff banner ad. I do not use Yahoo search engine. Prior to my search I never saw these particular banner ads. It is just like the movie Eagle Eye.
  3. I am in need of a new computer and have been eyeing the Toshiba A505-S6965 laptop. Is this a good model?
  4. If Vick was smart he would have tried to land with one of the upstart UFL teams. True he cant play a down in the NFL until after week 6, the UFL would have been a platform for him to showcase any talent he still has left to a potential NFL team. I believe that deadline has passed though. Now I dont think he even gets a tryout with a NFL team. No owner wants the backlash, and no GM/coach wants to waste a roster spot on a mediocre QB who has not played in 2 years. Face it, he was not that great of a QB when he played. I think it was Harry Carson on Sirius NFL, that said he was tired of hearing all these retired NFL players "sports reporters" saying that they thought Vick could still play and be productive in the NFL. He said they were all full of BS.
  5. What type of music are you listening to? For 2 channel, I think the bass sounds best playing rock or country. If I try to listen to any of the rap or hip-hop material, I find that I like it better with a sub as the bass is thin. Of course I noticed better bass when I stepped up to a higher reciever.

    103" PLASMA

The picture doesnt do this behemoth justice. Should have had about 10 people stand in front of it[]
  7. What area are you from? Do you already have your eye on a used RF3 set? I have been toying with the idea of unloading mine, but really do not want to ship. I have the RC7 instead of the RC3. I believe the RF3 is closer to the RF82 than the RF62. Both the RF3 and RF82 utilize 8" woofers, are 98db efficient. If you buy new and go for the RF62, you should look into getting the RC62 instead of the RC52. It is the matching center for the mains, and you dont want to skimp on the center channel when it comes to movies. As much as 60% of a movie is through the center channel.
  8. Is it humming through the system (subs) or can you hear a hum coming from inside the amp casing?
  9. I have a feeling that in another 2 months tops, his reinstatement to the league will mean nothing. He has been out of the league and out of any type of football for 2 years. I dont see him catching on with a team outside of training camps. Then he will become Canada's issue.[]
  10. Good call on Ray Lewis, I totally forgot about that one.
  11. Since when did the NFL become so high and mighty? If they truely want to employ a one strike rule, then I find it hard to believe they would even have enough players to field ONE roster, let alone 32. Everyday there are news reports about a player who has either shot himself, killed a ped.- DUI, police responding to domestic violence call, drugs, making it rain on da hoes, and the list goes on and on. To me none of which is any worse than a Vick crime. All these rejects for the most part are still playing in the NFL, so why shouldnt Vick? Roger Goodell can try to "clean" up the image all he wants, but unless he actually makes these people realize that playing a sport for a living is essentially a privilige, nothing will change. The NFL is always termed the, No Fun League-seems like the players are having all sorts of fun (legally). Oh yeah, in before the lock.[]
  12. Yep, wife must have approved. I see she already has them decorated. See women just put on a good show about objecting to our hobby and "look how big those are" speeches because they know its just something else for them to decorate[]
  13. There is a Chris Botti concert on HDNet Aug2nd @ 11:20pm. It may even be the one Colin recommded above if anyone is interested.
  14. After seeing the Sim's BBQ thread and those awesome lookin ribs, I figured today was a good day to throw on some ribs of my own. I have about another hour of cook time left and I must say they are looking and smelling GREAT. This is long overdue[]
  15. The factory in Hope had the parts to build them, so they did. We are going to offer them at klipsch.com only, for a limited time. Think of it like the Heritage line. In fact, we almost called these "Heritage RF," but thought since PWK didn't have a hand in their development directly that it would be inappropriate. Hope that helps! Amy, is this in any way a move to deplete stock on the drivers? Just curious since my speakers use both the K-1083-SB8" and K-67-DV1.75". I know I am probably just being paranoid[:|].
  16. Winchester, from some of your recent posts, you sure know how to draw out the "seedy" folks.[] TSA, ebay scammers etc.

    New system

The following are the speakers that Klipsch recommends. The sub isnt as critical when it comes to matching components. Many feel there are better subs available for the money. YMMV. Welcome to the forum, we are here to help (you spend money)[] http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/rf-82-home-theater-system-overview/
  18. I guess you can do that when you reopen threads that are 3 months old and older. Somebody needs to find a friend.[]
  19. Simplicity Artistry Music is their tagline. Since I have never heard any of their gear, I can honestly say that 1/3 of the phrase is true. Simplicity.
  20. Maybe the owner is former NFL receiver Andre Rison. Years ago when he was a receiver with the Kansas City Chiefs, he was brought up on charges of floating a bad check to pay for DJ equipment.[]
  21. Interesting, good sound. I just wonder where the Wrastling match is and who their Wrastling after the show. Nothing better than a good Luchadore sp? match[]
  22. If you want to go that route, I think I would just get the UPA-7 for only $100 more. It is 125 TRUE Watts x7, which I am sure would be more than enough with the RF82 especially in room your size. With the 7 channel, you would hook up all 5 speakers to it and have room for 7.1 in the future. I have never heard the Emotiva's, but a few people here have them and say they are good amps. EDIT You posted right before me, but the UPA-7 I listed does not have XLR's. If the Fathom has its own amp, than no you would not connect it to the Emotiva amp.
  23. You would not be able to use your current Yamaha with an external amp since the Yamaha does not have Preouts.
