  1. I used to be able to eat what I wanted and drink alcoholic beverages like I wanted, ok I would get hangovers if I drank too much but weight was never a real issue. If I put extra weight on I could easly loose by increasing exerise for a few weeks. Those weeks are now months and many months at that. Good health/weight is clearly a lifestyle thing IMO, sure genetics play a part but the skinny gene is clearly few and far between among the average American judging the stats and I know of no way to control them (your genes that is). Exercise and as you get older you need to watch your diet more, but if you exercise you can still enjoy yourself once and a while.
  2. Sorry, specifically like the track 'Things That I used to Do'
  3. That is a blast from the past. They were big in say 1990 - 2?

    Daredevil

You should change the thread name, cause the move the Daredevil really sucked. Saw it on a plane, so I was a captive audience and it was horrible. Jennifer G. is attractive however.
  5. "It's Terry Jones, not Terry Gilliam." That is what I thought, he was not exactly looking fit.
  6. "sorry jackson, but the dogs gotta be outta da house . . . .they just ain't even cute . .. . ya don't wanna your friends to know youz is sleeping with them dawgs ... . .its gotta go, dude" I can understand that you dont think they are good looking. It took me a while too be converted. I grew up with Golden Retrievers and various muts, never really looked at pugs. It was when I was visiting my sister and brother in law out in Irvine, that I was introduced to pugs. They rescued a 3-year old male named Max from the pound and he just took to me. They are not twitty dogs the way many small dogs are, they act like full sized dogs. I prefer to say they are 50 lbs of sh!t in a 25 lbs bag. My biggest objection is not the snoring, but the crimp they put on sex life.
  7. "what are pugs? I thought it was a typo, but you kept saying that...you're not saying that pigs sleep with you are you?" Yes they are a bread of dog. Enclosed is a picture, the first post contains a picture of the leading offender.
  8. How does it sound with the putty applied?
  9. I knew it from was Monthy Python, think the Blackmail sketch, but I thought it was Terry Jones on the piano bench not Terry Gilliam.
  10. We own two pugs, which usually sleep in our bedroom at night. Well my wife has allowed them at also sleep in our bed, besides not being good for our sex life, one pug in particular snores life an electric saw. She does not start out that way, no I was being awakened around 3am (the time when many of you are still posting) with this little pug lying on her back with her face about 1 inch from my ear. Well I started wearing earplugs at night to block out the little devil, other than her there is very little ambient noise other than birds or crickets at night, if the windows are open. I have found that the wax ones are the best for me and if you get a good seal you really can only hear your heartbeat and breathing before you nod off. On the weekdays when I awake and take the earplugs out, I usually am bombarded by my wifes blow dryer, which is unbearably loud and irritating from the master bath. I put them back in until she is done, but it got me thinking. Anyway on the weekends my usual morning routine now is to leave the ear plugs in, go out and get the paper off the drive way and goes down stairs sit down and listen to a favorite CD, removing the ear plugs just before hand of course. I notice I usually listen to songs at a lower volume than normal, every thing seems louder, which again your ear typically perceives as better sounding. Classical, jazz or blues are the typical choices at the hour. Usually I find it to be very effective and it seems like I notice every detail of a recording. I find it a very effective way to really listen to my system and very often I will find myself putting the paper down and shutting my eyes. Anyway as they usually say with tweaks, its all in your head and this one is for sure and unlike many its also very cheap, but temporary. I have no idea how long you would need to wear them to get the same effect during the day or for that matter if it would work for you. Just thought I would share.
  11. That is just crazy. I am going back down to the poop deck.
  12. If you build new cabinets be sure to make sure the finish is water resistant. A nice polyurethane finish and use clear shield by min wax.
  13. "who's nancy sinatra?" Ask your parents, she is a milf.
  14. Did you just talk to him in the past 30 minutes from your first post? (between 9:50 and 10:25) Sounds like a room issue for sure, but a lisp? He would have to have a nice echo in there as well, but again perhaps you already knew that since your first post not sure. The RF7s do not impart a lisp in my room anyway. Good luck May be a studder now and then
  15. caz1604 Sweet pictures, very nice set up. What sub are you using? Does the tile make the sound a bit bright. Nice posting.
  16. "haha. I don't know if it's true or not, but just reading that made me crack up. Comon coal plants make smokey sound, nuclear plants make clean sound? I just love what some people say sometimes. Next thing i hear, hydro power makes things sound dense while wind power gives you nice airy highs, and solar power? lol.. -Joe"
  17. I agree. She is proof just because your father is a talented singer does not mean you are, but I guess it does mean you can worked with very talented people and make records. I have many ideas where she can stick her walking boots.
  18. I find that coal burning power generation plants impart a warm laid back smoky sound, while the nuclear power generation plants really convey a more lean sound with clean crisp highs.
  19. This thread is a good read. http://forums.klipsch.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=56139&forumID=68&catID=19&search=1&searchstring=&sessionID={FE8D2A6D-6DF8-47FD-A40E-2B5105DA10BD}

Anybody else see that post?---------------- Don't mean to hijack a thread, but how would the electronics get configured for that? The wiring? Are there pres out there that can put out 3 outs of the same source? I went back and found it, the users name is Kevin97255, he uses 3 pairs of RF7s across the front. Again this is not my system. I reposted the picture he did of his system (sorry I hope you dont mind, just think its very unusual). Would love to hear how it sounds. I would have no idea what problems/advantages it would have.
  21. "I would imagine for not acting with due diligence in insuring the identity of the perpetraitor?" Would agree, but have you heard of a major company actually reimbursing a client whose identity was stolen. Think its hard to prove 100% that the perp, who may never be caught, got the info from the negligent company. At least I have not read about anybody suing and recovering for such a case. Even then can you imagine any one of the 3 major credit scoring agencies actually adjusting the victims credit rating back to what it was as part of the settlement? Knock on wood, I dont have personal experience with this type of fraud, but a close business friend went through he!! and it took him years to clean it up, his credit rating is still no near where it was before and they actually caught the person in his case.
