Not if it was done well, i.e. no voids or loose bits to rattle around. I've considered doing this myself. What speakers in what finish do you have? fini p.s. You'll get more responses by posting this question in the 2 ch. forum. Lot's of folks have dried up and turned to dust here waiting for an answer.

The Monarchy Audio SM-70 and the Longest post known to man...
fini replied to mobile homeless's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Alan, you provided a link to a Perkins/Lewis LP. When I clicked on it, I was actually expecting to see this album: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000002ZD7/qid=1013871691/sr=1-13/ref=sr_1_13/102-3717078-9327347 Do you have it, too? fini p.s. It's a fun album. This message has been edited by fini on 02-16-2002 at 10:06 AM -

Howdy do Voodoo! Your best bet for getting an answer to your question would be to post it in the Promedia forum, found further down on the main bulletin board page. fini This message has been edited by fini on 02-12-2002 at 04:59 PM

As you can tell from the grain pattern, the Khorn Mr Klipsch is standing next to is the center speaker of a custom monogramed 3-piece set. fini

Some here may enjoy this, found this morning while poking around the web: http://www.kaleidos.it/used_sound/gold_sound/klipsch.htm Good shot of PWK in a cowboy hat, plus more! Ciao! fini

Tom-I like it! Borrowing again from images already out there on America's vehicles, how about using that little Calvin guy, who's ususually portrayed as Ford, uh, "washing" Chevy or vice versa. You get the idea. fini (clarification: I'm refering to the auto makers Ford and Chevy, not former president Gerald and comedian Mr. Chase, although that would be funny, too, I suppose.)

#9: Socially unacceptable to watch movie nude. #10: Eating popcorn that falls on floor definitely unsanitary. fini

dampening horns with dynamat instead of rope caulk
fini replied to STL's topic in Technical/Restorations
Just be sure you're careful about the style of music you play: Rock, jazz, classical, r&b, funk, rap, disco, latin, all o.k. No pop, though. fini -
Yep-she's a wringer! -Petered-out

Ed- Wonderful to hear about your connections to So. Co. I'm born and raised here (46 y.o.). Mom walked across that span that connects you 'n' I on opening day! Mom lives on King Road in Petaluma, probably a stone's throw from your family farm. I won't try throwing the rock, though... don't wanna chance breakin' an egg... Heck, my buddy Clipped and Shorn owns an old chicken ranch in Penngrove! The chickens are long-gone, but maybe his impending "sexy" tube gear purchase might lure a few back! fini

I, for one, have had the highest respect for washing machines ever since I was about 5 or 6. I was spending time with Grandma, probably bored, and bugging her. She handed me a little peep toy thingie- a tiny plastic telescoping tube you look into to see a slide of, say, Yosemite Falls or Yosemite Sam. Well, that's what Grandma thought was the subject matter, when, in fact, it contained the classic "***-in-a-Wringer" shot (probably purchased by Grandpa from an ad in the back of a "nudie" magazine). Still got it, and that image is burned into my memory deeper than almost any other. Heart-warming family tale, eh? Good night, John-Boy... fini

Clipped- Sorry about the sit-in stuff. Seb said you're not set on the SET set-up. Seriously? Seems a shame. Yours Truly (OOPS, Sincerely), fini (Just trying to shepherd the sibilance for a moonlight Cornwall test) This message has been edited by fini on 02-09-2002 at 06:48 PM

Ed, let me know next time you're up here in Sonoma County. I'll take you over to Bataeff Salvage, where we can find some really fun stuff out of which to make really fun stuff! Have you been over to Ikea? I doubt they carry anything that would serve the same purpose as your speaker stands. Lots of Euro-style cabinetry, though. Not much in Medieval Euro, I'm afraid... Take care, fini

Uh, Ed, I don't think old speedbump had anything to do with Jim Cornell's baby. That is unless you've got some more info... fini

One thing I love about Zin is that (generally speaking) it's ready now, baby! fruity, alive, ready, fini

mdeneen- Right in our own backyards! You can get her wines at The Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa, and at Oliver's in Cotati. Here's a link: http://carolshelton.com/ For an extremely good deal, see if the Bottle Barn (or anywhere else) has some 1999 Mont Pellier California Syrah. Clipped & Shorn and I have, independently, discovered this bargain for between $4 and $6 per bottle. YUM! Limerick Lane is awesome. I think Gary Farrell might still be the winemaker there...not sure. His own label is great, though. fini (literally) CHEERS

Is that a bulging pocketbook in your shorts, or are you just not happy with your Dynaco ST-70? fini

Jim, In my spare time, I've come up with a mod to convert one of your dozen-or-so Cornwalls into a bassinette. It involves wrapping the baby in rope caulk, though...so back to the drawing board!! Give your wife our best! Congats, buddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fini

Geeze, Kelly, I'm gonna have to pop the cork at noon (Pacific) to keep up. fini P.S. Ever tried the Carol Shelton? If you're a fan of zin, it rivals A. Raffanelli, Nalle and Pezzi King. Good stuff, all, and no special wires needed!!
-
Hmm... We usually don't see this level of sarcasm until, at least, the first bottle of cab... fini Make mine a Carol Shelton Zin, please...
