  1. nope they are still for sale...not mine but ... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/633935175785691/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A87abe867-228e-45eb-8611-07fff356b282 Bill
  2. would adding a subwoofer change anyone's thoughts on which speaker might be best cost notwithstanding...RB-5s/RC-3 or Hersey lls/KLF-C7 with Crites crossovers and titanium tweeter mods???... thanks for any experience or thoughts you'd care to share... Bill
  3. strange to still be dealing with this issue 12 years later but it appears the lightning strike had nothing to do with my units issue and it is a common issue with Cambridge Audio Azure 640C V2 players...some fixes found online but I have zero soldering skills so mine remains Toslink or Coax connected... Bill
  4. I was hoping you’d chime in…thanks, Bill
  5. for a smaller Home Theater, L-R-C with no sub...any benefit for going from RB-5s and an RC-3 to Heresy lls and a KLF-C7???...the Heresy lls have Bob Crites updated crossovers and titanium tweeter mods... any thoughts or experience you care to share would be appreciated... Bill
  6. Now it's gone/sold 386 views but zero interest…it seems the tide has turned…
  7. nope...still for sale...musta been someone else's Academy that got Gone/Sold... Bill
  8. I see he's dropped the price to $250...surprised it's still for sale...Academy must not be as popular as they were and certainly not one with a Popbumper'd crossover... Bill
  9. ...he's only asking $275 for a very nice Academy center and the Chris Munson/popbumper'd crossover was $350 by itself...truly takes a popular center for Heritage speakers to a new level... just thought I'd ad the additional information for those interested... Bill
  10. your posts back then along with Chris' were the reason I had the K-Stack originally installed...thanks Frzn Bill
  11. disclosure...my brother is selling this...Woodridge, Illinois area possibly the best option for a center channel speaker for quartets, Forte' 2, Chorus 2, and many other Heritage and extended Heritage speakers taken to the next level with Chris Munson's "popbumper" crossover replacement... Bill
  12. Heresy-Birch Raw...they were unfinished Baltic birch plywood and possibly finished/stained by an owner...as said above, the Y denotes 1983 for that model...enjoy and please share some photos when you get a chance... Bill
  13. in my smaller 3.1 "home theater" I am using RB-5s as mains, an RC-3 for the Center (it works just fine although the RC-7 would be the favorite from what members here say) and an Outlaw Audio M8 subwoofer...works just fine powered by a Panasonic SA-XR57 digital receiver... Good luck with your Dad's RB-5s...although I prefer Klipsch heritage, the RB-5s are almost the best bookshelf speaker ever made by Klipsch (RB-75 is the fan favorite) Bill
  14. God Bless Rebecca, God Bless you Craig and God Bless Dean and The Dude... Keeping you in my prayers, Bill
  15. sorry...yes and thanks, BLO is boiled linseed oil...I made corrections above for future searchers...😎👍 Bill
