I agree with that. However, after several preamps over the last couple of years......I have gone back to using a Denon 3805 as a pre-pro. To use the Denon by iself for two-channel listening.......fatiguing, stale and edgy sounding to my ears. Using the Denon as a preamp with seperate power amps.......the Denon is very clean, even high-end sounding. The same criticisms apply.....good recordings like music dvd's, concerts and certain cd's sound flawless. Bad recordings sound bad.....really bad.

I like good music.

Are those the same ones that make you loose weight, live longer and generally just live a better life? .......I've heard about those cables. [:^)]

If I recall correctly....that unit is supposed to be awesome for two-channel muisic. $1600 is way too much.

I have yet again re-installed my Denon 3805 to be used as a pre-pro for movies and two-channel listening. [] For two-channel listening, the manually adjustable eq is a must for me. Do any of the other Denon models have this feature? Does anyone else use the eq?

Cambridge Audio makes very good cd-dvd players.......that can be found resonably priced on the used market. I've seen some on Audiogon recently.....very good deals.[]

Kentron, What are you powering the RF-7's with? RF-7's are possibly the only Klipsch speaker that require more power to bring them to their full potential......despite their efficiency. A minimum of 300wpc might change your mind.
