  1. I have a bass knob on my reciever..... I dont need a tube amp for that. I saved thousands of dollars.
  2. Amy, the apple store deleted thier user comments, but guess what! The first new comment was him again! 1/5 stars "Bose is way better and they are cheaper then these speakers" You know its the same guy because he cant spell or use correct grammar. It should be "than" not "then" lol
  3. http://www.magnoliahifi.com/stores/MagnoliaHT/default.asp I have been in a few bestbuys with the Magnolia sub-section, and its just like a pro audio store with glass doors seperating it from the best buy zoo, inside they have wall carpet and all. Klipsch should get their reference stuff in on this being that Bestbuy carries klipsch and Magnolia does not, this may be an opportunity.
  4. How fast can air leak in? Because if you take a sealed speaker to a higher altitude, you may have a problem for a while?
  5. No Aragon? I'm surprised! Where is the loyalty?
  6. Are you sure? I think you should get a SPL meter before throwing another 1000 or two. Perhaps all you need is an EQ.

But its semi-annoying if you are using the same PC because you have to login and out each time you switch accounts. You could solve this problem by using 2 different browsers.
  8. Gives you some appreciation for how far just a few watts can really go with proper room gain. .
  9. Typical room response, it happens to every sub, and its more noticeable with very powerful subwoofers. Youll have to play around to get the best response you like, also Each FQ is going to have a different location where it sounds best at, so the idea is to get the bulk FQ's peaking at listening position. Im a programmer and I am considering making a 3D editor that you can place walls and furniture, assign material properties and then place any number of subwoofers to see where the best responses would be. I have done some 3D collision stuff in real time, Im pretty knowledgeable with physics its just a matter of time and energy. School is hard to keep up with alone. But if there is NOT a program like I described, I may start developing one! Give me some incentive guys.. or not.

  11. to divert buyers away from other brands! apple.com -> store you can tell they work for bose because of the 3rd grade grammar skills. But i have to admit, this was the first time I have heard someone say that the SoundDock was "only 300" dollars haha

honestly, 720 sucks, but 1080 is amazing! its like a PC screen. ESPN does 1080 and its worth watching thoes game in hidef
  13. word to the wise, do not post klipsch ebay pages on the klipsch boards if you want to bid on em.
  14. haha or that virgin marry grilled cheese that went for 25k or something liek that
  15. Tubes vs Solid State is analigous to Gemeinschaft vs. Gesellschaft There is nothing a fine digital amp cant do that a tube can including distorting the sound to make it feel warmif thats what you really want. Let the flames begin.
  16. I would like to see the kw-120's againts a pair of pb12-ultra's that would be an interesting matchup.

Now that THX I have never demoed and might be one heck of a sub, but I imagine it is very expensive and thats why I suggested the SVS because for the money I doubt it can be out done. For those that arent familier with SVS, it is an internet only company that only makes subs. They sell direct without a middleman and are more than happy to take your room specs, listening habits and budget to come up with the sub that's right for you. In fact the sub I wanted was more than the one I purchased, but the I purchased was what they suggested based on the information I gave them. I do not work for them, but I am a very loyal and happy customer of theirs. I do suggest demoing many brands, but you wont be able to demo a SVS unless you have a friend with one since they sell direct. They do have a 45 day return policy with 100% refund if you are not totaly satisfied although the cost of shipping it back is on you. I hope this helps and again sorry if this turns south into a debate about subs, most people are very biased, but of course I am completely objective as long as it's a SVS. ---------------- "but I have owned a Klipsch sub " which one may make all the difference in the world, the KSW's are not great subwoofers

  19. The only thing better than a kw-120.. its a second for twice the price! I love twins! Convincing my girl friend to have em will be most challenging - no pun intended =p

  21. Are there any good digital CD players that just dish off the signal in the untouched digital format? Seems that would not be a very expensive item which would allow a superior preprocessor up to the converting task -being that you have a good one that is. It seems liek a waste to spend a lot of a cd player after buyiung a nice reciever/prepros.. thoughts?
