It's just crazy. Peeps are lining up outside for the xbox 360s.

Yeah? seems like madden would be hard to play on a keyboard and mouse. however, I have never been able to adapt to playing 1st person shooters on the console controlers. I will always love keyboard and mouse for that. impossible, imo to play on keyboard/mouse. I use a Logitech rumblepad 2. Just like a XB controller. -
I'd love to take them, but the shipping man, the shipping!

Troubles playing DVD-A Hotel California in 2channel mode
wstrickland1 replied to ACDCRB25's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
also Foriegner(1st album), Queen, the Game (although this is superb in surround) and Night @ the Opera. Back to the Rumours in 2-channel, I have to physically check to see if the center isn't playing on my system. Stevie Nicks' vocals are remarkable. -

Fleetwood Mac Rumours plays great in 2 channel -
and don't discount the RB 35s for surrounds, for the money that is. I'm using a pair as mains w/ an RC 7 and RS 7s and they perform very very nicely. Of course they're not quite as good as RB 75s but for surround duty you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. IMO, of course. They are quite a potent bookshelf speaker.

Then you need to play some madden NFL. Hours of fun and frusteration. frustration....you got that right. You play some idiot, are winning then he syncs you or just quits. Who cares about losing, but you lose wallet tokens in the process(or don't gain any more) then you don't have enough to join a game. That sucks. My wife says it's prolly some 9 year old kids I'm playin. Maybe, but they certainly seem to know how to use insults and profanity. -

Resonating cabinet fix... done simple

They look cool. My KLF 30s did the same thing. I glued AND screwed them. I'll never part with them so WTH, there will be no vibrating the backs off those dogs anytime soon. Billy -

S2 has Prologic IIx and from what I understand mutes momentarily during sound field changes to alleviate that damn popping (which I have gotten used to). I like my series 1 and have no intention of sending it in for an upgrade just for PLIIx. What kind of good deal are you getting. Also, unless you're running long interconnects, skip the balanced. I'm really liking the Pioneer VSX 1015 for $475 local (BB). It has alot of features, a better than average remote, video upconversion, plenty of inputs and really good power. No HDMI switching but otherwise has everything you'd want. I personally don't think spending another $500 would get you much more than HDMI switching.

Uh , you do know that both of those scenerios would never happen right ? You just mentioned 4 teams in the same conferance . Now if you are talking about the AFC championship , ( Before the Super Bowl ) , it's possible . [] I predict Colts vs Panthers in the Super Bowl . With the Colts winning it going away . Chris Berman thinks the Panthers will go, Ron Jaworski thinks Atlanta.....the Panther's cheerleaders go either way

Dunno, but you sure as hell got my attention! Perhaps it is the long-rumoured Reference Premiere in a non-Industrial-Lights-and-Magic blingolicious cabinet? [] Reference 3-way.. hm.... now *that* would make me upgrade from my synergy 5-ch setup.. but only if the center is a 3-way, and only if the whole thing is sanely priced, not audiophool-priced. Otherwise, my old Syns will keep on singin' for years to come. ya, I don't know why they don't make a 3-way center.......I did

This software is really good however, it is limited to copying only DVDs to DVD-R if the size is approx up to 4.36 GB. If the DVD size is greater than this (ex. dual layer DVDs), then I believe this will not work for you. but if you use Nero Recode you can fit it on a single disc. it omits unneeded crap and if that's not enough it will compress what's left and tell you what the "quality" is going to be(as a percentage)

Q: ya know why those chicks were in a bar instead of home resting up for the game? A: The PAnthers had a bi-week

Hey Billy , How much you want for the Martin Logan ? ... [] nah, I'm stuck with it now. I doubt I could make that work.

What a deal on CF-3s! $300 is the least I'll take for the KV4 not including shipping ::shudder:: or I'll trade for a KLF C7
-
and I have just what you need.......a KV4 in vn condition. I just pulled the trigger on a new RC7 to replace it. The reason I replaced it was because it just didn't match the other Reference speakers in the set up. It stuck out like a sore thumb. However if I had Epics and an RC7, I would be looking for a KV4. BEcause it does matter that much. It took me a while to realize it. What part of the country are you in?
-
Willie'll just tell me to buy 'em. Bro, as much as I'd love to have them, I'm already down the road with this downstairs set up. I'm gonna take the proceeds from the Carver and buy a RC7 at a good price, around $400, maybe less. I'm really liking these Reference speakers and having a great sounding system downstairs. If the funds were there, I would definitely buy your LSs and use in the garage turning exercise/playroom. As it is, I'll be using some $.50 JBL J6020 transistor radio speakers running off an Adcom GFA 5500/Carver pre out there. Wonder how long that'll last. Good luck, I know those speaks will fly. If not, may I interest you in a new heat pump or high efficiency furnace? Billy

I bought my Samsung 61"DLP from Tweeter.com. $2200 delivered, NO TAX. It's a $3500 TV. It arrived intact, and if it had been beat up the least little bit I would have refused delivery. It has been working flawlessly for a year now. As for the local economy, I'll spend the money I saved here in town. I'd say that's a fair deal. Billy

Help from someone that isn't biased towards large speakers
wstrickland1 replied to RTTR's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
I say yes, too. I'm using RB 35s for mains and they sound great in stereo. From what I've read on this forum, the 75s are even that much better. Don't forget your sub[] -
My RB 35s have a combination threaded and keyhole type mount on the back. If for some reason yours does not and you must hang it from the back, you can install a mount on the back, but do not just screw the mount on, but remove the drivers and thru-bolt it. MAke sure to use a small lock washer and lock-tite on the threads. It will be a little trouble but will provide a sturdy and dependable mount.
