  1. Being an owner of Forte IIs and having never heard any Cornwall series, I'd still vote for #2. I wish I had enough room and enough $$ for a setup like that!
  2. Do you know where you got your lighter colored component stand from? What are its dimensions? Thanks! With your speakers, I would toe them in slightly so that they are aimed toward your main listening position. Experiment with slight to extreme toe-in angles and see what you like best. It looks like you have them separated about as far as they can be from each other considering your room layout.
  3. Good price on the RC-64 but I don't think it will match up with your KGs in the least bit. You'll have to turn the output of the RC-64 way down or turn the output of the KGs way up, plus the voicing or timbre of the speakers are totally different. Oh well, you can always sell your KGs and buy new Reference series to replace them with. []
  4. For center speaker, new = none. Used = Another Forte, a Quartet or Academy. Surrounds, pretty much anything you want that's a WDST type speaker. I'm very happy with the speakers listed in my sig. below.
  5. You want your front three speakers to match as close as possible. There isn't any speaker in the current lineup that will be a timbre match to your 10.5s as far as I can tell by looking at all of the currently available center speakers. If you want to use your 10.5s your best bet will be to watch eBay, your local craigslist, etc. If you do buy one that is new from a store make sure you can return it after you buy it and get it home if it doesn't blend with your 10.5s. If you do want to buy new, start with the C3 and then the C2 if that doesn't work out. I wouldn't recommend the C1. Your side surround speakers aren't quite as important to match. The S3s seem to be impossible to find anywhere, I'd recommend S2s or RS-42s if you want to get something that's brand new. I wouldn't recommend anything from Reference series to go with your Synergy series as far as a center speaker goes.
  6. Do you not have a volume knob? [] Seriously, the F3s can handle 600 watts peak. You'll be fine using the amp without modifying anything.
  7. According to Klipsch's handy-diddle-dee-dandy website they recommend the KSF-C5 for the center speaker and the KSF-S5 for surrounds. http://www.klipsch.com/products/discontinued/details/ksf-10-5.aspx
  8. It depends. On eBay you can get the original PS3s that were backwards compatible with PS2 and PSone games. The original ones were the 20gig and 60gig versions. The newer ones aren't backwards compatible to the older game systems. If that isn't a big deal to you I'd recommend buying one new from a local store. I'd go in there and say that Store X in town is selling the PS3s for the same price so why should I buy one here? You might get a gift card from the store that you can use towards a DVD/Blu-Ray remote, second controller, movie, game, etc.
  9. Yep, 01 Mustang GT convertible, also '97 SHO and '08 Caliber as shown below.
  10. Klipsch - pronounce it just like it looks. Also, SHO-MAN, does that refer to a Taurus SHO by chance?
  11. Is a passive woofer considered a vented enclosure? [:^)]
  12. I'd say its a tossup between getting my Onkyo receiver and getting my Hsu MBM-12. The Onkyo just cranks out the power to no end. The MBM really gives you that punch in the gut that my SVS doesn't. The SVS and the MBM pair up together wonderfully.
  13. Thanks for the link, Bill! I'm ordering two of the pictured audio towers. Looks like I'll have a few inches of clearance above the Quartet and be able to sit it upright like it was meant to be! I think my setup will look really nice after I get them. I'll definitely take some pics of the completed setup.
  14. I was wanting that poster for a long time but they were always expensive on eBay, etc. Then about a year or so ago someone on here posted that you could email Maxell and they'd send you one free. I did and I got mine about two weeks later. Good to see that they're giving them away again.
  15. Do you have your subwoofer set to Auto on? If so, then when you switched your speakers to small it routed more bass to the sub and 'woke it up.' Since the sub had then woken up that's why it worked when you changed them to Large. KG2s should always be set to Small. You're also better off leaving the Sub on the On position all the time as well. It uses basically the same amount of electricity as in the Auto position.
  16. It is generally recommended to use a direct radiating bookshelf or floorstanding type speaker rather than a wide dispertion speaker such as your RS-35s for rear surrounds in a 7.1 configuration. If you like your RS-35s then something in the RB series would work well. Also, in a 5.1 setup the surround speakers are recommended to be placed on the side of your listening position and only very slightly behind you.
  17. Got it through NetFlix and was blown away. Hadn't seen it in the theater. Almost jumped out of my seat during the scene in the mayor's office when he walks toward the window.
  18. I highly doubt that gigantic TV is a CRT TV. If so, it would probably be the largest one in existence! Looks like a RPTV which wouldn't be affected by magnetism.
  19. If you don't do it now, around the Superbowl most stores offer big discounts and very long term interest free financing.
  20. My current setup has my Quartet center speaker sitting on top of a small stand that a friend built for me. Its sitting in front of my TV stand on the floor. As it sits, it covers up my components behind it. They all work fine and I can access them all and my remote still works fine, but I was thinking of getting a different TV stand that will allow me to place my Quartet center inside it laying sideways. I want something very inexpensive, under $100. Laying on its side a Quartet without the wood riser is 28" wide, 16" tall and 12" deep. I've built some Sauder and O'Sullivan brand desks and shelves before and despite the fact that they are pretty cheap they do get the job done. I looked on Sauder's website but didn't see anything that would work well. Does anyone know a different brand to consider? Ideally I'd like to be able to sit my Quartet center upright but I'd need a stand that had a 28" tall opening inside it. I wish I was handier with woodworking or I'd build one myself. This is the stand that I would love to have:

  22. Depends on a lot of factors. Are you looking for a surround-sound receiver, two channel amp, etc? As far as somewhat affordable brands, Denon, Yamaha, Onkyo and Harman/Kardon have been used and enjoyed by many on here. Also, I hate to point out spelling mistakes on the internet, but I'm just flabbergasted that you spelled matching, match and receiver incorrectly but spelled Klipsch correctly! [Y] []
  23. No current center speaker will match as good as what jamesV suggested and I'll add to his list the KV series of center speakers. With your 4.2s you'd probably want either the KV-2 or KV-3. Here's a couple KV-2s on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Klipsch-KV-2-Center-Channel-Speaker_W0QQitemZ250346705156QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSpeakers_Subwoofers?hash=item250346705156&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1209|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50 http://cgi.ebay.com/KLIPSCH-KV-2-CENTER-CHANNEL-KG-5-BOOKSHELF-SPEAKERS_W0QQitemZ270320906850QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSpeakers_Subwoofers?hash=item270320906850&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1209|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50
