  1. Cal, I thought I would just stay at the office and keep hitting post until Monday morning to catch U[] Although I have had a couple good days now staying in the top ten but Michael's already on my tail[] Hmm, PC & Cambridge or go home and listen[8-)] I'm outta here, have a great weekend all[<)]
  2. I'm not sure OldBuck but when I saved it to my Desktop it was still moving! Don't know if there is a setting you engage[*-)] Yo Duke, your Avatar moves, what's the secret[:^)] Man; bringing up that Ten Years after stuff is now going to make me go home and cue up some Quicksilver MSG'r Service[] OldBuck, if you don't have the Blind Faith deluxe edition I say head to da store buddy[] So many choices.....so little time! Could be worse, think about the movie Groundhog Day[]
  3. They look great Triceratops, nice work[] I really think the banding takes them to WAK acceptance and makes them look like a finished piece of furniture[]
  4. I was blown away at Cueman giving me his empty LaScalla cabs but Bill and Anne have to be some of the finest folks around and to come to this forum with their generosity really shows how much these K-Horns meant to them, simply outstanding people[] Gary, I never knew until reading this thread how you came about your K's but since my entry into this forum I have found you to be an outstanding member and as others have said extremely worthy of your gift! A belated congradulations to you Sir[] Next time I'm out visiting my older brother in DC I'm going to look several of you gentlemen up[] From a great album title "Ain't Life Grand"[]
  5. Texas gang, Trey has a thread you need to look at! http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/thread/731902.aspx
  6. Gary LMAO! Hofy's DTMS was one of the funniest things I have seen in a while, that $89.95 Isolation system is to die for[:|] Fini, Seti is just like me, our vehicles won't even travel out of town unless they have a cooler full of Big Bottles of Hoppy products in them[] I was planning to not drink in order to shuttle some folks back and forth to the Hotels but I may have to pay off another non drinker[<)]
  7. I knew after meeting Larry last year in Hope that he had a really sweet system and I have seen his beautiful JE's up close before and they just look ballsy don't they. His Avatar is too small to validify that but you now know! After talking to him for a short while I knew he had more experience and knowledge than an Encyclopedia[] Look forward to seeing him again this year. Maybe when I retire I can go on a world listening tour as this forum has some of the sweetest systems and what a top notch bunch[] Really sounds like another fine time enjoyed by members and something I always enjoy and appreciate myself. Rich, I hope to get you that price quote soon[^o)]
  8. Good choice Gilbert, made me break out my Human League "Dare" album[]
  9. None at all, let me add some of my catalog material[] Tull Zep Hendrix Free/Bad Co. SRV Yusef, Cat Stevens (Can't help it "Tea for the Tillerman still 1 of my favs)[:$] Trapeze/Hughes I better stop, have more than I can listen too[] OldBuck you got that Avy to load up, not moving but appropos for your sig[]
  10. Cal, I'm with pauln on this one. Until I can afford a real nice VPI I'm using the Orbitrac and it's great for the price. Had it at Hope last year!
  11. Artto, you need to have meagain over for a listening session[] I hope to run this thread in a couple years but for Jubs, keeping my fingers crossd[] I have often wonder what an iPod run straight into 2 of these (see Above) into a pair of K-Horns would sound like and how much dig they would have!
  12. This is such a subjective topic and the media we play still has a lot to do with either term but Dean has said it best in one line! Said more than once, I believe a couple of others mentioned this too. Sure, if something is "musical", than it is "accurate". (replace a with e were appropriate)[] I make the media statement because I have some recordings that are accurate on my system to a point of that realism spoken of and then I have some that are so jagged in their playback that I think the engineer was bumping the spindle as he recorded[:^)] The quest for the proverbial accuracy is what drives this crazy hobby and why we have so many snake oil peddlers, bullsh1t reviewers who perpetuate the problem by having manufacturers in their hip pockets & the big one GREED! I sure don't have the best equipment in the world but after assembling my 4 rig I have come to terms to stop obsessing and start listening more before my time is up here and all I did was seach for some impossible nirvana by perfection! My thought pattern about listening these days is put on and hope for the best[]
  13. WALLETECTOMY[] LMAO Not that I can't find enough stuff to empty my wallet on myself this place is a true plethora 's Welcome[]
  14. DUKE, instant lawn buddy[] Backed my Dumptruck into the underbrush just last night while listening to "Giving up the ghost"[]
  15. Fini, you sir are a bonofied NUT[] Seti and I look forward to seeing you again[]
  16. Ear, I can't escape "Who let the dogs out" because it seems to have become the Hoggs ralley song here in Arkansaw[] Moon, "Nightengales & Bombers" is one of my all time favorite albums and "Time Is Right" is in my top 10 song list[] Think I need to que up ........ sittin' on a spinnin' top...........hopin' time ain't gonna stop[]
  17. Amen Thebes[li] If one jumps over to the new first post thread they will see my first post was response to Cueman for giving me my LaScalla cabs and if that does not speak volumes from the like on this thread I just don't know what does[8-)] I also started out on the wrong foot with one of the most respected posters on this sight and after our own confessions we are more alike than we could have ever thought from our fisrt meeting and impression[] What a fine lot we have here, coming to this site has become a little [ip] for me and just love looking around and reading, learning and admiring so many[] Rock On fellow Klipsch-a-nistas
  18. DW, you da man and great answer[] OldBuck, if you really want to use the old guy as your Avatar you can highlight him with a back drag and save him to your desktop and apply him just like your current Avatar I believe I was able to save him this way to my desktop but I'm not planning on using him but it looks like it would work fine.
  19. And very close to the "Rose" I might add[] This Boomer is from Austin and I am so glad they got the SanJose up and going, not cheap I see but it's in my old neighborhood and just around the corner from the old Armadillo and right by Jalisco were you can get the best slammers in town with that oh so famous Grito[] Up the street from the Continental Club and a stones throw from the Austin Opera House! Dang I miss home[] Hope everyone has a grand time and for those who make it to Hope we can share the tales of your rocking central Texas meet[<)]
  20. My first post and what a great one it was! http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/2/546052/ShowThread.aspx THX to Cueman I now have Block Party speakers and this thread truly is what the Klipsch Forum is all about[]
  21. DRBILL & Gilbert are tearing me up here! LMAO Hey, they might be like the ones Jack-In-The-Beanstalk had, you know MAGIC[] Tweaks have always been a fine line item with me but things such as these stones in a bottle (by the way I think I have seen a high end reviewer review these) and Cryo treatments are too far fetched for me to even consider and if I had them and someone saw them I would be so [:$] IMHO room treatments and Isolation are true tweaks but even a lot of those are edgy and over priced! How about the Cloud stuff, rubber balls and mass stamped out plexi for $100 or $300 bones; please! Used Tennis balls (usually free at any club) cut in half which I know I have been using in some applications for 20 years would be better than spending money on the designer Cloud product. A $6.00 piece of wood and a $24.00 set of Vibra Pods does the same thing at 300% less monetary outlay! PT was right and they have the cash!
  22. Coytee, I swear on a stack of bibles I will never complain about my wifes "Honey Do" list she hands me every Friday again! What creative minds and hard work can produce even with a *** or tat disagreement sometimes[] You should be quite proud of yourselves and do take the time to enjoy and take it all in when possible[]
  23. OldBuck, I appreciate your original question it's just you needed a little more clarification for some[] I'm also sure JB is just ribben' ya now but after looking at that fellow he goes perfect with you sig![] Peace Out
