  1. You are right Fini, when I first saw his post I immediately associated his look with a shot of Christopher Walken in the Res Dogs[] For sure a cool shot JJ[]
  2. Great points all over the place here but I have a 3 (Aug 9) & 5 (May 27) and my father-in-law is a counselor and over the Masters program at a major University here in Arkansas. He has been a wealth of knowledge for his daughter and I and I just want to let a few of you know you are on the right path to success. Kids are so much smarter than we ever give them credit for! The three most important things for us was. 1) Consistency in everything 2) Positive Reinforcement 3) The effects of making good decisions (Our jobs to map this out for them)! And the most important and hardest thing for we parents is to never loose our bearing or cool! As I said they are very smart and once they know they are controlling you and the situation you in for a up-hill battle. Just look back at Tom Adams post, he has it down pat and I'm quite sure he is a great parent and his chilren are far better for it[] Always remember we are the grown ups[] My .02 fer what it's $
  3. Happy belated Gary[] Kaiser hits the big 50 this Oct[] Toast to you listening to great Jazz for another 46[]
  4. Sput! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Once again Max you have wisely spoken the truth[] I often wonder what some of the naysayer's of high end think of my system but in the end I really don't care because it's my money (call me a fool if you will but all my gears were bought well below retail and what I feel is still a reasonable price)! When you look at a K-Horn, Blueberry, VRD's, Maxxed NT'Joeb and a fine analog rig are we not talking 7 grand plus! Counselors, I rest my case[] I'm not uneasy with what I own and no one esle should be uneasy with whatever they think I may have paid[:|] Get what you like Get what you can afford Get into the music.......................................and share with your friends[]
  6. Simple throw away the nasty recordings Ahhhh the pain of poorly mixed digital. You could also ripp these CD's to MP3's and then burn them to redbook from the compressed files. It would be interesting to hear what you find after doing this. Craig Sounds akin to re-inventing the wheel Craig! Let me make one statement Seti left off his post and that would be his "BRIGHT ROOM"! Sorry buddy but 15X15X13 with all bare surfaces is my 1st choice of where your problem is coming from! A fart sound bright in that room[]

  9. Chops, not just the pound but many tracks and handlers just put them down and that is a pure crime in my book[:@] rplace, you sir are a good samaritan and I think Clint still looks to be in fine shape and quite happy by the snapshot! I have owned 2 whippits and a Basenji which is really not a coursing hound but very similar and they are great pets and awesome with children[] For inquiring minds[] http://www.netpets.com/dogs/reference/breedinfo/sighthounds.html
  10. pmsummer, based on your pic I'd say you were a Texas ranger[] rplace, tell me you saved that good lookin' fella from a race track near by[]
  11. Clarence, I believe Craig hit the proverbial nail on the head with his last remark[] Max, Seti just got himself one of the Cambridge Audio Azur 640C CDP's with 24/192 upsampling and for $275.00 I don't think for that price it can be touched IMHO! Cambridge is now producing the same unit Hard Drive Server Based with capabilities of adding at least 2 USB external hard drives......... http://www.cambridgeaudio.com/summary.php?PID=39&Title=Azur+640H and a nice butt shot[] http://www.cambridgeaudio.com/gallery/640h/640h-rear.jpg Emmerline is a small portable amp for iPod and other portable listening devices very similar to one of these http://www.headphone.com/products/headphone-amps/the-mobile-line/headroom-total-airhead-clear.php but with a metal housing instead of high impact plastic! The combination of recording lossless onto my iPod and then running that through the amp and the shures is IMO the best portable music I have heard to date! I'm sure digital is tough for you MAx especially trying to get it right after listening to that awesome analog rig of yours[]
  12. Sham, Max you are far from any kind of sham sir[] My next purchase is going to be the Cambridge Azur Music Server along with an LaCie external TB box so that I can rip everything I want at EAC lossles, heck I cut my drive capacity by two thirds on my Pod but the sound quality coming through my Emerline into the Shure E3c's is truly one of the best mobile systems I have ever heard period. JA over at Stereophile has an exceelent post on the Sqeezebox right now you may want to look at! Practacality and time for technology price drops is the key for me[]
  13. WOW, 107lbs! 200 a side would sure light up a Heritage H/T setup[] Have directed a couple searches that way[]
  14. I'm with ironwoods on this one in that I'm not sure which direction your heading here! You might want to look into a nice sub and CD player, my good buddy just bought the Cambridge Audio Azur 640C and it's a very nice upsampling machine for the money and I think it is a good starting point for a digital front end. If your planning on just running both sets of speakers A/B on the receiver in the same room I would look for another pair just like the ones you have and matching will be a moot issue. If you want a second pair in another room then your have a pleathora of options! "So hefy, would you say I have a pleathora of Pinata's?" (Could not resist!) The Nakamichi TA line was very good stuff so I think you have a great little unit there and you can't really go wrong with any Klipsch product[] This is one of my old ones which I sold to a good buddy who is still enjoying the dog out of!
  15. Chops: Looks like some very nice gear indeed[] http://www.nadelectronics.com/
  16. Apparently we all lost our balls with one punch of the execute key[co] Now it's really hip to be square[:$] Feeling a little boxed in are we[] To box or not to box; that is the question[:|] Box-it-to-me Baby[8-|] Dagnabbit, i've run out of sniglets[] (Thank God)
  17. TRAVISC: Love the black all thread as it really looks much more elegant with all that beautiful black MAC[] Moon: ART DECO See www.designsunlimited.co.za/ Jim: Very Nice Setup[] OK, Now you can match photo to system description in the signature[]
  18. OK Chops, me and the boys are going to try and get ourselves hooked up here one more time[]
