  1. I remember the big switch from Maxwell (blue can) to Folgers (red container). Must have been in the 70's. There was a period when I would stop at Dunkin Donuts for a large coffee and two Old Fashion (plain cake in side with a light glaze) donuts. Then take it back to my office in the court house for a leisurely breakfast. Hey Coytee....looked up your wife's coffee machine. That's a tad pricey though I bet it does a good job.
  2. Holding out okay young fella? Frozen pipes?
  3. Happy birthday Eric. Put one on my tab!
  4. That should be a good match. If the price and condition is good......go for it. Why is the owner selling?
  5. Where is jacksonbart? No post since 9/4/18. Gone back to Pluto?
  6. I adopted two Jakes......big Jake and little Jake. I will have had little Jake 3 years in July. He will be twelve.
  7. Carl your post brought a tear or two......thanks for the kind words. It's always a question of who rescued who. Trish and I wouldn't have moved in together if not for Jake's adoption. Having a second Old Fashion with Proof syrup and bitters. Randy you were right the Prednisone perked Jake up and he ate soft food for the first time in two weeks. We were both thrilled that he ate with such an appetite. So here again is my boy.
  8. Fully functional I would be all over it but no techs in my neck of the woods. Cosmetics very good I take it?
  9. How much are you attached to the wife?
  10. Ultrasound yielded not such good news. Pancreatitis, liver disease, gall stones. Some nodes would need biopsy to determine the need for surgery. At twelve years old we are not likely to take that route. The liver can regenerate but with Jake the nodes are on all three globes. Extra thickness of the stomach lining likely contributes to loss of appetite. So steroids and antibiotics for now. Wish the news was better.........
  11. Raining cats and dogs here. Expecting 2-4 inches more of the wet stuff before clearing on Tuesday. Speaking of dogs....just finished chasing Jake around the house to get his medication. Half a pill in a dab of peanut butter on the roof of his mouth. Tires us both out. Off to the Vet at 9am for an ultrasound......wish us luck gents. I admit I'm as nervous as a long tail cat on a porch full of rockers.
  12. Got up to 60 so I bought a bottle of Ketel One after looking at those blue cheese stuffed olives in the refrigerator for several days. 2 slushies a day is good....3 is better. 4 is trouble.
  13. So would that make Richie Dino or Wilma?
  14. I'm 72...wish I was Steve's age knowing what he knows now. Wait is that right? Anyway you get my point.
  15. Looks great. Would like to hear your system!
  16. And coming home to Gisele Bundchen probably doesn't hurt either.
  17. Thanks dtel. It's so frustrating when Jake watches us eat and then turns down our food and his. He goes in for an ultrasound on Saturday so we are hoping for the best. Looks like a good time at Rodney's!
  18. Carrot sticks and whip cream with two bites of bacon. Jake's choice this morning.
  19. Hasn't been a great week with Jake having gall stones and not eating. He has refused just about everything. Back to the vet today for fluids, shot of B12 and a prescription to stimulate appetite. Just gave him the first pill with peanut butter on the roof of his mouth. After two week without alcohol I have poured the first two tonight.
  20. This is my other set up in a larger room.
  21. Thanks Dman and welcome to the forum. It came from Salamanderdesigns.com. Configure shelves as you like plus the back panels are easily removed to facilitate wiring. They often have sales and free shipping.
  22. Thanks Bill. Yes from an earlier whole house system. Never unwrapped the dust cover for the turntable. I do miss the size of the room at my house......this is LF's place.
  23. The Rega P3 is in the cabinet with a slide out tray.
