  1. What part of Mo do you live in? Maybe you can come over to my house and take a listen to my eD. Drink my beer. Stare at my wife.
  2. If they don't get it right, contact Amy. She'll make it right.
  3. As far as subs go, I can bouch for Elemental Designs. Made right here in the good ole U.S. of A. And they have great support. Good luck.
  4. I like Emo as well, But If I had to do it again I would get a XPA-5. It would be cheaper in the long run because you might want a pre-amp in the near future.
  5. I like Subway. They make good subs.
  6. Go with the RC 64 for sure. And you might think about just going with a 5.1 system and buying a amp if your reciever has pre-outs.
  7. I like Elemental Designs. Very good bang for the buck. Good people to work with. I would like to have this one http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_41&products_id=891. But they also have a DIY for $1250 and its the same one. Good luck.
  8. The mosquito's are terrible. It seems awful early. As for firefly's, they are thick as well. Its like a big light show. I love to watch them but the mosquitos will eat you alive.
  9. Today I picked a grill for $20 from a guy on Craigslist. It wasn't a Weber but it was very similar. I was hoping for a Weber for fathers day but I figure I really can't go wrong for $20. The stand is alittle wooblely but the grill itself is in perfect shape. I also picked up some hamburger, chicken, and a 12 pack of Bud Light. I'll find out how well it cooks.
  10. Robi, I can't answer any of your question but I can tell you that I'm glad you like them. I really like reading about cornscala's and I want to build but don't have the cash. Please continue with the updates and pictures.
  11. Thanks guys for the quick reply. I don't mean to hijack this thread. I'm trying to learn and do alittle research. Trying to save alittle cash and build some cornscalas and then get kicked out of the house. Thanks again.
  12. I googled the APT 150 and came up with a driver/horn combo for $40 at USSpeakers. Is this the one you are using? Would they sound good in a cornscala? I'm pretty new at this kinda thing but I do know for sure that its a good price compared to other tweeters.
  13. Thanks guys for the quick response. If I do get a call I'll buy them. It only $22. I'll put them in my boy's room. Thanks again guys
  14. That pretty much says it all. I seen a pair for sell at a good price. I never heard of them. They are 4 way speakers. I left a message and hope they call me back. I hope they are a diamond in the rough.
  15. If its the same spikes that go in the RF 62's, I have extra's and can send you a set or you can get them from Klipsch.
  16. Dave , I think we've spoke sometime back. Is your 62's running out of gas? Mine too. I personally don't think that the 82's would be that big of a noticable difference as far as upgrade goes. I think the 63's and 83's are in a whole other class and would be a nice improvement. Or RF5's or RF7's like RockOn4Klipsch pointed out would be good too. There are some 63's for sale in the Garage Sale section. Good luck Dave.
  17. I too, am sorry for your loss. Prayers and good thoughts for you and yours.
  18. Thank you Al for all your test, hard work and your time. Like I said before , I want to build but man its so confusing at times. I just want to do it right when I do it. Please excuse my ignorance.
  19. I don't understand all the charts. But want to build some cornscala's one day. While my family is home I keep the volume down. But when they leave I would crank it up. Is there a tweeter that works good at high and low levels? And still hear the crash of a symbol? Thanks for your time.
  20. I wonder if MMC-1 has a built in EQ. If it does you might try turning it off. Or you might give them a call. They are easy to get a hold of and good people to talk to. Good luck.
  21. I work with that stuff alot. We call it fiberglass board. Its some itchy stuff.
  22. Pete, I'm really enjoying this thread. You not done are you?
