  1. We have 17 hens and 3 roosters and 1 female duck. I love fresh eggs. But yes the fresher the egg, the harder to peel. My wife boils with salt in water. Who wants to boil and eat a old egg. Kinda defeats the purpose. The easiest way I have found to peel a boiled egg is to let someone else do it for me. There you go. Problem solved.
  2. Carbon Summit, are you going to get it? I'll bet it sounds better than your/our 663. I bet you're really going to like it. I'm glad your getting it before me because if it doesn't sound better I would be out all that money.(LOL) But really, if I had the cash I would get one. I think Emotiva makes a good product. Good luck to ya my friend.
  3. I have never heard the RF 3 but I'm sure they sound great. I wish I would have save alittle more cash and gotten the RF 82. Professor Thumper says great things about them. Good luck my friend.
  4. I have one that powered my set-up for over a year. Its a good reciever. And it has pre-out's incase you ever run on to a good buy on a amp. One other thing, do you have a sub? A sub will take alot of pressure off your reciever when hitting the lows.
  5. Youthman, I think you will get the most out of a amp. Tell yourself you deserve a amp. You need a amp. You want a amp.
  6. So how much money do ya have left? LOL
  7. My wife is making a blackeyed pea cassarole as I type. Man I like blackeyed pea's
  8. Your right Darylomer12. I guess I wasn't thinking. Sorry about that.
  9. I agree with Redtitan about the Emotiva. A 8002 will cost you $2000. A XPA-5 is $800 and a UMC-1 is $700. But both are good choices.
  10. Help you spend your money? You came to the right place. I think you will love the 83's and the Marantz as well. You might check out a different sub. I like Elemental Designs but there are alot of choices out there. If you have a extra cash you might check out a amp as well. I like Emotiva. Best bang for the buck. Are you broke yet? Welcome to the forum. Good luck.
  11. I don't trust anything that comes from a burlap factory in Arkansas. Just Kidding. You do have some nice speakers. Welcome to the forum.
  12. Kg4guy, thank you for posting the pictures. Not much room. I don't get it. It looks like it's choked down. Big driver, little hole. I'm sure if you explained it to me I would be more confused. I wake up confused. Thanks again. You do beautiful work. Good thread. I have a itch to build cornscala's or a sub. I want more. Bigger speakers.
  13. If you don't mind, I would like to see a picture of the bass driver after it is mounted in the bin. I can't get it in my head which way it sets or how you even get a driver in there. There is no room.
  14. Islander, I take my hat off to my Northern brothers. I like Canada
  15. We have a hill behind the north side of our house. About every night deer come from the south and bed down back there. About 8:30 PM we heard a gun shot and seen a flash light shinng across the street were the deer usually come from. I got my shoes and coat on and seen a older SUV drive by and kept driving by slowing way down as they passed our house. I sure they were looking for a dead deer. If a man needs to feed his family by killing a deer is fine with me. As long as they don't do it on my land. It makes me very uncomfortable. Dtel, nice pictures. Deer look very healthy. Its so relaxing to sit on your back porch and watch the deer or turkey.
  16. The Good Lord did bless you. Congrats brother
  17. Duder, check this eD out in the DIY. Its what I would like to have http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_136&products_id=849 its the same as the A7s 650 which cost $1950 if they build it and if you build it the cost is $1050 and comes with all the wood and drivers and amp. It hits low and loud.
  18. Monti, I'm glad you told me that before I started pulling wires. Ha. That would have been a drag. Thank you.
  19. I have a Denon AVR 1803 I thought about trying with my XPA 3 just to see how it sounds up against a Yamaha. Neither are high-end recievers but they sound very different.
  20. I double checked. Neo33 is right. The brochure is in fact on the Sub10. Sorry for the bad info. Measure 3 times and cut twice is how I like to do it.
  21. You can find some spec's on it here http://www.sierranet.net/sav/hometh.htm if the link works.
  22. I'm a very slow reader. And that confused the heck out of me. Anyway, you might check out Elemental Designs. I have a A3-300 and I like it. BUT, ha, If I had the money, I would love to have a A7s-650. They also have a diy kit for the A7s-650 for about half the price.
