  1. No its not right. If they want to have a circus at school then it should be free for all the kids. If the circus needs money for admission then it should be off school property and the circus can charge what ever they need to in order to make a profit. Thats a poor mans opinion.
  2. I have almost the same speakers as you. I have a Yamaha and I like it but I also have a amp at 200 watts per channel. If I had the money and was going to get a reciever and only a reciever I would get the best Marantz I could afford. Or you might think about pre-amp/ amplifier. Sometime it cost less than a high-end reciever and get better results. I personally think that Emotiva is a good bang for the buck. This is just my opinion. There are people on the forum like Bill who has been at this alot longer than me and know their stuff. Good luck.
  3. Dan I agree with you. Just plain wrong. That might have been someone who didn't have alot money and would have been proud to own these speakers and would have kept them for alot of years. A man can't buy a break in this area.
  4. Maybe you have already been bitten by the upgrade bug. There is only one cure for it. I would go for the 64.
  5. I wish I had a set of Forte's so I could replace things in them.
  6. You found a heck of a good deal. I really think that good clean power can improve just about any set of speakers. Enjoy
  7. When the 663 and 863 came out people compared the two. And the only difference was the the 863 had more bells and whistles and that was it. Just trying to help a brother out.
  8. You got it. Prayers for your son and you and your family.
  9. I watched several clips and all I can say is my goodness. My goodness. I really don't have the words.
  10. Jake, I don't think you will notice any difference between the two. Save your $$$ and get a amp. Amps never go out of style and you Will notice a difference.
  11. Thanks for the reply Rich Guy. I should have took the time to looked myself. Processors only. Oh well. Still a good deal.
  12. Your a good man Paul. And I wish I could help you out but I have no answer.
  13. Fish, are you saying that if I buy something else from Emo I get 40% off?
  14. Fish, I'm glad you like your new pre-amp. I'm proud for you brother. I wish I would have saved my money and got a XPA 5 rather than the XPA 3 because I knew I would want a pre-amp sooner or later. Maybe some day I can get a XPA 2 to go with my 3 and then get a pre-amp. And bigger speakers, and bigger sub and a bigger house to put them in. Does it ever end?
  15. I like Bud Light. But it is always so much cold and taste so,so much better when someone else pays for it. How's that for cheap.
  16. I have a set-up alot like yours and I have mine set at 60hz.
  17. Good gosh I just had my propane tank filled. For 325 gallons ir cost me $665. And there was a waiting list. Everyone wants propane. Darn this cold weather. The last time I got propane I gave $1.25 a gallon for it. I think that was late summer. I guess its supply and demand, heck I don't know. But atleast my speakers will be warm. Ha.
  18. Happy Birthday brother and many more to come.
  19. Have ya seen them? Does anyone have one? Looks like you just screw them in like a light bulb. I have one question. Where's the horn?
  20. I agree with Dtel. Emotiva is a good way to go. But if you want to go with a reciever, Jake123 is right about the Yamaha. They make a product that is good for both music and movies. I would guess Marantz has it all but for a price. But I don't know what is offered up north. Good luck brother.
