  1. Michael, that is very excellent news. It's great that you sound happy. Super congrats on the girlfriend part---now if only i could find one. So, you saying this 2010 is the next Summer of Love? Best regards, Steve
  2. sorry to hear about your daughter's health trouble fini--i sure hope everything works out. not sure what condition you'll be in if you drink any of that hot dog coffee though. best wishes buddy, steve
  3. i doubt it. heard a recent interview and he said something about not being tired of coaching yet.
  4. i don't know. i have an adapter that allows me to use my iphone in my klipsch igroove.
  5. so much for that new & improved phoenix defense.
  6. i've had quite the opposite experience in my part of SoCal--my ATT (iphone) coverage is far better than my previous verizon service. i rarely experience a dropped call--maybe six in over a year. with verizon there were so many times i couldn't get a signal period--don't have that problem after switching to ATT.
  7. if you bought the speakers from a couple of guys in a white van--the cabinets may be filled with balloons. i know, i know, i'm not much help--i get that all the time. steve
  8. Thats good to know, i noticed he hadn't been on lately and wondered if he okay. Thanks for letting us know. Steve
  9. Yeah...i miss OB too....he was a stand up guy....i shared on the forum when my wife traded me in for someone else, and right away OB was inviting me to come and hang out at his place if i needed to get away. i wish California and New York weren't so far away because i would have loved to take him up on that......I teased him often about his love of the Stones....yeah, he's definitely missed around here.....in his memory, i used so many periods to separate my thoughts in this post........Steve
  10. so mr. willy--did you go for it or not? Khorns for everyone on the forum!!!!!
  11. Greetings Gentlemen, I've nothing profound to say tonite; so i'll just say Hi and wish you all a great evening and even better weekend. Hey Ben my buddy from my coast guard days lives in Ft. Wayne--was going to visit him this summer when i thought the pilgrimage was going to be in Indy. Maybe next year. Would love to attend this year in hope; but, honestly my asthma can't handle summer humidity. just dawned on me that i have nothing in the house to drink except water (yuk) may have to walk down to Del Taco and grab a diet coke. Steve
  12. Thanks everyone...people are always calling me a Mother @$#% so i guess this is MY day too. But, to all the legitimate mother's out there--I hope you were treated very special this day. Steve
  13. I'm proud to say that i go to Church...and I went this morning. i'm sure none of you are surprised though--nobody can be as charming as me without help from above. Steve
  14. Doug--I'm very sorry to hear about this. I pray for your strength and comfort. this really sucks, i can't imagine what you are going through. Regards, Steve
  15. You saying we're no fun? Steve
  16. probably a good idea--no use messing around. i wish you a complete & speedy recovery.
  17. Good evening Ben, sorry to learn of Alea's hearing loss. i can sympathize. i'm sure i'm much older than her (i'm turning 50 this summer) but, i have significant hearing loss in both ears. so bad that the specialist made me get a CAT scan and then an MRI of my head to see if I had a tumor. turns out that i'm just old fashioned hard of hearing. As i write this i have headphones on and probably much too loud still). I had triple medical coverage (my job, ex-wife's job, my military retirement) and none of them covered hearing aids. So, i just took comfort in the fact that my amplifier has sufficient power and my Klipsch speakers keep the sound clean. I'd love to have hearing aids, and will someday, but they cost a fortune. drinking a diet coke and suffering from indigestion. went with a friend to a brazilian bbq joint. all you can meat of all kinds--even alligator. the waiters has it on a big rod and cuts off a hunk right at your table. of course i ate way too much and too fast trying to keep up--they bring a different type of meat by often. Got surprise at work today. a very, very attractive woman kissed me today--caught me by surprise; but, i sure liked it. Steve
  18. Kev--sorry to hear this and i hope that it was caught early and you will have a full & speedy recovery. Best wishes to you during treatment. And yes you deserve tubes & horns for sure. Steve
  19. so, the past two weeks the inflammation in my shoulder seems to have started subsiding. it was steady for six months. i'm not pain free; but, probably 90 percent of the pain has went away and i can now raise my arm above my head. i called the doctor and told him to cancel surgery scheduled for next tuesday. Not comfortable going forward with surgery now that the pain is so low that i normally wouldn't even make a doctor's appt for this level of pain. Thank God that the inflammation/pain has started going away (it was a long six months). i'm hoping that with exercise the remainder of the pain will go away--and stay away. if i returns, i'll deal with it then. i guess the surgeon will only get to golf nine holes instead of 18 since he lost some cash with me canceling. Thanks again for your well wishes--i'm going to keep them anyway. **Steve**
  20. hey winchester, enjoy that knob creek. finishing my diet coke from dinner and have the nfl draft on in the background--getting ready to crank some tunes though. glad it's friday--this was a trying week at work for sure. i think this is the first weekend in a long time that i've really looked forward to. hope you all have a good one. steve
  21. Last game i went to, i don't know who was in more pain; me watching the broncos blow them out, or that poor guy stupid enough to wear a broncos jersey to the oakland collesium. i tell people all the time, you may not want to; but a $10 Raider hat is a pretty cheap life insurance policy if you're going to a game.
  22. if the oakland raiders draft me tonite, that will seriously cut into my forum time. 49 year old guys, with upcoming shoulder surgery and four herniated disks, that have a 40 yard dash time of about 8 minutes are a hot commodity this year. I like my chances.
  23. i watched the first nighttime shuttle landing at edwards AFB. pretty cool.
  24. That's fine they will still be funny, is it the hand you favor ? I favor them both; but, yes it's my dominant arm. Good thing i got rid of the stick shift and now drive an automatic. I think this doctor is very cautious, i've been asked a million times "it's the right shoulder, correct?" i told him to pay less attention to which shoulder it is and make sure that he doesn't accidently perform a reverse circumcision.
  25. thanks again everyone. as long as i sleep through it--i'll be happy. but with only one hand available afterwards, my posts will only be half as good.
