  1. ARF, I deleted all the pics of the HOO II's at 3:30 this morning. BTW, I'll get the old Genesis out this week and put new surrounds on them and freshen the x over networks for you. I'll try to dye the surrounds the original mint green too. Just too busy playing musical caps on the Wallrus and tube rolling the McAllister ML-33 preamp. I can't seem to find the sound for this small listening room with the big horns. HarryO
  2. Why couldn't they make a Decorator pair of Cornwalls? Or did they?
  3. Hey Audible Nectar, I like your thinking on these games. Really too close to call. They can swing either way. If it DOES come down to Bears vs Colts, I'll have to get a piece of 3/4" lexan to protect my TV screen from brown longneckers! I've been watching the divisional championship games replays. Not many holding calls on the offensive lines. It could favor the offenses if it continues. Strong pass rush teams like 'Da Bears and Colts might have a long day HarryO
  4. Russ, Just go out and buy a pair of fair priced Cornwalls or LaScala II's and give them a tryout. You won't have any problem getting your money back fast on either. In all fairness I lean heavily towards the Cornwalls. Very versatile and direct. Like about any kind of power. Best "bang" for the buck. All audio is a personal taste. Keep what you like and forum the rest. HarryO
  5. They ought to take away the Quack's Klipsch!!!
  6. I built my own and used Bob's larger horn. I love it. SMOOTH. I used most of BEC's parts simply because Ebay parts can be pretty hard to find, worn down, mis matched, and many of the sellers have no idea of what they have. Listen to BEC on this one. High quality parts and very reasonably priced! BTW, Thanks again Bob. I just got your email on the '77 I'm playing extensively with the mid horn variations and fine tuning the horn. I have a few ideas if you need them. HarryO
  7. Yea, I still got one V. HarryO hbailey1@earthlink.net
  8. I've got a good used "V" if you need one also. HarryO
  9. BEC will have all you need. Rebuild or replacements. He's probably on now
  10. Saints over Chicago. N.O. running game will eat the clock and Brees is pretty slick. Bears special teams may be the difference though. Still Saints win. I've been a Bears fan since 1961. Ditkas firing was the last straw for me though. Wish for a Bears vs. Colts game. Colts over NE. Manning will play well in second half. No new commercials lately. Colts home field will be difference. Colts D should hang in good enough. Brady Manning/Colts Pats rivalry will be a good one. Colts over New Orleans 27-17 in "The Bowl"
  11. John, I've got a McAlister ML-33 with special phono amp and special headphone amp designed in. Top notch Preamp. If you could come up to say $600 I'd sell it. I've been asking $800. It was $1700 new. All tubes are fresh and barely broke in. Comes with boxes, tube layout, and tube boxes. If interested send me your email address and I'll send pics. HarryO hbailey1@earthlink.net
  12. I need one K-600 horn for a project I'm playing with. Contact me through the forum or at hbailey1@earthlink.net thanks, HarryO

  14. USMC for a while. Joined mid/late 60's. SE Asian war games plus. I am not the child my mother raised anymore. Thank you for serving our country!
  15. Hi, sorry to interrupt. They do make cables specifically for the sub. The cable filters out higher frequencies to allow the sub to handle the lower frequencies more efficiently. HarryO
  16. This makes me 3 pairs of Cornwalls here now. I have 3 pairs of Khorns, 2 LS, and 3 pairs Heresys, and my "Wallrus" (cross between CornWALL/ChoRUS) With BEC parts and help. I'm fine tuning before applying color to them. Michael got my Forte ll's. I will be downsizing soon and post on the forum. Multiple Crown PS-400's, Mac275's, Antique Sound Lab AV-20's, McAlister Pre Custom built ML-33 with special phono and headphone sections. McAlister and ASL's for sale now. HarryO
  17. He was a very nice person. Klipsch owners are the best!!
  18. They're pretty fair. K-77 was ok. The B-2 crossover caps are leaking everywhere. I've got to get with BEC tomorrow and get cap replacements on the way. HarryO
  19. If those are the ones from Ohio that were on Ebay recently it should be replaced. They can be repaired by patching from the rear and using surround adhesive or a suitable substitute. HarryO
  20. Michael didn't get them. I drove up to Chicago today and bought them. 82's with b-2's HarryO
  21. I agree totally! It does sound like BS. It just happened to work on my Denon DCM 444. No more skipping and a most definite improvement. I needed a foot for my turntable and ordered the spikes for a try. In my CD players case it made a huge difference. HarryO
  22. Back in the late 60's I was as crazy as it got. At least 'til I ended up onboard the helos'. They knew no fear. My hat was off then and now. Semper Fi HarryO
  23. Check out the Audio Technica AT 440MML. Around $235 (not the ML). Square shank like the vinyl cutters and remarkable range. 5hz-50khz. I have quite a few cartridges costing MUCH more and the AT is sweet. It's a little hard to set up but when set is a great cartridge. Right out of the box is excellent. After a short break in period it really performs. HarryO
