  1. Excuse me, but why would anyone send 65 million year old fossils per any type of shipping? Something that "valuable" should be taken a bit more care of.
  2. Great to hear everything went ok!!! Stay healthy...There is something about a near death experience that makes you enjoy life much more than before. You got a second chance, something to be thankful for!!
  3. Even I can still rember not only corded phones but also the ones with dials that would sometimes break your finger using them.. OK, now I realize that I´m gettin old to....thanks a million!!! []
  4. [:|]That chimp needs a girlfriend...
  5. I´m still waiting for smell o vision!!!
  6. 20 Billion is a joke, this is going to ruin lives both human and animal. It is a crying shame!!!
  7. Thanks!!! I just spit up a little in my mouth.
  8. I am chiming in with my experience from the Klipschtreff in Germany. Werner´s room (Klipsch Rep) is "only" 18m² where his RF83´s and KHorns are! You can set them up better but even in this space you get great results. I would not worry to much if there is "enough" room, think of them as big earphones.[] Get the ones you want and enjoy!!!
  9. I have the same problem!! The problem I get now is I can´t remember some English words and sometimes find myself using German grammer.
  10. Yes they are, since I have only heard those they are also the best in my book.[]
  11. Werner definately goes the extra mile here. If you want to hear what he has it is no problem for him to come to you with what ever you want. As long as it is reasonable. I understand the hype now with khorns, if I only had the money.
  12. Bee Gees seem to really get me riled. Another vote for the women who think if they cram 19 octaves in their song it is good. Stupid new rap, back in the day it had a message, now a days it´s booty, party, bling GWAR and the likes, stop screamin dude!!!!
  13. Well Klipschers just a little report from the other side of the pond. On the 24-25th of April was the first annual "Klipschtreff" in Elze, Germany. 15 Hornheads came together to listen to speakers, converse and all and all be merry. The idea was born on 28 July 2009 from Horn Fan of the German Klipsch site and was made happen by rogerwilco82 (with the cornscalas) and Werner Enge the Klipsch guru here in Germany. Klipsch USA you can be proud of your longtime Salesman Werner Enge!!! Not only did he let us meet at his house, he and his wife Heike made us feel at home. We were met in the early afternoon at around 11:00 with Sekt (bubbly wine) or Orange juice and after a short hello and feel at home he let us loose on his equipment. Heike also made Canapés for us at lunch not wanting us to get weak from forgeting to eat! There were 2 rooms full of nice toys, room 1 has Cornwall and LaScala speakers run on Aaron pre and prower amps with Opera Audio Consonance CD player. We were able to swich between the Cornies and LaScala using the same equipment and hearing the same tunes. I myself have the F3´s and it was many years since I have heard a really good highend setup. Both sounded excelent! Although the Cornies dug deeper my personal oppinion was that they did not come close to the LaScala in accuracy. Yes apples to oranges but I´m just telling it like I see it. The second room was 60th anniversary Khorns and RF83´s. The RF´s were on Aaron pre and power amps while the Korns were on Sovereign Signature series pre and poweramps both using the above mentioned CD. After a while of listening in room 1 Werner fired up the RF83´s again using the same music we were listening to on the Cornwall and LaScala speakers. Although it sounded very good, well actually very very good, it somehow did not impress me like the change from Cornwall to LaScala. The sound was more direct and "focused" and I did not get the feeling that the sound was simply "flowing" out of the horns, unfortunately I can´t better discribe it. Now, you may think that the next step would be to fire up the Khorns??? Wrong Werner was keeping me on hot coals the entire day!!! What? We are not going to fire up the Khorns yet???!!!??? But look they are right there not 3 meters away from me!!! I can go over and touch them!!! Let it be known I have never heard the Khorns. 2 of our Brothers in arms own them, one stock and one "super" moded to OMG mode. They kept telling me just wait to you hear them with that impish look in their eye. At 14:00 I started to sound like Anthony Bourdaine when he was in Brittany asking "When do I get my Shellfish, When do I get my Shellfish??" I was chanting however "When do we hear the Khorns, When do we hear the Khorns??". At 15:30 I decided to try to ignore the urge and be happy with conversation and LaScala speakers. Around 16:00 the time has come!!! I run into the room knocking down people and rushing to get to the sweet spot. Ok actually I had been waiting there for the last 15 minutes or so. Soverign powered on, CD inserted.................4 takt later I looked around and we all had smiles on our faces like young boys who just got away with stealing cookies for the first time. The guy on the remote started to crank it and oh my it just got louder and louder and louder. Not one bit of distortion, never did it get muddy. The smiles got bigger and we were wondering how far over the 100db mark we were. I personally have never heard a better system, ever!!! If they are out there ok, but I would be in audio nirvana if I would have this system!!! Needless to say the rest of the evening was spent with the Khorn and good conversation. At 19:30 we all went to a Greek restaraunt and Werner handed out BS buttons and Coffie mugs rounding off the day excently! We broke off at around 23:45 and called it a night. Oops one thing I forgot to mention is that Mr.Thomas Hoehne from Aaron and Sovereign was there, he is a super guy and talked hifi, how he likes to design his amps and life in general. He also left us an Audiophile CD, Water wind and storm by checkfield from American Gramaphon records. If you have the scheckels for these amps they are worth every penny of it!!! Here is a link to his site http://www.hifi.net/ Once again Klipsch, you have a good rep here in Germany taking care of your companies name!!!
  14. Yes a customer bought me a cup, 15€ a shot. It does taste different since through the digestive process some of the bitterness is taken out. Also the roast is not as strong because of the lack of sugars. The customer did not tell me what it was though until I had the cup. He just told me it was "special" coffie. I would not drink it every day though.
  15. Last live performance with T-bone Wolke. Nice performance although they Destroyed Carribean Queen, but hey they are also only human. http://www.livefromdarylshouse.com/index.php?page=ep29 Next month will be a T-Bone tribute show, sad he is gone!
  16. As I was growing up I was always told that ain´t, is not a word. I think that language has gotten lazy. I was never good with language though, now that I speak German 80% of the time I have become illiterate in 2 languages.[:|] Does this bring extra points??
  17. Only to be used for Medicinal purposes. Now where was that funny looking clip with the feather on in??
  18. Good luck!! I had rotator cuff and tore ligament surgery around 14 years ago. The next day I had to mobilize it and after 2 weeks everything was fine again without pain. After that it was just building up strength again.
  19. Death no wait taxes...taxes!!!
  20. That just sent a shiver up and down my spine!!!
  21. That is Michelle Hunziker she came on the show not all that long ago, sort of like a counterpart to Gottschalk, that is the guy who moderates the show. Here is her web site http://www.michellehunziker.it/ dont forget your bib. We can discuss this down the rabbit hole Gen..[] This is also an entertainment show, the stars from 27 March were Shakira, Beth Dito, Anna Netrebko, Andrew Lloyd Webber,Emma Thompson, Maria Riesch, Hansi Hinterseer, Klaus Meine and the „Scorpions" and the „Hope für Oslo” Lena Meyer-Landruth with Stefan Raab. Klaus Meine lives here near Hannover in the Wedemark I used to live around a 1/4 of a mile away from him. Sometimes we would see him go shopping in his droptop Mercedes.
  22. The show wetten das (wanna bet) is prety big here 7,8 million people watched last month at the same time as the olympics and that was the worst turnout in history of the show. They always have obscure bets like this, some real extream and some just plain silly. Like hopping from one large trash can to another that are1,5 meters apart on a unicycle or a guy who can make a knot in 20 liccorice strings within 2 minuites only using his tounge. The guy on the unicycle lost his bet because he was nervous, they said he was hopping like a kangaroo in pratice. This guy with the liccorice won his bet though. Speaking German makes the tounge limber [], the Germans say we speak like we have potatoes in our mouth. It is a fun show.
  23. Hey BigStew, what meds are you taking? I had the same thing which started in November 09 and I feel for you! I went to the doc here and he prescribed a med called Pantozol, the medication in it is 20mg Pantoprazol. I take one after breakfast every morning and have been taking them for a month. After 2 days they kicked in and I have been without problems for a month now. As long as I dont hit the sauce to hard or eat real fatty everything is ok, if I know I will be sinning I have drops I can take, sab simplex (69,19mg Simeticon), and I have absolutely no problems. 4 months of stress and not bieng able to eat or drink what I wanted was a pain, not to mention not bieng able to sleep right due to the stomache pains and the feeling in my throat. I am sure you understand! Hope everyone else is doing well, it is a little to early to be drinking here now but tonight I will be drinking a nice 2008 Dirmsteiner Schwarzerde Grauer Burgunder from the Pfalz only 10€ but very nice. This will be served with an Argentienien Rib-Eye and small salad. The American Rib-Eyes are going for about 10€/lb. here the Argentienien around 4,50€/lb. Sometimes the cuts of "American" beef we get here would make a real American slap his butcher for offering something like that at that price, I guess we are getting the rejects.[] Prost...
