Overrun home renovation costs require me to sell the aforementioned speakers. I purchased the Cornwalls from GaryMD - maybe a month or so back - they are definitely 9/10 and probably one of the prettiest walnut veneer I have seen on any speaker. They also have updated DeanG crossovers (originals will also be included) - $900 (one could sell the original crossovers for maybe $100 and end up one of the most beautiful pair of Cornwalls with nearly $500 crossovers all for $800). I hate to sell these - I didn't even need them and I still purchased them from Gray solely because they are so beautiful (and also because Gary gave me a sweet deal). - $900 FIRM! Next, I have 3 professional Klipsch Heresys that I am using accross the front of my HT as LCR. - They are the ported version. I'd like $550 for these, At that price, I cannot imagine anyone finding a better home theater LCR. Please PM and E-mail if you are interested. I'm at work right now but will upload pictures later.

I'm only posting to say that Joseph Audio are my favorite speakers. Wish I could afford them. Owned a lot of Klipsch and JBL/Altec gear, but am a huge fan of Joseph Audio. I've attended Capital Audiofest three years in a row here in the DC area - they have close to 100+ speakers available for audition (Wilson Audio, Focal, B&W, etc. etc.)- for me - none can compare to Joseph Audio. The plan is to eventually sell everything and end up with Joseph Audio.

Can you post pictures of the "Snail Horns" - I know they are spoken for - but I'm just curious what they look like. Cheers, D

Haha - I know. Quite a few people have contacted me in regards to shipping. The thing is - the turntable is in absurdly good condition - it is mint - and I'm just too scared that something would happen to it in transit. If it wasn't is such a nice condition, I would have actually considered shipping. For now, I'm willing to be patient and am hoping that at this very fair price, someone will be willing to make arrangement for local pickup. Thanks.

Hi All, As most of you know, my buddy Gary gave me a fantastic deal on an amazing vintage system. There is no doubt that I will be making good use of my new Cornwalls and NOS Valves Scott, but I honestly have no use for a turntable - I don't even own any LPs [:$]. I've spent the last week and a half listening to the only three LP I currenly posses - which a dear friend so kindly let me borrow. And though in every respect the vinyl is sounding better than any of my digital souces, I just don't foresee myself stating the very costly and time consuming process of searching/purchasing LP. As Gary mentioned the turntable/arm has been fully rebuilt and has a $600 Zu-modified Denon cartridge on it with 40 or so hours (he even included the orignal receipt). Please note that the cartriage is a LOMC so a step-up would be required. Ideally, I would love to ask what Gary was asking for the turnable - $1,750 - but because I got just a fantastic deal on package - I'm happy to pass on some of the savings. Thus, I am willing to let the turntable go for $1,500 - with the only condition being that it absolutely has to be a local sale (I am in zip code 20904). I will not ship. Below is an excerpt from Gary's original thread: "This is the TD124 I put together a few years ago with the help of forum members Scott Anderson and Allan Songer. It has the SME 3009 Series II (the good one) and a Zu Modded Denon 103R. Sounds terrific. Needs nothing. Completely rebuilt and works perfectly. Probably 20 hours on the table and cart since the rebuild. $1750. Will split arm and cart if necessary but I'd rather sell as a package." See picture below (and trust me - the pictures do not do this turntable justice).

Just out of curiosity - what is the lowest frequency at which the Elliptrac can be crossed over at? Is it 400hz? I would like to try it in a couple different applications. I have a BMS 4592 Co-Ax Driver and wanted to know if I could try crossing it at 300Hz given that the driver is capable of handling it. I would also like to try on top of my JBL 4345 Studio Monitors - it which case, I would need it to play from 1,200hz to 10,000hz. Any thoughts?

I used my Nakamichi TA-4A with my Cornwalls for a really long time and absolutely loved that combination.

I can't say I've tried many - but I can honestly say that Juicy Music Merlin was one of my favorite preamps (I liked it more than its bigger brothers: The Peach & Blueberry). Too bad they never come up for sale!

Rudy, What plans were you using for your tapped horns? Do you use them while listening to music - of just for movies?

I think JBL does this in their higher end models. I build "charged-coupled" crossover for my JBL 4345 clones - (see below). I don't know if they sound better than the non-charged versions because I have never heard a non-charged version. I decided to build the charged couple versions sole based on the positive reviews I've read online.

Rudy, I have hear the Oris 150 , Oris 200, and Orphean - my personal preference was the Orphean. In any case, in the event you decide to "toss the horns" away, please make sure you "toss" them in my direction ;-)

I know I've said this before, but I have heard the Orphean System and I absolutely loved it. Definitely one of the best horn systems I have ever heard.

Joe, Do you still have the JBL 2245H? If so, try a pair of those under your Urei 813 ... I'll be shocked if you aren't pleased. Those drivers in a 8cu.ft. enclosure tuned to 26Hz or 12cu.ft enclosure tuned to 20hz. (with about 6db boost around tuning frequency) can be really musical. You may need to flip the 813 over to have the tweeter at ear level. Goodluck.
