  1. Out of curiosity, are you adding to your lot of speakers or upgrading?
  2. Yeah give Mike from ASD a call. I got all my Reference II speakers from him.
  3. Welcome to the forum PaulV! Be careful, depending how you look at it, this forum has either a good, or nasty habit of taking you way down down the speaker rabbit hole Very nice first HT system btw, your system is already leaps and bound ahead of anything the average Joe has.
  4. I'm a little late to this topic, but Genevieve I just wanted to express my condolences to you and your family. As many have said your father was a vital part of this community, and he'll be greatly missed. And welcome to the forum, you'll find many characters here, and many more who respected and cherished your dad.
  5. Thanks Schu! I'm sure its noisy on the floor, but from what you heard, how'd they sound?
  6. Is it just me just seeing things and hoping, but does the dark shadowy part of the tall cane color grill have a high end tweeter, mid range driver and three woofers?
  7. Likes others have said, it looks like this new Reference Premier is a move in the right direction, making some of Klipsch higher tier products more accessible to the masses which is awesome. Though I will also say I share a longing to see what might replace the RF-7 II slot, not that I will unload my 7 II's anytime soon, but the geeky speaker loving kid in me wants to know! Maybe sometime down the road this year
  8. Thx for clarifying. Honestly, it "appears" to be well designed as far as aethetics go. IMO, it looks like something that Klipsch could have produced.Yeah I thought that speaker looked like a chop Photoshop job.
  9. They just hired a wizard and he figured out how to cram a Jub into a pro-media desktop speaker =D
  10. I love the look of tri woofers. I wouldn't mind seeing that come back along with a 3-way design.
  11. Those look amazing man! I can't wait to see the finished product!
  12. I personally think that's more of lateral move. It is his subjective opinion, however, Youthman gave a good listen two both sets, give it a read!
  13. If you are able to find one for a decent price you'll be in for quite a treat! I am so pleased with the F8500, easily once calibrated, was one of the nicest pictures I've seen.
  14. No contest, si's are a true beast to behold. Wish I had two more =D
  15. Yeah me too, but they really have nothing on the Samsung 8500's. Pre/Amp: B&K Reference 50, Acurus A250 How do you like the B&K/Acurus combo? I have heard that the Reference 50 is one of the better midfi non HDMI pre/pros out there. Bill The B&K and the Acurus have been a very pleasing match. The previous owner had the B&K 50 serviced and updated to the latest firmware before I got that and the 200.7 from him. I've only messed with some of the settings on the Ref 50, but it sounds amazing. Only wish I was able to get the remote for it.
  16. Acoustic Sound Design is the way to go. Mike Embers runs that place, and he is a stand up guy. I would think the reason they take offers is because they are selling the "B-Stock" finishes of the Cherry and Black. If you look you can see those and the regular I would guess you call "A-stock" finishes and they are closer to the msrp. A side note I bought my entire RF-7 II setup from ASD with authorized Klipsch serial numbers that I was able to get verified with Klipsch.
  17. You wont be disappointed with the F8500! GLWS!
  18. Wish I could of been able to snag a VT or ZT60 before they went through the roof. However, I do very much love my F8500, with it calibrated its easily the best looking tv that I've owned.
  19. I built them. The drivers are from Stereo Integrity, and the cabs were pre cut specifically for the drivers from diysoundgroup.com
  20. A new version of the rsw-15 had been a hope of mine for awhile.
