So what happens if your amp or receiver can only go as low as 8 ohms and you have a speaker that goes below that? Does the the signal not get amplified properly at the frequency responses that dip too low for the amp? If it makes a difference in sound would it be noticeable to the average person?

Where are the wires hiding on those?

I just recently bought a pair of Sennheiser HD555s and I love them. My dad had Sennheiser's that I grew up listening to and they always sounded great. I like the big over the ear design because in Canada it gets cold and in the winter time they are perfect. These Sennheiser's I have a great for long periods of listening too, they never make my ears too warm. I use these headphones for music and games mostly and I am ashamed to say I prefer them over my Klipsch speakers for games.

I believe these are the same thing... A bit of a big read for some people like me. http://www.infinitysystems.com/home/technology/whitepapers/cmmd.pdf

Not a bad way to spend $3800 I guess... Thats what it would cost me here in Canada($.98 to the dollar right now) and thats not including power supply, disc drives, etc... I thought I was nuts to spend 2000 on mine. Edit: I see now that you are in Canada so exchange rate doesn't matter. -
Found this is your link -> http://crave.cnet.com/8301-1_105-9686804-1.html?part=rss&tag=feed&subj=Crave. This seems like a cool idea to me, probably doesn't sound so good though.

Do you happen to know what the Canadian MSRP might be? And when they will be available in Canada?

I was at London drugs about a week ago to audition the rsw-10d with the RF-82s and it was crazy. I think I had it two notches from minimum volume and I was worried the TV's in the other room where going to fall off the wall. As soon as I get the money for it I will buy it.

So how often do you tube guys have to replace those tubes? It looks like there's a lot of em on that preamp.

I see at least one sub there! Aren't you worried about rattling one of those beautiful speakers off?

I almost bought my RF-82s from London Drugs but I was able to score a good deal on some from a somewhat local home theater specialty store. I am gonna try to get the same deal on a rsw-10d because at 1600 canadian, it's too much and thats double what I paid for the 82s. I am curious....what's the MSRP on the rsw-10d in the states?

LOL that wig is horribly obvious and man she got fat!

More shipping costs? I know the exchange rate was at like $.94 recently so it's not all that.

Just got my new oppo DV-980H DVD player - WOW

Does the 980H have a Faroudja in it? I don't see it on the specs from oppo's website and I am thinking that is why it is cheaper. -
Nice truck strutter!

I bought a pair of RF-82s and a Denon AVR-2807 about two months ago now and it sounds awesome with Denon. I listen to mostly music, rock and classic rock in particular, and I love the sound. I found that having a subwoofer helps because you can never have enough bass I guess. I have never had a power conditioner but I don't see much of a need for them. I am happy with my sound and I am not willing to spend hundreds and maybe thousands on equipment that might not make a noticeable difference. -
LOL! I looked at the JL Audio Gotham g213 and its ridiculous. $11k and 360lbs holy cow. 3800 Watts, 2 13.5" Drivers. Looks purdy though.

There is some sort of dock that they plug into that plugs into the wall. I found the owners manual here -> http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/596/596AUR890.PDF

I had a similar problem when I bought my Denon. It turned out that in my subwoofer option I had it set to LFE and it was only sending the info of the LFE track form movies and such. When I changed it to LFE+Main it sent the LFE track as well as the low frequencies form the mains. This was only an issue when I had my fronts set to large.

The 890 doesn't use the normal infrared signal that the 880 uses. I think it some sort if radio signal but i'm not too sure. It lets you have longer distances and can go through walls and such. I also think you put a special sensor in front of your equipment too. Correct me if I am wrong.

I would use painters tape to make an imaginary screen because electrical tape might peel the paint and/or leave glue behind.
