  1. See some good possibilities there...good find and welcome to the forum...
  2. Saw him and daughters in the band in a local venue called the Moon in 2005. Played some famous hits. Went backstage and met his daughters and had a good time. Hank Wilson album one of my favorites he did: Well I got time for one more round and a, six-pack to go...RIP Leon...
  3. It may be worth your effort to power them with an SS amp of decent quality, just for comparison's sake. As poster above has stated, impedance variation maybe contributing to situation. Had the 500's and can see how your bracing has helped with cabinet resonance. Welcome to the active forum!
  4. Dang, if Nancy see a 6 pack of that in the fridge I am toast. Honey it is only a marketing label...lol Let us know how you find it Mark...
  5. May want to do a recording for us there Chuck...
  6. It costs me too much money to work...
  7. Just loaded some liquids and no fear of dehydration atm Dang looks like granny spring tonic season...early...cheers
  8. This last then maybe... When I would test drive a car at the auction, I would go where I could do figure fairly tight 8's which would test the CV joints/axles on both sides of car, being it will be front wheel drive. This let's me know how much to bid to replace joints. Can't have a customer coming back or breaking down somewhere for a job costing maybe $1-200 per side. Of course, people drive used cars everyday with bad cv joints for a bunch of miles. Listen for a clickety sound to check which side. Another one in the camp is the owners who like to time your coming to test listen/drive a car with higher mileage on the motor. They will crank the motor for a minute to shut up crank bearing, valves, etc. that can give themselves away easier on the first crank of the day before oil pressure is built. Advanced Auto and others sell Freon cans with a semi-foolproof gauge to recharge A/C. If you already know all this, please disregard Dude...
  9. Had an 90? Audi 4000 diesel that did me real well for a couple of years, a real road machine. Having had and been with a couple of used car salesmen(brothers), I was always driving something diff. at times.
  10. MKP is the man. Meanwhile, having a service list for maintenance is always great. Knowing when the timing belt was changed along with related pulleys would give me some peace of mind. Do not know the recc. mileage for those models but if an interference engine, all important there Dude...
  11. Difficult decisions but doable and yes, go big... as possible...lol
  12. Happy Thanksgiving... the blueberry like AKDave?...Sweet...
  13. Hard to follow all that food and well wishes without getting a bit hungry. Love Cajun and Smoked, just about anything. Got back here a couple of hours ago to find all 3 cats fast asleep. As I had a bite off of the list for a couple of Klipsch bookshelves and my newly acquired Rotel multi CD player, wanted to get the party some extra pics of units. Now am in Thanksgiving mode. To all the past well wishers I say thank you. Just had a bite to eat thanks to Jimmy Dean and when I feel the blues coming on, it is likely I have not had my listening level of music I grew up with. Streamed the Animals White Houses album on the RF-3's and am feeling alright. On weekends at much a tender age, would go to the beer getting place called Granny Blank's(editor)) where if you could be seen over the counter, you were legal. Then back to the House of the Rising Sun over the water. The StingRays were the regular band but, others played there like The Fugitives, The Colour Corporation, The Nightcrawlers and others. It is a timeless dose of music that makes me happy. Sorry as well to see the bus and kids killed and hurt. Drove a full size school bus back in my 20's for a private, school in Tallahassee. Getup before daylight and go to a town 20 miles away and pickup all along back roads finally arriving back to the city. Drove for a few months, and long enough to learn for myself the pitfalls that could occur if you did not have it together. It is a demanding job and drivers should be thoroughly vetted. Being a serious driver from the get-go, I wore my Bausch& Lomb Shooter sunglasses, which helped on many occasions. Guess they have stopped making it: https://send.com/product.php?id=143081&gclid=COyR1Yrxv9ACFdcYgQod6hUDRA
  14. Dang gremlins... Trump Vodka! Once invested in a stock DKAM. May be still around but they signed a deal for this designer vodka awhile back. I got out of the stock because they were signing unknowns like this Trump dude. Suppose to have been great vodka though... See ya'll tomorrow.
  15. Second that statement and good fortune and welcome here...
  16. Thanks Neil and thanks for the reminding me to look for my latest password here which I did not have on new computer there. Bet that is the problem. One of Nancy's nieces and her boyfriend have been doing some teaching in China for the past 5 years and come back once a year for a visit. There just has to be some attractions to a place so huge and vibrant an economy in recent times. Know BSM wrote the rules but I did pm Tarheel a couple of months ago that I was busy doing some stuff. Not that easy to run me off for good...yet. Thanks Carl! Like the bonfire. OT sees a witch.
  17. Fire looks nice and warm. Like a guy reminded me the other day, you can take off your clothes in hot weather and still be too hot, or you can bundle up for warmth in cold weather and stay warm enough, I choose cold after this last summer. Cool weather setting in this past weekend and I say high times. Spoke with Weber last Friday finding out he has maybe enough firewood and other cool things going on. Guess I should have been born farther north. Thanks for the call James and thanks for missing me a bit some of you. My other place in town has a different e-mail address so did not want to have to reactivate to that computer to respond to what have been reading here. Local strategy selling audio stuff not doing so swell at the moment. May have to post some items here again. So finally on my minimalist program. Do little, drink little, say little. Sortof goes with my knowing very little. Will be having Thanksgiving here with the cats later this week. So howdy for now then and: Was sorry to hear about Baxter's passing. Thanks Neil for the good wishes for the Thanksgiving week. No supercharger needed Tarheel and Vermont doing industrial hemp growing and watch out for non-FDA supplement company going public likely to fund a CBD oil with health claims that should do well. Could be a good revenue stream source. A source for some background generally is here: https://www.ruralvermont.org/issues-main/agricultural-hemp/ I-Hub has a good pot section with what is happening in the sector there Tarheel. Let me know if you should want/ need more specifics... Thanks and safe travels to you all!
  18. Ba, the billiysorry about the Carver...my kinda luck goat sounds like a big sucker... dang, what's wrong. Just popped a top/ Done all kindof things since Friday, wahed her Volvo, etc, etc, except a couple of etc...
  19. What breed is Baxter Chuck? Brother has had his Jack Russell ailing fairly recently. Bruiser is his name. In any case, hope they can help Baxter out. Best to you all!
  20. Not yet Chuck but have hovered around it without clicking. I will now upon your recc... Heard the other day when Neflix in the news it was a mainstay they created. After reading your previous post heated me a breakfast sandwich, Jimmy Dean, and say a lady inline at the grocer with a roll of Jimmy Dean maple sausage. May pass it up, but, going with your other recc,,, Steak! Nan may have to do a short shop on the way back tomorrow, Green Egg must do a good job, Even Jake has no complaints...
  21. Wonder what proof that is? On the hot scale will guess near the top. Bet a little goes a long way... Up early around daylight, early for me should say. 2 or 3 clocks will need adjust. Started watching a slow tv episode on Netflix and after watching now twice, am almost nearing the halfway point this morning with my coffee. Yes it is a long way from Bergen to Oslo by train and is abit boring at times, but works fairly well if boredom is what turns you on... Abit funny watching the captions for noise inside the carriage (woman laughs)(woman coughs) etc. (man laughs)...
  22. Spot on...not like Samsung could not use some good PR nowadays. Maybe OP will have a good conversation with the right person.
  23. Wonder if one of those craigslist dudes that fix broken TV's as they claim could fix it. The right one with enough experience. Just saying. Would be nice to find a board on e-bay for a song. Alright, I'll stop. Almost seems unacceptable to me that a set that newish has no remedy. Thanks!
