You mean besides buying them new from Bob Crites? $240 a pair isn't bad for woofers. http://www.critesspeakers.com/prices-other_stuff.html
  2. If $2500 is "fair market value" on the Belle's, then I'll just build a pair. I won't pay that...not worth it to me.
  3. I don't think there is a "correct" price. People are going to pay what they think something is worth based on how bad they want it/them. They aren't worth $3,000 to me. I can build them identical for a lot less than that with "upgrades" and have them look identical down to the emblems on the front (sans stickers on the back). They would sound the same as original, too. Or better. To build the cabinets, it's less than $200 worth of wood, glue, screws, cloth, etc....it's just time in doing it. Drivers can be had new and used. It's not rocket science for me to build cabinets. So, for me, I'm not going to spend a lot on a pair because it's just not that important. For what I've seen them go for through the years, $3000+ won't happen with me. But there's a buyer born every minute.
  4. I'd definitely drive a thousand miles for a pair 1/3rd to 1/2 his price versus driving an hour to pay it.
  5. The local "Klipsch Flipper" must've bought these to flip, as always, as there were/are two pairs on Little Rock CL now. Man, I just can't catch a break when something is close.
  6. I was worried there for a little bit I'd see them again for 4x the price on CL. Congrats to the new owner.
  7. Yeah, thought about that. I know it would be a pain for someone to have to lug these around but would be awesome.
  8. No doubt. Just a little closer...sigh.
  9. Anyone headed westerly anytime soon?
  10. About 900 miles from me.....dang!
  11. Well, if I didn't own CF-3's, I be all over these. Great deal for sure.
  12. Did anyone happen to see the price on the Belle's that were apparently listed on the Fayetteville, AR Craigslist about a week ago? The ad is already down but there were two pairs. Sheesh... I go a week without searching and that happens. Phil probably bought them and will triple the price. :-/
  13. I'm going to have one more of these and I think that's going to be it for the 630. I have a Bytespeed laptop that's set up and ready but I need to get the specifics on it.
  14. I've been using it a few years now...on MC20. Have no problems with it for music and movies.
  15. You seriously made 4 threads for the same topic? Hopefully someone will merge these.
  16. Those must've been the Belle's Phil had in Maumelle. Wow...a grand to ship? Wouldn't it have been easier to fly there, rent a van, and drive back?
  17. Good information. Thanks for the replies. So if one had access to a new pair of K-55-x's that are used in LaScala 2's, it's not worth the extra money versus finding something used and replacing diaphragms if that was needed?
  18. Is it worth it to search out the older version with the dual phase plug, I take it?
  19. So what K-55's are the newer LaScala 2's using? Solder lug or spring? Anyone know if they're the dual phase plug?
  20. You did the opposite of me; I went from 5+ years of iPhones to a Samsung Note 4 last spring. Man, I do NOT miss iTunes or that Ecosystem whatsoever. But, I still have to mess with 800 iPads, Macbook Pro's, and iMacs at the school district I'm at. Ugh...
