  1. Dude the stars look awesome, did you have to drill 800 different holes in the dry wall for each strand to come threw. I will have to youtube some install videos on that, seems like it could be alot of work.
  2. Oh that I understand I spent the whole day at work with nothing to do so I read between your 20 page build thread, and the one on avs forum. Its a good thing I have a 2 wheel cart at my house(which my wife couldn't understand at the time I bought that for moving speakers, huh now she does). But on its side would put it at 20" tall once I frame up to that height and add a piece of 3/4" under layment that will put me to 20 3/4" which I can divide by 3 and get close to 7" risers for the steps which is close to standard riser hight for stairs, so it wouldn't be to awkward stepping up. Dammit you guys will you let me finish one project before starting another. The only plus is my wife just thinks it part of finishing the basement off. Dave you better get to assembling that sub before I beet you to it and totally high jack your build thread into mine[].
  3. What is it like 20" or so, I was thinking a 10" step. But I will have to do a mock up when I get back into town next week. I built the table tuba long style, but I don't like how the mouth is on end instead of out the side like the f20. The danely dts 10 seems to be ideal for this thought, but way to much money for my liking.
  4. Looking forward to some pics. I think there was another forum member that Carl built one of these for. I was just doing a little reading on it on the avs forum. I wonder if someone could lay two of them down as a riser for a second row. of coarse the mouth/opening would have to face the rear of the riser or the front which ever would be better, and then frame around it so you could make your riser a little deeper for another row for a couch to fit on. How do you plan on powering it and equing it if any. Sounds like fun. Nick
  5. those evm 12l are what Zakk Wylde uses in his cabs. Just saying.
  6. I would think if the service was done right then the 2125 would be a no brainier. Thats just my opinion.
  7. I must also say that there are slight differences between the two cabs as one is only 1/2" thick material and the other is 3/4" thick. I only have one brass grill thingy that goes with them. No drivers just the mid horns. But I bet we could get them shipped to you for about 100.00 bucks or so, plus some packing material. Yes they would need a little work but for free what the heck.
  8. I have a pair of these you can have just a matter of getting them to you. http://www.saturdayaudio.com/picturepages/electro_voice_regency.htm those aren't mine the ones I have are black(i was just using the pic as reference). I started making baffles for a single 15. I have the original baffles and even a pair of mid horns to go with them.
  9. Radio shack offers a gold spade. You could replace the terminal strip to something like this. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=091-1246 or heres something similar on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/4PCS-CMC-858-LU-AG-Silver-Plate-Speaker-Binding-Posts-/320587510614?pt=US_Audio_Cables_Adapters&hash=item4aa4813356
  10. Is this the one with the rotating horn. There is a shop here that wires them up for guitar use. I couldn't speak for 2 channel. If you decide to try let us know what you think.
  11. Never mind I figured it out.
  12. So it could have the k-55-v or the k-55-m mid driver. Is that the 700 mid horn or will it more likely be a 701.
  13. I should say my main concern is the high and mid drivers/horns. If it has the e2 crossover what are the differences between the e's that the Heresy 1's have.
  14. Not to hijack but hey if were on the subject. I am looking at a deal to be made with another forum member, who offered a HIP for trade. He says it is black with metal trim, what drivers could this have. If I wanted it to be more like a Heresy 1, would it not be cost effective, or even not possible(which probably wouldn't if it is ported).
  15. No my Cornwalls are not verts, that is just the only Cornwall 1 they list in the archives. I was actually thinking of finding a beat up Heresy or building one from scratch to make a vert. out of, so I could lay it on its side for my center channel.
  16. Yea I plan on upgrading all my tweets to those once I have extra cash. I just have this thought in my head that they should be the same, in order to sound the same. I just wanted to try a Heresy 1 as a center to my Cornwalls, instead of a Academy. Nick
  17. http://www.klipsch.com/cornwall-floorstanding-speaker Well the pic is a vert. Don't know if that makes a difference.
  18. If both of them have the k-77 square magnets, why would one have a higher frequency then the other(well as far as the product archive goes).
  19. Ok you got me, I did as well with my Khorns(purchase before auditioning). You know I would with Jubs just as well(more of a money issue). Maybe someday when the theater room is all done and I have a major upgrade itch.
  20. Thats what I was thinking.
  21. Thats great news man, hope all is well.
  22. What the crap no one close by to Omaha, NE[^o)] And don't tell me this gives me a reason to go out and buy a pair.
