also just because the 35's are discontinued there is no problem in getting the current model speakers to complete your HT, re rc62 or even rc64 and the current rears, as long as they are timber matched you would be fine, timber matched meaning you stick with the same line of speakers, re reference with reference, heritage with heritage, etc etc Good luck

maybe the yamaha rx v663 - it is replaced by the 665 so you should be able to save some money, and it supports all the latest sound formats and is has pre outs to connect to external amp and it is what you know and used to. But - if you want to try other makes then the above has it all covered.

+1 - lucky i read this thread, as my avr (pre) does not support hdmi, so i am using optical as audio, no more switching ps3 settings from hdmi (tv) to optical..

I cant really help as of the 3 speakers you mentioned I have only heard the rc35, which i thought did a good job, one thing I strongly believe is that in home theatre try to get the best centre channel you can afford.

Cal is right, many here like their Denon and many Yammy.. and like he said we generally stick with what we know and trust.. Though it is good to go out of your comfort zone to see what something else can offer.. but easier said than done.

I don’t know – I like to give people the benefit of doubt if I don’t know the circumstances, the seller could be going through an unexpected emergency and the ebay item could be the last thing on the sellers mind at the moment. Does the seller have good ebay history..

islander, honestly i have no idea as they are not really available here.. or if they are they are very very hard to find. it is dificult to find a dealer who sells reference line and heritage line if you find a dealer you are expected to pay $$$$$$$$ so i guess the seller has taken that into consideration and thought that the rareaty is the justification of price. though he has written 'or best offer', he has also written that he/she has imported speakers themselfs to Aus.
