  1. Honestly I wouldn’t know, maybe seller has asked that price as any Klipsch heritage range speakers are very rare here and hardly ever offered, also seller has ‘best offer’ option as well
  2. Hi all, I have a chance of buying a pair of Klipsch Heresys 1970’s for around $1000 – I just don’t know.. I probably would need to change the caps on them like I have read in the past here, I wouldn’t even know where to begin on that. I will post pics as soon as I can but they are listed on ebay Australia.
  3. many thanks GLA - i will have to do some more testing first and if not happy i will contact the Doctor..
  4. Thanks for that wuzzzer, its good to know. I have ps3 so i will check it out tonight
  5. Soo, we have replaced the existing carpet where my HT and installed floorboards in its place.. well I have read here that the sound may reflects of the boards and therefore you may not hear the best results.. well my findings are thus far… I watched Harry Potter (one of the 6 movies. I think the first one) and it sounded great like it always did. No Big noticeable difference.. but this morning I was watching a bit of Lethal Weapon and my ears were ringing even at low volume, like around -35db.. though the movie is an old one so maybe the sound quality was not the best compare to Harry Potter and HP was on Bluray while Lethal Weapon was on dvd. Maybe I need to lay down a rug.. but I will need to do some more testing first..
  6. result wise it was Australia's best winter olympics.. GO CANADA!!!!!! []

    Thanks

sounds like you had a great day vnzbd. this sure is a great place with a lot of good people.. although i have never met anyone on this forum I feel that i have made many friends and learned lots and have had lots of laughs in the process..
  8. you are absolutly right.. when a deal like that comes along you have to take it.. as for the RB or RS35 i would just keep them both even if you are not using a pair they will eventually come in handy even if in a childs bedroom later down the road.. Congrats and enjoy...
  9. youthman - what are you doing [] the way you are going you are going to run out of wall and floor space.. [] congrats and nice speakers.. so what is your set up up to now is it 25.5 []
  10. fantastic looking room.. well done [Y]
  11. if you stick around here for a while you may find yourslef running out of money to spend but on a positive note at least you will have a great sounding system.. [] in all seriousness IMO buy the best speakers you can afford as it is the electronics that we seem to upgrade more often than not and it is the speakers that seem to stay.
  12. i run it then play on straight mode but also make minor adjustments here and there but nothing major re crossover to 60hz (my preference not at standard 80hz), speakers to small etc etc.. sub to +5db then i can change the sub level through sub volume if needed in different movies..
  13. Maybe even consider a used RC7 – it may save you money and it is a great centre speaker in the reference line. and like everyone said.. welcome.
  14. congratulations on your pics.. opps i mean HT set up
  15. very nice youthman.. looks great [Y]
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Klipsch-RF7-Tower-Speakers_W0QQitemZ270532332969QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Hi_Fi_Speakers?hash=item3efcfbcda9 I have not seen a pair of RF7 on Ebay in Australia for many many years, if ever.. this would be very interesting to see what they go for. Bailz - if you are not fishing somewhere in Brisbane - this would be something to consider for sure..
  17. you could be onto something here
  18. you could be onto something here
  19. Just a thought, the RC7 is rear ported if you put it in the cabinet and cabinet is closed at back the speaker may sound a bit boomy.
  20. thats fine, not all avr has the option to adjust crossover for all speakers, but you want your speakers to be at the same level and then you can adjust the db of a speaker if desired by using the test tone on avr. also set all your speakers to small on avr and on sub turn the crossover to max which is normally about 120hz, by doing this you are controlling the lfe re subwoofer by your avr which is 80hz which also is the correct standard setting.
  21. RF7’s sells themselves.. maybe seller is trying to prove this point,,, it wouldn’t be my style of advertising though.
  22. Like Dtel mentioned I believe the show would not have been the show that it was without him.. He will be missed for sure.
  23. dtel - totally agree, - as i believe its what sounds best to you that is in your budget - now that is the right choice.
  24. we appear to be in a mutiny.. who have we become.. i feel so ashamed.... [:$] "we are not who we are" - x-files
