  1. Yep, his money. So your thread crapping isn't required. Error on the side of caution is hardly thread crapping, and id look out for you the same. JD asks for remote shipping assistance and you reply with a Craigslist scam tutorial. Thread crapping in the first degree, man. Hey cupcake, you have NO idea what I see everyday, by the time im on scene, we(I) pick up the pieces. "Sheriff" so you see my perspective is a tad more on the defense side of things. Cupcake? Sheriff?! Did they give you a tin star or the plastic one? Are you riding in on a big white horse to save the day? Craigslist scammers beware!

  4. Straight from the horses mouth; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8GwEX7nn6o Becker, Fagen, and the session musicians talk about recording 'Aja'.
  5. It's the 99 remastered version. I would be hugely disappointed if the vinyl release out performed that CD! Heh heh... In your future music shopping journies try to find the Hoffman mastered issue. For ~$5.00 it won't break the bank. I have all three and the difference is quite audible.
  6. If I'm researching a potential purchase I sure do.
  7. That's a trademark of both their solo stuff and Steely Dan albums. A veritable who's who in music records and tours with them.
  8. Please tell me that's a typo. Becker & Fagen are both geniuses but 499.00?! Repost which AJA CD you receive. The '84 Steve Hoffman remaster is much better than the '99 Roger Nichols issue.
  9. I did that recently by modifying these $10 wedges; No measurements or Audyssey yet but the 'ear test' indicates a minor improvement. I have to hook up a recently purchased power amp before I use Audyssey to blend 'em in.

  11. If the offense is egregious enough and causes loss of funds (like Joe's situation) you're doing a huge disservice to any other buyer who deals with a crappy seller just to save your own precious feedback rating.
  12. Sorry you're having a less than ideal experiance with that seller, Joe. I'll echo the opinions of the responders who said to be honest about the deal with your feedback. You can say exactly what happened but do it in a diplomatic way. No name calling, cursing, or threats. Just the facts, man. Good luck.
  13. I used hot glue as well. Beware, those badges transfer heat really well! Guess I should have applied it to the cloth. Ooops!
  14. Schu - I boughtt a 28' Canare LV77S sub cable from BJC in '07 for $43.75.
  15. I don't but is it really that critical? A drop of hot glue has served me just fine on my Heresy & La Scala.
  16. Nice! We'll need pics if you do get them.
  17. Every morning. Bailey's, Carolans, or whatever is on sale at the packy that week.
  18. Apology accepted, Jeff. I'm set for air & screwdrivers so I'll do my best to find the time to open the amp up this weekend.
  19. I received this NAD amp from Jeff on Tuesday. The box looked OK externally. I've been super busy so I didn't get around to unboxing it until today. I'm going to diplomatically title these pics; How NOT To Pack Expensive Audio Gear For Shipping 1. Never put an open amp/AVR directly on top of packing peanuts. 2. Put the amp/AVR in a plasic bag/garbage bag first. 3. If possible double box the amp/AVR. This will prevent aforementioned packing peanuts from being jammed inside the cooling slots. My interconnects haven't been ordered yet so I will have time to open up this amp, remove the tiny pieces of styrofoam, and inspect for any damage. I hope you didn't received this amp shipped in this fashion from the person you purchased it from, Jeff.
