  1. Two, of course. [] Meet Blackie... ...and Blondie Evil fraternal twins.
  2. I feel confident in unanimous forum agreement that Klipsch is better than a Ford Taurus firing on only two cylinders. []
  3. All depends on how your receiver is set up. Let us suppose your sub's placement suits your listening position. In that event, you would not require so much volume from the sub for a satisfactory experience. If the position is not optimal then you might be tempted to increase the volume of the sub in order to get the desired volume at the listening position (other positions within the room would be louder). That may increase what you call 'boom' audible elsewhere as low frequencies travel quite well. I cannot recommend a Klipsch sub as I have little to no experience with them. However, what you are asking has no relationship to price. It has a relationship only to response curve and placement. If the sub's response is relatively flat then it is only related to placement.
  4. Yep, my wife says I like to stir the pot then just watch like i had nothing to do with it... You need this emoticon close to hand:
  5. Weird. I tested it last week and saw the post count going up. Today I tried it and the post count isn't changing at all. [:^)]
  6. Sounds similar to the reaction I got from him in the Heresy III thread last week. He did make one (ONE) useful observation in the short time here. Post count does increment with every post edit.. Test for post count edit increment - 396 Test for post count edit increment - 397
  7. And you have painted yourself as a well-practiced troll amassing the mother lode of insignificant contributions. Keep up the good work! Every forum needs deadweight like you to keep going and make everyone else look good. We so needed your insightful analysis and comprehensive summary of what you think of me personally instead of anything of actual value. Not. Back under the bridge with you, o arbitrator of quality participation and postcount comptroller! Something to wrap your troll mind around: every single edit counts as a post. My actual post count is not that high. If you don't like it...get a life. My, what a temper you have.
  8. You're doing a fine job of endearing yourself to the forum and convincing people that your views are worth reading. Keep up the good work.
  9. It's not a question of faulty...it's a question of inferior. It's like saying a stock mustang GT isn't improved when a Shelby GT 500 package is added. The stock caps are indeed, junk. They have a MEASURABLY high ESR, and can be more improved by a $2.68 cap than any given variety of electronic front ends. So, we do indeed have something. Never mind that I have modded them and gotten results. Maybe you need to break out an o'scope once in a while before you make such empty and pointless flat-earth declarations. We are talking measurable here, not some kind of snake oil that few can hear. Great way to crash and burn on your 1st post! Please go back to Audio Asylum, and stay there! Thanks! I thought Kristian nailed it. You make a lot of assertions but don't actually provide any evidence that the caps in the crossovers are poor. Just because they may have a wider tolerance doesn't mean they actually measure at the extremes of tolerance. Perhaps you should break out the o'scope and back up your own arguments. Show us the money. Qualifying your assertions as opinion only would not hurt. More importantly, you are not the font of all knowledge. You're not some messiah of Klipsch or electronics. Having been here but a few short weeks and amassed a large number of posts in such an abrasive style one does wonder if the order to leave you have given was one received by yourself at another forum.
  10. Just the factory finish cherry and walnut on current series Heritage.
  11. I'm looking to spruce up some cherry and walnut veneered lumps of joy. They are only a few years old. Any suggestions for a wipe on/wipe off or spray on/wipe off cleaner/protectant?
  12. I'm thinking 30' x 40'. Concrete slab floor. Corners would be cinder block construction about 6' from each corner leading to drywall to fill the gap. Could end up as completely cinder block. Walls 10' with vaulted ceiling along the long axis @ about 13' or 14' to the apex. Multiple opening but not necessary to consider as all will be able to be sealed. Consider the entire room sealed for the purposes of argument. Unsure of the most appropriate ceiling construction.
  13. Size of sub(s) isn't an issue. I'm thinking Danley DTS-10 or IB. Any thoughts there? It's a room yet to be built, so choices are endless.
  14. Near perfect. Mind you, a DD-18 would do that for anyone.
  15. Well, there's nothing like trying to rewrite the laws of physics. Good luck.
  16. I think that down that low one is only interested in feeling it, not hearing it. [H] Film. They definitely do. I've seen waterfall plots for some films which have 7Hz information. Black Hawk Down is a prime example. http://www.ultimateavmag.com/images/archivesart/1004way.waterfalls.jpg
  17. Pop out the plastic end plugs on the standard posts and you need do nothing further.
  18. There's really only one choice for single digit frequencies: http://www.rotarywoofer.com/index.htm
  19. There are some on the forum that might put such a list thus: Jubes Jubes Jubes Jubes Jubes Jubes Jubes Jubes Jubes Palladium. ...but that might just be the crazy folks.
  20. I subscribe to the scientific method. Hence, I use this for the Heritage HT. Don't see any reason to use anything more expensive. Earth wire doesn't get used. Suppose I could use two conductor for the same end result.
  21. Slide rule? You and your new fangled gadetry. 'round 'ere we only gots the good ol' abacus.
  22. Any of the DLS series Velodynes quoted will eat up any Klipsch sub for breakfast and ask for more. There's really no comparison in what you're asking.
  23. Yup. After a Heritage 5.1 with CWIIIs and HIIIs the next step for me is large. Jubes, baby. Jubes. Lots of Jubes. Be careful of falling into the same wants and desires.........

From what I've read, the quality is similar. However, when compared to Julilees it's a case of more of the same. i.e. the Jubilee produces what the Palladium can but it's just 'bigger'. I don't know if it's able to be quantified but it would appear that there is a far better auditory envelopment from the Jubilees than the Palladium. However, that's hardly surprising considering the form factors.
