  1. Well, I guess the amp will just have to sit around unused......Maybe I can trade it???
  2. http://www.e-audio.net/servlet/the-12/Music-Angel-MINIP1-6P1/Detail. I bought this little amp about a year and a half ago from a great guy who also sold me a pair of La Scalas, Cornwalls and Chorus. Wanting to get into that sound and feel of a valve amp I bought it fairly cheap. Its has a real nice sound but offers very little bass. I know its not the best looking amp but I wanted to try it. Because of the lack of bass it has a real bright sound.......so now I almost never use it. Being the fact that it is a cheap tube amp I understand if there is nothing I can really do but, I thought about rolling in different tubes hoping to get more bass. If any of you have any suggestions I would really appreciate it.
  3. I was going to post a topic and ask how some of you store/display your Lps......I just want some way of keeping my vinyl safe, dry and off the floor but, I want to show them off a little bit. Maybe I will look into this ikea thing.
  4. I like the idea of refinishing the the grill cloth. I felt the same about my Chorus II's (looks kinda cheap). I had the chance to buy a pair of Forte II's for $400 and passed them up......now im interested to see how you like them.
  5. Great pics guys. Would love to have those "warm up" one of my rooms;)
  6. Have a drink and listen to Red House Painters "Songs for a blue guitar" on vinyl if you can. It will blow you away.
  7. If I buy the Khorns, is there anything I should look for besides obvious damage and matching #'s. From what I know they have been sitting around unused under a sheet and In a garage. Its been cold as hell(oxymoron I know) here. I just want to make a good purchase and I know pairs come up for sale more than I would expect.
  8. Both sets are from 1985 with walnut finish. My concern with the Khorns is proper placement. My Corns and LSs just sound amazing but, where I would like to place the Khorns just might not due them the justice they deserve. I am kinda leaning toward the Bells....they both are so beautiful. I don't "need" another pair of speakers but, for $1500 and just to have the Belles would be pretty great.
  9. I have a chance to purchase a nice set of one or the other. Khorns might need more space than I have and, I already own La Scalas and from what I've heard is that Belles sound a lot like LSs......any thoughts?
  10. Atta boy on the new H3s. There is just something amazing about the Heritage series.
  11. I would love to come have a listen and a drink!
  12. Im just gonna say i, SNow sucks!!! After living in Phoenix and moving to Salt lake im over it.
  13. I still have not figured out(or cared) to learn how to paste other comments properly.
  14. Maron Horonzak: After a couple of drinks,,, Put high heels a couple of ear rings,,some lipstick,,, and in the morning don't give her your phone number..... ever.... God you guys are funny!
  15. kaiser SET say I am a vw technician, so I know a little bit about the above pic. That little GTI could be fun!
  16. tigerwoodKhorns thats a great pic! I look like that every night when I get home from work.
  17. You guys are pretty funny with some of your comments! Being only 29 there is a lot of stuff that went down in the 70's that Im clueless about. Its great to see pics and learn more about what was probably a good time period.
  18. For a while I thought about collecting but now having 4 or 5 receivers around and switching them around every few months im out of room. I need Khorns!!! Not a guess room.
  19. tonysly, Thanks for the offer! I've got everything working great so far. The only thing I still need to mess with is the microphone thing and dial in my set up that way. Its good to know that the klipsch family is there in time of help. It would also be nice to hear your set up, those 2 rsw 15's have to hit hard.
  20. tigerwoodKhorns you would be correct on that. mdbrien, the local shop is called Randy's records in salt lake. Great old store, and Randy really know his stuff. Google it and see what you can find out, if not let me know and we can work something out. I would be glad to help.
  21. A great local record store owner and I had a good talk about what to use. But spending $40+ for a 3oz bottle is a waste. Local record store owner mixes up is own solution and when I used it on Lps that I thought were clean I was amazed. A 20Fl oz bottle was $9.00. Maybe that might be the best bet for some of you?
  22. Pronex, I know exactly what you mean about the bite. Im hooked too. Good choice on the 12" sub, that will be my next purchase. I also put my new set up to the test the other night with the release of the Dark knight. Its nice to stay at home and play it loud.
  23. Groomlakearea51, thats so funny! Man I felt the same way. Being a mechanic and always reading wiring diagrams and figuring out crazy electrical problems you would think hooking up a new AVR would be easy. That stuff will drive you to drinking fast.
