    .

have had my head down while building a new house (almost done) and focusing on a career pivot, but I’m always around and watching.
  2. about to finish my house build, so even a friendly discount from that msrp will be unreachable for the time being. Good info though, thanks, and I’ll just continue to be happy with what I’ve got
  3. What should one expect to pay for a pair of SH's on the used market, and where does one search? I rarely see them in the wild. These are the only thing I'd conceivably buy to supplant my LS bass bins + AMT's.

Hey man, not regularly but certainly as part of my own chemistry and some cycles I go through. Shoot me a PM if you just want to talk or bounce around some ideas to move forward.
  5. Bump. Open to trades for Denon/Marantz AVR's that support 4k + HDR10 and a minimum of proper stereo pre-outs. Never should have sold my X3400h.
  6. Bought this for a specific use case, which has since changed. Works great, includes all accessories but lacks the original box. All miniDSP and dirac licenses transferable once the device is received and SN provided to miniDSP support. Will include a 2ft AES cable made of Mogami 3080 Wire and Neutrik NC3MXX-B & NC3FXX-B Gold XLR Plugs. https://www.minidsp.com/products/streaming-hd-series/shd-studio $725 shipped and paypal'd in the CONUS
  7. I picked up one of these off Facebook marketplace last night. Not sure they ever used it, looks and sits like brand new. Paid half of MSRP for it. https://www.keeksdesign.com/product/emma-lounge-chair-and-ottoman-light-brown-walnut/?fbclid=IwAR039x3vvybiQpHtAPsRk2Z7V-4qOYOyNKlYWgN-hyNQ9xx14PIxUZKdMo4 it’s supposedly the other brand that’s of the same caliber as the aforementioned iconic chair. I have never personally seen nor sat in an authentic one. Which means I'm not burdened by any disappointment through comparison. As far as $1600 msrp pieces of furniture go, it seems well built, quality materials, looks good, and is plenty comfy with initial sitting. Nice leather. Pleasant recline, feels sturdy even with my fat ***. The cushion compresses but doesn't bottom out. Head rest comes up to about the nape of my neck (I’m 5’11”), which might be a little short for long term tv watching or something. But for long term head phone listening i think it'll be just right. 100% about the style and wanting a comfortable and quality piece of furniture. Don't care about having the brand name or the humble brag rights of ownership.
  8. Ah yes, the rare "export" version of LS BB.
  9. Plugged into my janky OEM truck radio or pool side, absolutely couldn't care. but yes.
  10. What ability? You can buy DRM free albums from Qobuz in several formats and store locally, yes. You can also take advantage of the Roon partnership and anything you "favorite" with the service will appear inline with your library. There's also the ability to browse Qobuz curated playlists, search for albums/artists, etc directly within Roon. The only time I use a Qobuz app is when I'm mobile.
  11. I use Qobuz, and hi-res counts for anything 24/96 or higher. Tidal does similar, but largely locks "hi-res" streaming behind the MQA wrapper in order to prop up that pile of hot garbage every hates, but the industry insists on trying to keep alive.
  12. Yeah? For all that next-gen gaming you do, eh?
  13. I'm using ROON + Qobuz. Pretty solid multi-endpoint solution. It's probably the highest end music software solution from a cost perspective, but I find all of the free/cheap/open source options lacking in one way or another. Eventually I'll pay for the lifetime subscription.
  14. This is the crucial bit of the problem. I assumed the music was on an internal drive. You should be good to go now, for sure.
  15. Files limited to 4gb or smaller, but supports up to 16tb partitions. Windows limits fat32 to 2tb partitions artificially, but is supported from xp to win10 at that size. Maybe try a different usb port @Coytee? If you're going through a hub, try connecting directly to the pc. Try a different computer all together.
  16. Can you speak to the provenance of the pair he bought, now up for auction? Or if he has indeed passed?
  17. Yup agreed, good eyes.
  18. Looks like components for two jubes in this pic. Any idea who this is? Lots of Klipsch and pro audio stuff, have to imagine they were a forum member at some point.
  19. It is, which is where tall towers come into play. The one on my property is 110ft.
  20. AT&T will decide where and how best to extend the fiber. Without the incentive of a neigborhood's worth of customers, you're probably looking at 10's of thousands of dollars for them to do so, and a multi-year commitment. You could negotiate with your neighbor to setup a shack and a tower, have AT&T light it up at the existing point, and then a second tower at your place, with WISP radio gear in between. I piggy back on my brother-in-law's WISP network in exchange for hosting a tower and some gear, and I easily get 350Mbps or more. The only issue is heavy rain, or weather events knocking the radios out of alignment. You still looking at a hefty expense, but it might only be a fraction of what pulling fiber straight to your house would be.
  21. If you ever need some 1099 effort with your backups- shoot me a message. I recently pivoted to the security side of the house, but I've got about 7+ years with Veeam and 2-3 years with Zerto as a backup admin in vmware and hyper-v environments, managing about 2000 endpoints.
  22. In case it wasn't abundantly clear, this would be a perfect little device for storing a music library.
