  1. Go to Your Klipsch dealership and listen. Any Kliopsch speaker is miles above the rest. Get the best you can afford. As far as Subs go remember that there is very little music content below 50hz unless you are listening to pipe organ music. In my opinion subwoofers are a passing phase and muddy the sound. Gut wrenching bass is impressing but not very musical.
  2. This is not a parody. It's reggaae covers of DSOTM
  3. 1."The Last Waltz"-The Band 2. "Hard Day's Night"-The BeaTles 3. "Rattle And Hum"-U2 4. "Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii"
  4. Try The Heresys without the sub. I've never heard a system using a sub-woofer that didn't sound muddy and un-natural,even in a Klipsch dealership.
  5. "Dub Side Of The Moon is a Reggae version of The Pink Floyd classic. It's by Easy Star All-Stars. This is a must have for anybody who likes Pink Floyd and Reggae. There is really no way to describe this piece. There is echoes, delays, channel panning and pulsating rhythms. My LaScalas were "doncin'Mon"! I heard about this one on Public Radio and ended my search for this one yesterday. It's not monumental but it's far more than a novelty recording.
  6. I too use LaScalas for my band's PA system and DJ work. I use a 125 watt per channel amp. It's really LOUD! Just wondering wy You would want to use so much power?
  7. On Saturday nights my local Public Radio station broadcasts a program called "Red River Radio". I was wondering if this is local or national. This is an excellent show that focuses on Adult Aternative and Roots music.I live in the Shreveport-Texarkana area. Does anyone else listen to this show? If not check it out for enlightening programs.
  8. I have LaScalas for front and Heresys for rears. I have a RC3 for center. I know Klipsch suggests LaScala for center. The RC3 performs just fine for my ears. I have never seen any pics of an Academy. Could someone post a pic? In Your opinion would I be Happier with an Academy?
  9. After years of waiting I found Pink Floyd At Pompeii yesterday! This is Pink Floyd at there peak IMHO. No giant commercial hits here. It's just four young guys doing what they did best. After seeing this one realizes that they are trully yhe pioneers of Space Music. It has the original 1973 release and a director's cut which was done in 2001. Waiting for the remnants of Pink Floyd to release Delicate Sound Of Thunder and Pulse.

    The Who

Just got "The Kids Are Alright"DVD. This is some great stuff. Interveiws,Live Performances, and Promo videos. Never saw them live but this is a great"Substitute"! Their reords have never shown the extraordinary lead guitar talents of Pete Townsend. Keith Moon is hilarious. Trully a must have!

    Matrix Reloaded

Watched it last night! Gut still quivering from bass. Loved the "drums" track in the Zion scene!
  12. Only in "Collyfornia" would they elect someone who looks like King Kong and talks like Henrey Kisinger!
  13. Greetings from North Louisiana! The Iquanas ROCK!!!!!!!!
  14. If background music for entertaining guest is your intention you could place them as they are in your diagram and run them in mono. If critical listening is important place them on the same wall facing your listening position. Outdoors when visiting or entertaining stereo imaging and seperation is not important.
  15. Don't worry about your TV if some channels are good and some are bad. The problem is the broadcasters. Some spend more for quality than others. I have Dish Network and the difference between broadcaster's quality is mind boggeling.
  16. I have the IMAX release of "The Mysteries Of Egypt". It is in 4:3. I have a 57" wide screen Toshiba. It has silver bars on the sides for 4:3 images. If I use CinemaII to fill the screen up the pixils are enlarged so there is a loss of definition. I hate these silver bars and would have bought a different brand in order to have black bars. I hang curtains over them.
  17. Just found a personal message referring to my impulsive post back in April of this year. I was in a tirate and out of control. This forum has no place for this. I do not hate Republicans. I do hate war but I am deeply and sicerely sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings. I will refrain from venting my anger toward people who mean me no harm. Please forgive me.
  18. Some movies are letterboxed for 4:3 TVs. Ihave a 16:9. When used in the full screen mode they are stretched. This is really annoying to buy a 16:9 and have to use Cinema2. This fills the screen but the res. goes south. Titanic,The Horse Whisperer, and wing Commander comes to mind.
  19. Just curious, anyone here do CFS2?
  20. I have "Keys To Ascention". I like this concert a lot. Is "Symphonic Yes" as good? I've seen it in store, thought about buying, but I've found through years of listening to Yes,that they are great or awful depending on the show. Should I buy it?
  21. SCOOTERDOG,Thanks for the info on Pompeii! I've worn out my VHS copy. This was trully Pink Floyd at their best. They sort of lost track of what they were doing with the release of TDSOTM. I liked them better before they became "commercial".
  22. Is this "THe Wall In Berlin"? It's a new DVD release. Just got it. I've had the VHS for years and replaced it with DVD. This is Waters' second DVD release. I wonder when whats left of Pink Floyd will release some shows? Would love to see "LIve At Pompeii". This was Pink Floyd At their peak!
