  1. If you remember those beers, you must also remember the great taste of JAX beer, out of New Orleans.
  2. I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis. Stay thirsty, my friends.
  3. The vinyl version of Al Di Meola's "Elegant Gypsy" is a must.
  4. It's a cool 101 in our part of Texas today and will be again tomorrow. Cold cerveza is in order for this evening, with the pool ready to go. My best to all... Come on over for a dip, whenever you are ready.

    SUBWOOFER

Simon may also ask, why the heck do you need another sub?
  6. I'm with the guy's that recommend the RF 82. Excellent choice...
  7. Thanks for a great story Glenn. My daughter, when she was in school, worked for Chuck E. Cheese. She was responsible for entertaining large groups that came for birthday parties, etc... Klipsch was the company of choice for speakers at her store, also. Darn, if that mechanical band didn't sound good.
  8. Well, due to last nights "Gentleman Jack" overindulgence, it's a Bloody Mary morning, today. I'll be back on track, in a while.
  9. All are welcome... please bring snacks...
  10. I've used standard sub connectors before (the Y or split type) and I was never disappointed. If you have been pleased in the past, I would see no reason to spend the extra cash on the more expensive type. IMHO...
  11. It always make you feel much better when, not only the show is good, but you also have the opportunity to enjoy it with your children; in this case your son. I've seen 90% more concerts, in the last 10 years, with my family, than I did when I was younger and I enjoy it more now. We had the opportunity to see Keith Emerson and Greg Lake when they came to Dallas a month or two back. The venue as small and perfect for their show. Glad you had a great time at your outing.
  12. In 3 minutes it will be Miller Time here. On vacation, so its Gentleman Jack tonight, with lots of great LP's on the playlist. My best to all.... I'll hold a seat for anyone that can put up with my cigar.
  13. On vacation... Gentleman Jack tonight..straight up. Cheers to all...
  14. darn... I was impressed.. I thought you knew something we didn't....
  15. I agree with your choice of Moving Pictures. Excellent engineering... oh, by the way, go Horn's. TXEX
  16. Great Idea for something different... I really have enjoyed the LP that Norah Jones put out last year. Excellent recording, latest recording techonolgy for vinyl.. (I'm a regular with RTM, therefore I have a picture to share) Norah Jones THE FALL 2009
  17. laager, Batmans' Robin is gone and banished from the forums, let's leave it that way!! Roger lol...several times...
  18. A quality vintage Marantz reciever can be an excellent match, with most Klipsch speakers. I have used my Marantz 2275 with a pair of vintage Belles and the result was excellent. I am a believer that Marantz has a certain warmth in its sound that is hard to find in other receivers.
  19. I would grab the MC 2505 at $500 (in good condition) w/wood case regardless of how I planned to use it. It is generally going for $610 (w/o the case). If you don't employ it into your system, you could sell it yourself or trade up.
  20. I agree here. Poor performance below 30Hz will leave you unsatisfied in the end, if you want the true HT experience.
  21. Nice looking music room....
  22. Congratulations on having a Fisher 500C tube receiver to start your setup.
  23. I'm very sad to hear of your loss. What a great picture with which to remember him.
