  1. Sometimes these are the best finds of all! So Boxx. Are you saying the Sandy Nelson LP is worth having? Or the cover looks like it cold have potential anyway. p.s. Congratulations on the Palladiums. I (almost) drool when I see your avatar or Right This Minute posts - OK I probably have drooled with some of those with the Palladiums in the background drop dead georgous and amazing sounding speakers. As are Klilpschorns and ... ... The cover makes me think it has potential...you sometimes never really know unitl you spin the lp on your turntable. Thanks for the nice comments on the Palladiums. They are more than I could have ever expected them to be.
  2. Thanks for the heads up.... Keep Austin Weird! I'll check them out...
  3. There are alot more setup's out there, like this one, than you would suspect. It takes time to find them, but they are there.

    Pink Floyd DVD

I agree. Nice packaging with both CD and DVD included. The engineering is outstanding...
  5. The best football movie hasn't been made yet. However, I did enjoy Invincible, with Mark Wahlberg.

    The Blind Side

Excellent movie. The actor that played the role of the younger brother, almost steals the show.

    War Movies

Really enjoying The Pacific as it is being shown one hour at a time.
  8. Slab foundation home; most tt problems are solved quickly... However, building a home, to solve your tt issues can be expensive.
  9. I agree. The popularity of tube amps and the rediscovery of vinyl, both, have played an important part in this trend.
  10. I have used extensions in the past with no problems. What about your ground wire? Any changes with it?
  11. I'm going to the antique market today. There will be several record dealers there. Does this count?

    bi-wiring

Not worth the time and effort, IMHO...
  13. I just received an order of Mobile Fidelity Original Master Sleeves (from Sleeve City). I'm very pleased with them.
  14. I've seen Roger twice and both shows were outstanding. Depending on the venue, I may go see this one, if it comes my way.
  15. Was going to say that one as well but it was said earlier. Gibby Haynes father was a Dallas, TX, children's TV star (for over 30 years) called Mr. Peppermint. Go figure!
  16. Thanks for the heads up. I was able to ****** up two tickets for the 4/30 show. The Granada is a great venue.
  17. One of my favorites. I would go see them if they came anywhere close to north Texas.
  18. I've had a pair set up for about two weeks. I could not be more pleased.
  19. On many occasions, when I had my "Belles" in my large listening room, I noticed this same effect. Many times I would play a mono album, without realizing it was mono and being astonished with the sound quality. Only then to be surprised to see that it was not a stereo album. Now that I have the "Belles" set up in my study, with a Fisher 500C, I am considering hooking up a center speaker to see what the effect is. I see no pre-senile dementia here, yet!!
  20. I went from a very large room with my 85 Belles to a smaller home office room. I now power them with a Fisher 500C and I could not be more pleased.
  21. Welcome to the group. Your set up is excellent. I'm using my Fisher 500C (tube) receiver with a pair of 85 Belles and could not be more pleased.
  22. Dennie, This is an excellent idea... Some assembly required... lol
  23. Very nice... I would be interested to see how he employs it.
  24. Sometimes these are the best finds of all!
