Bundle up, looks like its going to be chilly! Travel safe. I'll actually be out of town this weekend, but if everything works as expected, I might be 1 step closer to knowing if I need a smaller set of Heritage or not.

Or surrounds or a center for a heritage system! Hmmm....

Separate HT and 2 channel system with 1 set of speakers?
amheck replied to amheck's topic in General Klipsch Info
Found out about HT bypass. Reading up on that now -
Just thinking ahead.... I currently have a 5 channel HT system setup with Rf7, etc. I'm planning to add in some heritage speakers and a tube Amp. 2 routes I see you can go. One, you can add the 2nd 2 channel setup alongside the first, 2 totally separate and distinct systems. I think I can figure out that part. As long as you have the space, I think this would work OK. However, if I wanted to go down to 1 set of speakers, is there a quality A/B switch box that would somehow allow a HT Avr and 2 channel tube Amp to live harmoniously with 1 of speakers?

I researched a while ago and at that time the warranty didn't transfer unless you sent it in for a look over. Not sounding good with La scala though... Most say they do. Interesting.

December bump. Have some time off this holiday season and would love to purchase some speakers. Willing to travel somewhat for the right speakers.

What sort of vehicle did the buyer use to transport?

Would it makes sense to make this a sticky thread? Maybe itd help out some others. I, too, will hopefully be shopping for a single Heresy soon if I can get my L/R worked out soon.

I msg'd him about the $4000 heresys and asked if he didn't mean $400. He replied with some justification that they were worth that much and then deleted the add. Weird

what's the scam with these? You can never seem them in person? And they wait for someone to send them money to hold them or have them shipped or something?

For your set?

unfortunately that's easier said than done!!

Seller has a couple positive transactions but I suppose those are easy enough to fake. And the price is low but not crazy stupid. These dacs started at around 700-750 i believe and have now crept up to 1250. So if he was one of the early buyers, his price would be reasonable for used. But I think some sellers are riding on the price increases possible selling used for more then they paid initially new. But like you said, I want (need?) new speakers more and need amplification too, so not going to mess with this deal with the flags popping up.

Yeah, that seems like the obvious answer. I'm just not sure why any seller would do that. I certainly wouldn't. This, along with the strangely low price, just got me wondering, that's all.

I'm merely asking for an opinion. You in a bad mood tonight?

Most of the time I've seen sellers pass along the 3% fee to the buyer. Assuming that's what you are referring to. In either case, PP is the method that US Audio Matt recommends for buyers to use

Hoping to put together a nice 2 channel system. One of the items I would like to try is a DAC in between a bluesound node and tube Amp. Been keeping my eye out for a Black Ice Glass FX DAC Wifi and one popped up on US Audio Mart for a pretty nice price (lower than most others I've seen listed) Talked to the seller back and forth and everything seems generally OK until I asked about using PayPal and they offered to send out the item with just a pic of a money order. Might be a totally nice guy but that seems strange to me.

Wow, I did not know that. That doesn't seem like all that long ago, really.
