  1. Good for you Amy!!!! Congratulations!!!!!! You certainly deserve it!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I have the m504 p304 combo and I agree with your impressions, this amp does not add a lot to the mix, top to bottom it is very clean, neutral and pretty well balanced. It can be on the bright side and good recordings are a must. I do like that with the p304 it is extremely quiet with no noticeable crosstalk. I read a lot of reveiws before I purchased mine on audio reveiw.com and I think most people love these units. Maybe it's the meters??? They sure are nice looking units. I have wondered if the models above the 504 are voiced the same??? I tried a yamaha M-60 with a carver c-2 and was pleasently surprised, nice tight bass, very little grain, surprisingly good imaging and depth. When I hooked up the C-2 to the 504 something sounded very off. Yamaha seems to make some nice amps!!!
  3. Good for you Wuzzer!!!!!! Someone around here says enjoy the ride!!!!! I will keep an eye out for you for some nice kg's..........
  4. My 4 year old loves it,he asks to hear it everyday! Thanks for the info!!!!
  5. Rick88, so sorry for your loss, remember the good things!!!!!
  6. If anyone knows of a qualified tube amp restoration service in the minnesota area, I would love some info about them? I have spent some time looking for tube technicians with very little luck! So odd that repairs like this were the order of the day just a few decades ago and now........... Thanks any direction would be great!!!!!
  7. Great build thread!!!! So much fun to see these builds, keep the pictures coming[8-|]!!!!
  8. Thanks for the info!!!!! I pulled the amp and pre. It is infact a sa-260 and it is big, gold, and beautiful !!!! Lucked out there are also 8 jensen speakers inside and a host of telefunkins. This tube stuff is fun!!!!!
  9. Thanks for the advice!!! I think I will have a tube tech rework the pre and amp before I turn it on! Definitely a good idea. Lots of capacitors need to be replaced before you put it into regular use. It's a great amp, with lots of power, so I'm sure you will enjoy it tremendously! Post or email if you need any info or advice........ Thanks for the help and assistance!!! I know very little about tube amps, awhile back I read about the sp 210 and how good it may be, and then found this console with a 210, as far as the power amp there is very info on the sa-260.
  10. Thanks for the advice!!! I think I will have a tube tech rework the pre and amp before I turn it on!
  11. Don't have any proof yet but here are the pictures. Counting up the tubes and comparing the amp to ones on the net the configurations are the same.
  12. Looking through craigslist I found a Pilot console for 450.00 it has what appears to be a fairly rare sa-260 amp, sp 210 preamp, tuner, and phonograph and is in mint condition cosmetically. The amp iron is very impressive looking to say the least. Also It is so ugly I wont feel bad taking it apart. The previous owner says it works fine!! I cant wait to hear it!!!!
  13. This is great news for racing! Until the rest of the world catches up with America's love of cars running in circles and crashing into eachother, Maybe until then, our country may find an appreciation for the pinnacle of cars racing on pavement. Can you imagine? from 0 to 100 and back to 0 in less than 5 seconds!
  14. Good for you Greg! and congradulations for taking a design one step further!!!
  15. Please, tell me this isn't the rapture! and is a pair of jubilees! J.B. you are up to bat!
  16. Very cool event!!! Please take pictures, and give us your thoughts.
  17. This is very sad, I dont think cars that have open cockpits, and cruise in excess of 220 mph's should be racing in a bowl! There is just to little time to react and the corners are way to close together for these speeds. I feel very sorry for his family.
  18. I have a friend who needs some work on a vintage pioneer receiver, does anyone know of a tech in this part of the coutry? Thanks
