  1. Anybody local want to help a guy out?!? Drooling right now. I'll pay the shipping...
  2. Troy, you and your room are ideal candidates for a SVS cylinder sub. Save up and get a SVS Plus or Ultra cylinder sub and never look back.
  3. Looks killer youthman! I would lower the center art piece down a little though:)
  4. The AVR you are currently using is what I would call an entry AVR. I would step up to a Pioneer SC-65, SC-1522k or a Onkyo NR818. These are the three receivers I am currently considering. I started with a Pioneer 1022k and didn't like the sound so I upgraded to the SC-35 and it made a HUGE difference with the I.C.E. amps and really woke my system up. I later added a Emotiva XPA-5 and noticed more "oomph" but it wasn't a night and day difference like going from an entry receiver to a "top shelf" receiver. What is your budget?
  5. What a killer deal!! I just sold mine on Thursday for $750 and it only took 15mins. I would wish you good luck but you won't need and:)
  6. Beautiful setup! I love my 63's, they are fantastic speakers. Are those dual JTR Captivator S2's!?!
  7. Congrats on the new speakers. They look like they are in fantastic shape.
  8. Put my XPA-5 up for sale just to "test the waters" and it sold for $750 in 15mins(I bought it for $799 a few months ago)!! I have seller's remorse but it was cool to see how happy the new owner is. He was drooling all ofer my Rythmik haha. So now I need a receiver with lots of power and great video. I might order the Onkyo 818 tonight but we will see. Oh, the reason that the XPA-5 went is that I am probably switching over to a RF-63/RC-64 x2 combo for a 6.1 setup. I will probably order two XPA-3's to handle that duty. Now I just need a receiver to power my 63's until I move. I might be a little audio crazy...
  9. I have really loved all of my pioneer receivers but their MCACC doesn't EQ subwoofers. The Audyssey XT32 looks great. I am trying to not get caught up in too many specs, the last time I researched for nearly a year before ordering the SC-35. Obsessive Compulsive much? Haha
  10. Well, I don't ever plan on using my TV, or my Oppo's 3D capabilities but I would like the new receiver to be 4k compatible even though my current DLP isn't.
  11. Oh, I guess I should mention that the most important features to me are power and video. I want a great receiver to pair with my Oppo 103.
  12. I am looking for a new receiver under $1,500. I used to own two Harmon Kardon AVR's but the new models are pretty light and that worries me. I have owned two Pioneers AVR's, the last being my Elite SC-35. Just looking for some suggestions from you guys. The renew AVR will be driving my RF-63's and probably a RC-64 and RS-62's. I was looking at the Onkyo 818 that just went on sale for $799 but I have never owned a Onlyo receiver before. Just looking for suggestions on what you would but if you were in the market this week. Thanks again!
  13. It's a wonderful player. Congrats!
  14. OMG!!! I am in love with that TV.. To tell you the truth, I didn't even know that they made a 90" and I was shopping for the 80" a few months back. Nice gear man and we,come!
  15. I hear you. I have made quite a long and expensive subwoofer journey. Martin Logan Abyss, dual Martin Logan Abyss', SVS 25-31, SVS PB 12 plus and numerous others. This little Klipsch has surprised me, especially since I only paid $200 for it.
  16. Yup, it's a RSW10. I am quite impressed by this little sub, so much so that now I have been looking for a couple of RSW12's or even a pair of RT12's(long shot). Really impressed!
  17. Picked up this little guy for $200 today.
  18. My RF-63's love my XPA-5. No hiss at all. I would love to try out the XPR-5 but there is no way that beast would fit into my stand.
  19. People's opinions will tend to lean heavily towards what they have experience with or own, especially subwoofers. I choose the Rythmik because it digs a little deeper but ai am sure if we put them side by side in the same room and played the same content, they would both knock our socks off. I had the PC12 Plus and I can tell you that the FV15HP is in a whole different league. Now I am planning on adding another FV15HP. It never ends.. http://www.data-bass.com/systems
  20. From what I have gathered, the Rythmik FV15HP with the 600w amp out performs the SVS Ultra. When I was shopping for subwoofers, it was between PSA and Rythmik. I loved my SVS so it hurts me to type such things... Can't wait to hear your impressions Josh, that PSA looks like a solid performer.
  21. I have always wanted to hear a RSW 15 and I waited over a year, with no luck, for one to pop up locally. I wonder how my Rythmik would stack up against two RSW 15's? The only thing I don't like about the Rythmik is that my front soundstage isn't symmetrical but I don't want to drop another $1600 on another FV15HP. Congrats on the pickup, can't wait to hear some more impressions..
  22. I bought my cherry 63's and I had to travel a couple of hours to get them. Totally worth it. Get the seller on the horn and discuss the speakers to make sure there aren't any unpleasant surprises when you show up.
  23. I really think the woofers would be safer left in the cabinet but I haven't shipped allot of speakers.
  24. I had that sub for about a year. Very good performer for HT. I see them pop up every once and a while for $300-350. I sold mine for around $300 I think and the guy that bought it absolutely loves it.
