    A Good Bicycle?

Bicycles are dangerous enough on the street. Being on a recumbent you sit lower and the people in car's and SUV's loose sight of you over the hood and 1/4 panel. In a line of cars the only one to get a good look at you is the first car, the next cars you kind of pop up out of nowhere. Some recumbent riders use a 1/4 inch pole with a flag on it. This does not help. The flag points straight back because of the wind. It needs to be 3x bigger and sit at an angle so it faces flat to oncoming cars.

    A Good Bicycle?

Nice bike tarheel. One area that you might want to upgrade ( beside the seat) is a derailleur. The ones on your bike are not very high up the food chain. Going up a model or two can make a huge improvement. Where I ride it's pretty flat. Most of the time I am in the big chain ring up front. I end up doing most of my shifting on the rear wheel. If you want to upgrade check out a 105 or slx shadow. Ask the shop if they are compatible with your shifter. They run $ 60-70.
  4. I know of two places where three or four friends bought 15 acres. They put up a 2 car metal car port, screened it in, have a wall on one side with a bathroom/shower. It's set up nice wood stove, big screen tv, stereo , everything you would want. They live in camping trailers. Great way to beat property tax and house payments.
  5. When I was 11 or 12 our parents went on a weeks vacation. We ate dinner at a friends house, went to school everyday and had a high school senior (family friend) stop by and check on us at night. Love those old small Minnesota towns.
  6. Somewhere upstairs there is a pair of Klipsch being fed more than a few watts.
  7. The new Reference Premiere RP-160M look like they are in the same class as the RB61 II's. I wonder if the 61's are going away?
