  1. DeanG I thought the RF-7's were your pride and joy, why did u get rid of them?
  2. What do u mean u hear the crossover??
  3. What you guys are probably hearing is the microphone in the movies. Due to the klipsch high efficiency it reveals alot of sounds you would not otherwise hear with most speakers. The crackling very well may be the microphones in the movie. Joe
  4. The best buy store by me has all of the setups you guys are talking about. All the speakers athena, jbl, bose, sony, yamaha and klipsch are all connected to the same yamaha receiver and all setups play the same music. And yes the klipsch beats them all by far. I have visited this best buy numerous times and did listening tests each time. The klipsch had by far the best imaging, upfront, clear, dynamic sound of them all. All the other brand name speakers sound like they have a towel over them compared to the klipsch. The last time I went to best buy I noticed on all of the other speaker setups except the klipsch they had the bass boost and treble nob turned up past neutral close to 3/4 but not on the klipsch it was neutral smack right in the vertical position. The synergy line is a major step up vs. all the other brand name speakers and of course is a step down compared to the more expensive klipsch reference series just my 02. Joe
  5. Nothing and I mean nothing beats the up front sound of Klipsch. Klipsch puts the artist in the same room with you, I mean this is the whole purpose of music right. Anyways compare the klispch sound to a B@W, Paradigm and Dynaudio which are all laid back, they all sound pale in comparison to the klipsch. The awesome aggresive powerful beast sound of klipsch will always stay with me.
  6. I am very curious in hearing the differences between the RF-7 and KLF-30. I have never heard these speakers side by side so please tell us in detail the sonic differences between the two. Joe
  7. I have heard the 20 grand speakers at my local dealer and no they are not better than klipsch. They were hooked up to over 30 grand of electronics with $1500 a foot speaker wire. Ya they may possibly be more accurate but they were boring, lame, dry and laid back compared to the klipsch. I honestly prefer my Rf-3 signature over them. The B&W did sound as big as the klipsch though but they are so inefficient. The size of the sound is the only comparable feature of the BW to the klipsch, other than that they fall short. My klipsch also goes much louder with authority than the BW and I have a yamaha RXV-800 receiver which cost me 800 bucks. I can just imagine what klipsch would sound like on that equipment and in that room. JOE
  8. After reading sell's thread it became immidiately apparent to me that it is "foodforthought".
  9. Most boring lame stanley cup I have seen. I only watched game 7 in its entirety and I almost fell asleep. Just one word explains it about both these teams and that is the Neutral Zone Trap and both can't play without it. New Jersey and Anaheim are the most boring teams in the NHL. Hockey at present is much too defensive. Too bad Detroit and Toronto didint play eachother in the cup that would have been a great stanley cup finals. I dont know if you were refering to Detroit or not but Anaheim did not beat detroit with authority. Detroit dominated Anaheim everygame but didint get any breaks. Puck just didint bounce in detroits favor. Anyway just my .02 cents. joe
  10. Cast Away is the best sounding DVD that I have heard. Joe
  11. I have heard them side by side, 2 words compare the def techs to the Klipsch "DARK and DULL".
  12. The speakers on my television set sound almost as good as bose spekers no joke.
  13. I plan on buying the RF-7 and RC-7 at www.acousticsounddesign.com or www.sounddistributors.com both giving me a great price and the same price. Wondering if any of u can tell me which one u would prefer over the other? They are both not authorized to sell klipsch and they both told me they take the original serial numbers off the speakers or else they wouldnt be able to sell them. This is fine with me since I will never buy from my authorized dealer again.

    NEW KLIPSCH LINE!

Ya, I think the RF-7 is still the top of the line flagship model.
  15. If u click on newscenter at top and then click on latest news on right u will get all of the new products. Here is a quote "In total, there are 14 new Klipsch Reference Series loudspeakers. Included are three passive towers (RF-15, RF-25, and RF-35), four bookshelf models (RB-15, RB-25, RB-35, and RB-75), two center channels (RC-25 and RC-35), two surround speakers (RS-25 and RS-35), which include Klipschs exclusive Wide Dispersion Surround Technology (WDST), and three new subwoofers that debut Klipschs new Corner Port Technology". They are also coming out with new cool looking computer speakers.
  16. Wow listening to all u klipschers argue is funny. I heard from a reliable source that klispch is coming out with a new line at ces or cedia and this will just add to the equation and complicate things even more on what is the best sound.
  17. Yes my local regal movie theater has klipsch and yes it is by far the best sound I have ever heard at the movies, magical 3 dimensional sound. It blows away the general cinema now amc thx certified room which uses electro voice speakers. It also blows away the other regal a little farther out from where I live which doesnt use klispch. Oh by the way I heard from a very reliable source that klipsch is coming out with a whole new line that range in price from the synergy series all the way up to the reference series and they will be unveiled I think next week at CES or CEDIA, I heard they were awesome.
  18. For rennocneb, I do not find the klipsch reference speakers bright at all, at home and at the dealer. Did you try placing other speakers in the same spot you placed the klipsch and see how they sound. I have heard martin logan and also paradigm that sounded more harsh than the klispch. The sound i hear out the klipsch reference series speakers are a real, live, natural sound. joe This message has been edited by JLL on 05-23-2002 at 02:12 AM
  19. Skonopa i know you are joking with us. Bose over klipsch what a joke, LOL the klipsch promedia's sounds better than any speaker bose has ever created. Anyways when you sober up please tell me the sonic differences between the 3 and the 7's. joe
  20. Yes skonopa what is the verdict? Did you compare all of the sonic differences between the rf-3 and rf-7 if so please tell us the differences?
  21. skonopa, when you get these rf-7's tell me how they compare to your rf-3's. Also i see you have a denon 3802 how does that sound with rf-3's, particularily does it have that warm smooth sound. i have a yamaha rxv-800 and it's a bit bright and cold. well let me know. joe
  22. ok thanks moon. i find my rf-3's very good though not muffled just clear and separated, depends on the cd though. maybe you had some placement issues but who cares you now have rf-7's which you say blow away rf-3's and that is all that counts. i plan on getting the 7's to replace my 3's and i just can't see how it can sound any better, i guess i am just in for a big surprise.
  23. ya moon tell skonopa I how these compare to your rf-3's. i have rf-3's which are great but I plan on getting rf-7's and an rc-7 very soon. i remember you saying in one of your posts that your rf-3's lack certain qualities for your tastes, what are these lack of qualities that you are talking about with the rf-3's, and what are all the sonic differences between your new rf-7's and rf-3's. This message has been edited by JLL on 05-05-2002 at 12:49 AM
  24. I totally agree with deang and leok use your rf-3's. i have a very small room 10'X 9' and i use rf-3's and they sound great better than anything else i have heard including paradigm, martin logan,b&w,monitor audio. i sit about a meter and a half from the rf-3's. I do indeed plan on upgrading to rf-7's and a rc-7 in the future.
