OK... I will put the rear speakers 2-3' apart centered on the screen, which will mean they are centered for the front row. Can the width Channels also be behind the screen?
What if i took the Heresy HIPs and mounted them next to each other in the rear and angled away from each other, or about 4' apart centered on the front screen center?
So the second row seating area is area is 15' wide, and the screen area is 19' wide... So I should move the rear surround speakers 4' from the side walls of the 2nd row seating area even though the seating area center line is 4' to the right of the screen center line?
Questions:
1. Where should I put the speakers on the back wall? The back platform is about 4' off center due to the hallway... Should I put them in the corners close to the ceiling? The speakers will be the Klipsch Heresy HIPs, and there will be a 1' soffit along the ceiling (which you can see part of in the picture... It is the open area along the right hand side of the wall). The room including the short hallway is 19' wide.
2. The side channels will be the Klipsch KP 3002 pro speakers and will be put almost lined up with the front row seating... Should the speakers be up close to the ceiling or on the floor? They are close to 3' tall. They will be mounted in a column to conceal them.
Side shot of room...
overhead view...
This is a view from the rear of the room... You can see how the screen wall is wider than the rear seating area...
I think he is a SPAMMER... If you search the email address in Google you will see he is also advertizing in Texas a Refer for $350 that is one year old.
Don't mean to steal the thread...Would a tube headphone amp be enough power to drive some JBL 2360 horns with 112db efficiency drivers (the headphone amp is 500mw)?
That is exactly what my family is doing Ron, good call! three years now, cable for the net and that is it.
But you will have much more consistent reception than I do... I watch the Sacramento stations as the SF stations are not receivable from my area.
I am going to be trying out the Topping "T" chip amp as soon as I get my new setup up and running. We will be running the chip amps for 5 channels of EV, and JBL horns and using my Denon 4520 for the bass bins, heights, and surrounds.
We dropped DTV a few years ago and went with Astound cable. Our internet is now 52Mbps down and 10.76Mbps up... We dropped everything but the internet last year and we reduced our bill by 50%. Now we watch uncompressed HDTV for free.. I just wish that our location was a little better for reception so it would be more consistent.
