  1. The same goes for audio equipment: We want to use all the watts we bought.
  2. Bose 901 was unlimited, until they weren't lol. The 2x the speaker rating is from a Klipsch brochure. I will try to find it, later lol
  3. ~ For maximum volume, the amp should be at least 2x the speaker's rating. It is in writing.
  4. Scammer now has those ^^ and he has been busy today. Heresy 4 Marantz Cinema 60 Pioneer 1980 and 1080 Kenwood Super Eleven and 11gx McIntosh 275 Yamaha RN2000 Marantz 2285 And more If you can, please report the scammer to the admins of the groups https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=Jamie Waltham
  5. Has equipment similar to our ol buddy Chuck. BTW, has anyone seen Chuck lately?
  6. I go to the suspected scammer's fb page to see who has 'liked' their posts. If their names are mercan, and the likes' names I can't pronounce, then that is a red flag. One can drill deeper and go to the pages of the likes and see they are usually from the country of Scam. The C4 and Marantz 2600 are listed in Cincinnati, the RTR is listed in Charleston WV, and he 'has' a Pioneer 1250 and Sansui G9000 listed in Jackson MS. Sure, there is a John, Paul, and Jesse, but look at the other names. ,
  7. now 3 years lol Welcome to the forum. I know where one is for sale.
  8. Welcome to the forum. Your speakers look great. I have a few B&K drivers but have never bought only diaphragms. What tweeter drivers do you have? Also, be careful giving out or responding to emails or PMs. Scammers have lured victims to those dark alleys.
  9. @HumanTrophy you have a headstart on taking them apart to restore them. Here is an option for the cabinet recoating, most people use Duritex. Here is a K33 out of a Cornwall. It is not the right woofer, but.....
  10. That wasn't what I was trying to do. I agree with what you said. IMHO, @HumanTrophy should set the K44e aside until another one, if ever, is scored. In the meantime, use a pair of K43, or even K33 to get them up and going.
  11. You might reach out to Eminence to see what they offer that's closer than this one.
  12. The K44 will probably not be an easy find. As Bruce said, the K43 can work in its place, and I would replace them both with the same woofer. Here is some more info about the two woofers. If you can score some TSCM, your C-1 will match them.
  13. There was a boy who worked in the produce section of the market. A man came in and asked to buy half a head of lettuce. The boy told him they only sold whole heads of lettuce, but the man replied he did not need a whole head, but only a half head. The boy said he would go ask his manager about the matter. The boy walked into the back room and said, "There's some arshole out there who wants to buy only half a head of lettuce." As he was finishing saying this he turned around to find the man standing right behind him, so he added, "And this gentleman wants to buy the other half." The manager okayed the deal and the man went on his way. Later the manager called on the boy and said, "You almost got yourself in a lot of trouble earlier, but I must say I was impressed with the way you got yourself out of it. You think on your feet and we like that around here. Where are you from son?" The boy replied, "Minnesota sir." "Oh really? Why did you leave Minnesota" asked the manager. The boy replied, "They're all just whores and hockey players up there." Really replied the manager, "My wife is from Minnesota!!" The boy replied, "No kidding! What team did she play for?"
  14. True story? 🧐
  15. 600-mile round trip. Wouldn't it cost a lot less to drive there and get them than to ship them? The risk of damage should be less too.
  16. Sometimes the grime hides the damage. No one saved any pictures of these?
  17. I will try to come over next weekend. I will bring my Figured Walnut Heresy and a few amps. I was hoping that you could bring your speakers here because of the room treatment I have and the amps we could try. If you have hardwood floors and or reflective surfaces, and or if your room has equal walls (a cube), then that would cause problems.
