Understand about the finish. Lacquer makes a good durable finish but is hard to work with. So they might not need anything, so $1k would be great.

If someone can score them for that price, it would be a good deal.

I am the only owner of these speakers since they were purchased in the late 80's. They sound great. Cosmetically they are showing some age but are still pretty good. I will post pictures later today. This is a steal on these classic speakers. They have hung in my garage for the past 10 years and have not been abused. I added an additional mid-range driver to each speaker to improve the mids a bit. If you are looking for a great set of speakers for a bargain price these are the way to go. Call me if you want to hear them 515-988-8629-- I have now cleaned them up and re-oiled the cases they are dust free and look great again. I have lowered the price to $150 but that is the final price.

MookieStl, those look great, great job. I don't have time right now. I have some Khorn bass bins that I could use the horns and xover to make some Frankenstein's Monsters. You're right about them being outside. I have never taken any of my Klipsch outside for jam session. These would be perfect.

Welcome to the forum Alej. Like Coytee said about the db gain, the watts have to double. I sold, then took in trade, a Sansui G5700 to a Sansui G8700DB (80 watts to 160 watts). I Large jump in watts and price for a 3db gain. The biggest difference that I've notices is the type of watts (Digital, SS, Tube) and the source (digital such as off of flash drive, CD, Vinyl). Upgrading my sources rather than louder has done the most for my listening enjoyment.

Sometimes it's tough to sale large speakers, especially in a forum where everyone already has 'just the right amount' of speakers. Did you ever get a chance to use the KLF LF as subs to your Belle?
