  1. That looks like a serious piece of equipment. Nice score!
  2. This is the second shot of the series.
  3. I'm no expert, but I've compared my images to reference photographs and believe that you are correct.
  4. This photo was taken on Lake Moultrie outside of Charleston SC.
  5. If it's never found they'll blame the republicans...

    New Puppy

There are some sick people in the world... My fuzzy dog was abandoned in a cardboard box without food or water when she was 6 weeks old. Luckily we found her and she's been with us for almost 10 years now.
  7. These are nice because they're so small and unobtrusive which is a key WAF consideration. The closest sub available today is probably the SVS SB-2000 which is $699.
  8. Watched an Emotiva X-Ref 12 subwoofer go for $537 on E-Bay today. I thought this was strange since you could buy them for $499 new before they were discontinued and the one for auction was an 8 out of 10 at best. I love mine; it's a 12" sealed sub with a 600 watt amp that can pump out bass. I was watching the auction because I want to buy another; I just wouldn't pay more than new price for a used one. These subs don't come up for sale very often; you guys think think this sale price was a fluke?
  9. When I'm grilling steaks I'll occasionally also grill a slice of yellow onion that i've brushed with olive oil and s&p. Once the onion has gotten good grill marks and softened; I'll then brush it with bbq sauce (sweet baby rays) and grill for another minute or so on both sides. Once the steaks are also done, i'll top them with the grilled bbq'd onion and sprinkle crumbled blue cheese on top. Couple of tips: You have to cut the onion slices pretty thick so they don't just completely fall apart when grilling. It also takes some practice to keep the onion from falling through the grill grates. The olive oil also can flare up so you'll have to babysit the grill.
  10. Mine are B-stock with the dark cherry veneer. The dark cherry actually works perfectly with the rest of my furniture, but there is not a lot of figure in the wood. I've seen black B-stock offered, but I've never seen or read what makes the black ones qualify as B-stock.
  11. I've read that it is difficult to get acoustics right in a square room.
  12. http://myrtlebeach.craigslist.org/ele/4360200567.html They're stained birch, but they look pretty good. No affiliation.
  13. Holy cow; their new stuff is $$$! Crazy kiwis!
  14. You don't see "made in New Zealand" too often!
  15. My bottleneck is not having a good place to mount surrounds. I'm outflanked by windows, doors, and switches!
  16. BTW, that's a kick a$$ setup you have there timdog! Congrats on the purchase!
  17. I've never noticed much air moving through my 7's ports, but maybe I don't have it turned up high enough. I run mine set to large and they produce copious bass.
  18. Nice equipment, you should have some interest around here. Have you set it all up to hear how it sounds since you inherited it? Might change your mind about selling...
  19. Mike, You need to use either the phono input on your avr, or if it doesn't have one you need to get a phono pre-amp. Hope it works out.
  20. Anyone know how a drivers x-max translates to real world performance? I.E. can a small driver with a higher x-max outperform a large driver with a smaller x-max?
