You should also seal the horizontal boards along the bass bin to the wall...in other words just seal the thing to the corner,,,lol,,,,rick

Get some Aladdin mantel lamps,,,give good light and heat we use them all the time in ice storms here,besides that they are just cool and you can buy new ones still....also look into solar power,,inverters and panel prices comming down alot last ten years,,,,could get off of grid and tell power company bye bye...rick

No he bought a soldiers speakers, im sure he loved them and wanted them listend to and taken care of...like im sure we would if we were gone...fix them up nice and enjoy them...since you got such a good buy why not look into getting them re-veneered with oak,walnut,,,make them one of a kind...rick

I would get an HK430 and a pair of Heresys,and if on smooth hard floor put grippers on the bottom of them and ,,,,stand back,,,,lol...HERITAGE be afraid,very afraid....lol rick

I think those bolts should have nuts on them,,i think those bolts go through the back panel to deliver the signal to the crossover...take the back off and look.....or the bolts hold the block on the panel,,,,but still need nuts on them i would say....rick

If they are going to be on hard smooth floor,,,remove metal sliders and go to wal-mart get grippers,,i put five 1 1/2 inchers on mine one in the middle helped alot,......it does work..Andy,gave me this idea from his years at Hope factory. Also bought a HK430 on his advice...wow....well good luck..rick

If you want sounds and smells you need to go to an NHRA event and hear real motors,,lol,,,,hey cool pinball machines love them...i have british sports car,,,ride bicycles,,,have more hobbies but not enough money to do them all...lol...would like to do more R/C planes,cars,,,,,also into slotcars but no tracks around here anymore,still got old slotcar track from when i was a kid,,,,rick...if had the money would have a motorcycle oh well maybe some day

I dont think a flat freq. response shows the dynamic range of a speaker...i went to a stereo shop a long time ago to meet Mr Paul, they did this demo of a tree being cut down with a slide show and when that tree hit the ground i know everyone in there thought that tree landed right next to thier chair...i did ,LOL, and that was with little Heresys.i would like to see those so called good speakers try this demo thats if they could even do it without blowing.Last time i looked movies dont have flat freq. response tones in them.Its like giving three people a camera to take a picture of the same thing, the one who knows about light and depth of field will make a better photograph even though its same camera and subject...rick

Well its hard for me to A-B my home built ALKs to my AAs.....but now that i had mine in for a few days and listened to wide range of music....i do think they are better.....the TOM TOMS on Hotel Calif. by the Eagles sounds much clearer,defined....im sure the two crossovers are real close but you gotta love the design and work AL put into these....thanks AL for putting up directions to make these i had fun making them.....rick

I think those are 1971 and no i would leave crossovers alone...unless the oil caps are leaking... you could go with ALKs, i made my own ALKs fun to do.I think FR means finished raw,,,,is there a finish on them,,,,if you have a pic would help to,do you have them sealed to wall properly and if you have hard smooth floors seal them to floor with grippers or silicone,,,makes big difference,...rick

I saw a new thing at home depot its called erasable marker board very thin and stiff....would make a great grill board i think. Also there are other boards better than masonite stuff,like the thin white panels for bathroom not sure what its called,but you just need to look around.....rick...also the cut outs match the ports and drivers exactly on my 2s

Couldn't they build a coffee table design or one that looks like those shelves behind a couch?I realize the coffee table one would be huge but hey if it does the job.....just a thought...as far as room goes...salesmen tell me all the time the Heresys are to big to keep in showroom or sell....then i look over at the RF series and say....those take up more room than Heresys....then i ask them...have you ever even seen a heresy?? they say no...go figure..lol...rick

I think i saw a pair of K-Horns in Allen Jacksons interview,also there is a pair of Cornwalls i think on the house boat in the movie 9 1/2 weeks.Saw a few more somewhere else but cant remember right now,let me think on this a bit,but Andy would now more im sure.....rick

The newer Heresys were not front mounted for the flare of the horn,,,they are front mounted for productin speed,,,i still find it hard to believe it makes much difference.....but then some have said the same thing to me and Andy about grippers and HK430....so i guess if it sounds good do it....rick...ps you know you can front mount it without removing the driver...they did it on Heresys,cornwalls...its just got a half circle cut out on the hole, top and bottom just enough to get it through the slot
