  1. Winning the "interweb" for a day is a fine achievement. During the month of May, while living in Indy, makes one want to visit the museum at the track. I could just stare at the late 50s, and 60 race cars for hours. The only thing better than seeing them, is hearing them during the parade, or before the race starts when all those old classics are brought back to life, some driven by their original drivers.
  2. 4 wheels will move your ***, 2 wheels will move your soul….
  3. They look very nice, excellent find.
  4. agreed!! I would bring them out for all to see, or go with the pro cinema stuff like you did
  5. It looks like your dog is guarding your system….glws.
  6. I've gone through a couple hernia operations, you're correct, they're not much fun. I remember watching a special about my favorite football player ever, Walter Payton. He was only 5-10, around 210 lbs, and would get crushed by half the opposing defense. He would continuously tell himself "it doesn't hurt, it's only pain, it won't affect me". By the time he walked back to the huddle, the pain was gone, and he was ready for the next play. It reminds me of a movie with Mark Walberg as a Navy Seal. Him and 3 others were dropped off behind enemy lines, and a whole village of bad guys shot the living hell out of them. He survived, but it shows how much abuse and pain a human can endure. I believe it was a true story, but I do not remember the name.
  7. Welcome Tim. The Palladiums do have an exquisite sound, and a stunning presence, it's a shame they're hidden behind your screen
  8. I've been picking around for 27 years!!! No tour for me either
  9. Dang….I'm hurting just thinking about that I know what you mean, I can deal with my pain or injuries way better than someone else's injury. I have a pretty physical job and get beat up sometimes. You just have to go on and not complain about it. I'm sure I got that from my Dad.
  10. Tropical mahogany with a relief route… sounds exquisite. Would a better guitar help my playing ability? I keep buying them thinking I'll get better, but no luck yet
  11. If she's not good enough for her own family, she ain't good enough for ours.
  12. You seem to have a plan and it's coming together, that is all good news. Just have to take is slow sometimes, probably a pretty serious injury I'm sure. It's amazing how durable the human body is, especially with the right attitude.
  13. It could be a great chance to get away, have you ever been there before? Maybe a chance of a lifetime.
  14. That's a great photo…nice looking pups!
  15. My wife and daughters just spent 15 days at her Dad's home in New Braunfels, is that close to you? A lot of cool history around that area. I remember the Gristmill when I was there 6 years ago.
  16. Jim, I hope you heal up quickly. Have you been able to do any fishing? I remember you being a fisherman. That could be a relaxing activity if you can get out and about….Bill

Look. Just cause I got fired off that job doesn't mean I wasn't doing good work. What can I say. I got distracted by a pair of Twins. Didn't Noah have twin daughters
  18. Guitar pick from Rick Nielson, he had a way of flicking them across the stage, pretty amazing. Drum stick from Edwin McCains drummer. I did party with Van Halen before they were famous. I was 15 and their first album just came out. My buddy owned a record store. They were promoting their album, my buddy had a keg in his storeroom.
  19. The first time i met Brian May, when i came home I picked up a guitar to see if i could play better after shaking his hand….I still sounded like me. That's awesome that you met so many band members. Brian is definitely rock royalty. Just curious…did you meet these bands because of your job?
  20. That is so sad. The worst part is all of the victims were quality individuals. Why can't these wackos shoot the low-lifes.

The Chevy Chase skits with him falling always make me laugh. Physical humor can be hilarious with a word being spoken.
  22. I saw them 4 times, all in the late 70s, early 80s. Once about 6 rows back, center stage. I commented on your Best Performance thread about them playing Tie Your Mother Down, it was absolutely magical!! They are just seemed so in tune with each other. I liked the fact that the whole band knew Freddie was the star of the concert, and he would rock the whole show. I have a few of their live DVDs, and watch them a few times a year.
  23. I heard a lot of people didn't like this movie, I thought it was excellent….great human story. I guess people need the special effects these days.

Didn't you work on the Arc?
  25. Then add Queen to mine Post that again and i’ll like it again. Queen should've been in my top five anyway. Maybe the greatest band ever!
